Fratellos Riverfront Restaurant

We came to celebrate my Dad's birthday. Fratellos did not disappoint!! The view, food, service, cocktails, and atmosphere were all spectacular! Our server tried to start the place on fire, but that's another story haha Highly recommend! The menu is superb and reasonably priced. Portions were large. The atmosphere is not stuck up or snobby, very relaxing for this high quality of a restaurant. We went early, so there was no wait.

Excellent restaurant in Appleton! We were just passing by on the way to visit family in a different city, and met with some friends for a quick lunch. Although we didn’t order much because we weren’t staying long, the salads we got were delicious and very well prepared. The place is pricey, but from what I ate, it was clearly worth it. We also had a couple drinks which were also really good, I can especially recommend the Aperol spritz. Our waiter was very nice and made sure we were doing great throughout the meal. Overall, I really enjoyed our stay, and I would definitely come back if I stop by the city again.

A gem of a restaurant located in an historic building (the site of the first hydroelectric plant in the world) overlooking the roiling water flowing from the dams on Fox Lake. Food, service and atmosphere were fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant.

With that being said, I ordered the Surf & Turf. My husband ordered a gluten-free pasta from their separate gluten-free menu. I am pleasantly surprised with this menu. It was not just a few options like other restaurants.

The gluten-free pasta was perfectly done with just the right amount of heat. The Surf & Turf consists of a small lobster tail, 8 oz filet Minion. The steak was done to perfection. The cut was a bit too thick to allow for a thorough cook. I'd suggest thinking about sous vide for steak this thick. Mine, although cooked to a perfect medium rare, it was too rare in the center. The cut was just a little bit too thick.
The Riverfront View is a beautiful feature that you can enjoy from anywhere you are seated.

Nice place with lots of glass down by the Fox River. Food, drinks and service was fantastic. The cheese curds are also on point.

Beautiful place with excellent food and service. Plan ahead and get a reservation or be willing to sit at the bar. We'll worth every penny to me!

The food was delicious, the restaurant was super cool and the service was outstanding!!! I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in town and I’ll be sure to pass the word.

Update: We returned and enjoyed the igloo experience. It was so very fun! We reserved it a few weeks ahead. A small deposit was made but credit was given on the bill for it.
Inside was so warm and cozy. They have chairs and love seats around a coffee table.
The lights added ambiance, with a Bluetooth speaker, and adjustable heaters we could really design our own vibe. The only drawback is eating a meal on the low table was a little difficult. Overall, unique and fun way to dine!
The location and atmosphere were fantastic! They were busy by 6 on Friday. Sitting on the patio with the water rushing was lovely. The server was very attentive and gave good suggestions.
The cocktails were yummy! The warm bread appetizer was good. We had the elk burger and lobster roll. We enjoyed the food but wished it had a little more flair. A fun sauce would have made the burger much better. We didn't try dessert but will next time.
It's a nice place to bring out of town friends and family to show off the pretty view.

Best scallops I’ve ever had. Incredible appetizers and ambiance. One of the best restaurants in the Fox Valley. Can’t wait to go back!

I had the steak and scallops. I've never had scallops before but these were perfectly seared and melted in my mouth. My wife had the shrimp and said it was excellent. Great place, I would go there again.

I haven’t tried any of the food, but I enjoy stopping here for a glass of wine once and a while during happy hour. They offer $1 off between the hours of 3-6pm I believe. They have a great selection of wine and a nice bar area to sit at. I love the ambiance and view of the Fox River as well as the set up. The high top bar tables are uniquely designed and provide an intimate experience to share with another; or just by yourself. I take my laptop to get some work done and have had a great experience with their wifi connection as well.

Had a nice dinner experience. Atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. River view with the dam was very nice also. Restaurant was clean and well maintained. Service was good and the flow of food arriving at the table was spaced perfectly. Enjoyed a blueberry basil margarita that was a great mix of sweet and tart. Also enjoyed some delicious truffle fries before steak and scallops for dinner. Highly recommend stopping in to enjoy some apologizes and drinks or for a nice quiet dinner experience.

Amazing experience!! Great food and the best service we’ve had in Appleton! We celebrated our anniversary and they provided Champaign and a piece of cake (delicious, btw)!
We ordered Bruschetta (7/10), Truffle Shrimp Carbonara (10/10), House Salad (9/10), Moscow Mule (8/10) and Cioccolato Fiorentino (10000/10 ❤)

Beautiful view. Friendly manager. We were there in the middle of the afternoon, the waitress didn’t offer suggestions of options like the salad dressings or filling our water. We had to ask. The food was good, nice presentation. Almond crusted walleye was amazing. Scallops were good but only came with three and for the price, at least four would have been nice 😊 The mushroom, cheese and prosciutto risotto was good but heavy on the salt. Overall, the atmosphere and the manager got this review the five star.

The waitstaff was wonderful. She took the time to answer our questions about the menu items. Food was delicious. The place was packed at 6pm on Tuesday. Nice view of the waterfront. Wouldn't recommend for children. Upscale restaurant. We were glad they were able to convert the building to this restaurant.

Had reservations to meet friends for supper. We had to adjust our time, and the restaurant was very accommodating. The view is very nice. I can only imagine what it would look like in different seasons. The inside is rustic, and unique. Quite interesting how they turned a hydroelectric power plant into this restaurant. Service was quick, and very prompt and regular. We ordered the crunch tenders for an appetizer, which are chicken tenders. I have no idea how or what is in the breading, but they were amazing. I would love to have just a meal of them. My main meal was the almond crusted wallet. Very unique and quite delicious. Definitely would go back and highly recommend!

This place is absolutely stunning. The views alone are worth going for. The food was exceptionally worth it. It is a bit on the expensive side, however, the dishes they serve you won't find anywhere else. Unique and just beautiful. Bruschetta is to flipping die for!!!

This place is so neat! Outdoor dining experience is one of a kind! The sound of the water rushing, and the scenes of the pelicans, geese, ducks, seagulls! Soooo cool!
Then the food! I can’t say enough! Yum! On a scale of one to ten I give it a 20!!

Fratellos's is wonderful. Had a drink at the bar before dinner. Bar service was great and drinks were great. Had dinner and loved everything. Food was prepared very well and super appealing presentation. Our server was Rose and she was amazing. Very helpful and attentive. Great atmosphere and beautiful views. Enjoyed our night visiting family in the area and look forward to going back!

Sat outside to enjoy the weather. Location is right at the dam, so it is an enjoyable waterfall like sound and scenery. Food is always on point. Staff is friendly and attentive. I got the salmon plate, and it was prepared perfectly.
