We came for afternoon tea and had a great experience. We did the royal tea service, and it was fantastic. The sandwiches were amazing and fresh. The champagne and caviar were excellent. The tea was very good. We had a corner table sort of by the garden entryway, and it was a perfect spot with shade. The garden and grounds were magnificent and clearly well maintained. The service was impeccable, and they really did great catering to our ever need. We will definitely go back.

We are a large Italian family and required a lot of rooms and space so the Carriage House at The Baker House exceeded our needs. From the beautiful grounds, salt water private pool to staff that were 2nd to none-it was an amazing experience. Is ideally located within walking distance to the East Hampton village. Best part though was Anne, the Innkeeper. She was so charming, accommodating, had a great personality and makes the best breakfast! She’s the reason we will surely return.

We loved our escape to The Hamptons and our stay at The Baker House. It's a beautiful Inn with lovely grounds. The staff were exceptional. The spa experience is one of a kind. We loved learning about the history of the property. Would highly recommend.

There is a reason The Baker House has been named one of the best of the best by Johansens / Conde Nast past two years! It is a true treasure of an historic property in addition to being an extraordinary, boutique luxury resort…

I have personally stayed as a guest, attended events and held our own events here and with everything the level of service / quality of food / amenities and attention to detail let alone the sheer beauty and vintage elegance of this place is 5 star and beyond…

If you want to absolutely unwind and relax — and rejuvenate yourself — simple, small and private / elegant is sometimes the best way to do that.

My favorite luxury hotel in the Hamptons hands down… Bravo ! 👌

What a charming and inviting property! The history runs deep through the buildings, and landscaping. We could stay for days, enjoying the hospitality and service! Incredibly comfortable environment and surroundings! Privacy beyond what we expected. And the staff was most attentive to our needs and desires. And, fortunately, bilingual. Our new go to in East Hampton! Thank you everyone for our visit.

Baker House surpassed every expectation — the very best offseason stay imaginable.

So many very lovely features to name, among them: incredible library (calming magazines and NYT yr best reads); hallways/common spaces somehow smell divine; deluxe private spa experience with possibility of choosing own music; hot cocoa keurig option; inside fireplace (in carriage house) and outdoor fire pits already set so super easily started; seeded sourdough toast from local bakery within breakfast; twice-daily room turnover.

But best of all this was the staff. From letting us drop bags early to no question adding extra Canadian bacon to breakfast, plus warm chats whenever we happened by, so so great.

Thank you so much Baker House! Cheers

Best bed & breakfast experience I’ve ever had. Rooms are gorgeous, breakfast is great, service is top notch, ambience/interior design is nicely curated, the spa (sauna, large hot tub, steam shower, and more) is amazing, and the location is great (we were able to walk to many of our restaurant reservations).

My husband and I had a great stay at the Baker House. We stayed overnight on our Wedding Night. The staff was great, they had a bottle of Champagne for us as a congratulations which was so thoughtful. The room was clean and cozy. The breakfast the next morning was so delicious and everyone was so pleasant. Would definitely stay again!

A fairytale B&B

The most enchanting hotel you could go to in the Hamptons. A very private hotel set on two absolutely beautiful set of grounds. The gardens are a must walk and sitting by the pools to sunbathe, or have their incredible brunch, feels like you just stepped into a fairytale inn. The rooms are amazing with exquisite bathrooms. The spa is one of the best I've ever experienced and the treatments feel incredible. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. All in all, this hidden gem has been my favourite part of my trip to the Hamptons and I will definitely come back many times.

Wow this East Hampton bed and breakfast and hotel was tremendous. The staff was super friendly without being overbearing and every detail was well thought out from the decor and amenities in the room, to the lemon infused water to the coffee and oh my the breakfast was amazing. The grounds are simply gorgeous, both in summer and winter, and they have great connections for things to do in East Hampton like spas and vineyards. If you are looking for a wonderful weekend in East Hampton, renting a room at the Baker House is definitely the way to go.

Such a special place in the Hamptons! A very quaint and well maintained bed and breakfast on a beautiful set of grounds.
My fiancé and I got engaged there on a recent stay, and the entire staff went above and beyond to make it a special experience.
Highly recommend this place whether for a special occasion or just to get away for some R&R

Simply stunning, this place is a perfect spot to get away and unwind from it all. Gorgeous lay out of the home and the fireplace in the room was perfect! Downstairs is the couples spa and it has a small swimming pool. It is spectacular. Head out back to the private swimming pool and lounge on the chairs. A very peaceful and relaxing get away

AMAZING PLACE!!, AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! TOP COMFORT!!!
Where should i start?? we are not usuals in B&Bs mainly because we are too demanding and we prefer Full Luxury Service but The Baker house is there to PLEASE, and it does DELIVER!!! Although frequent visitors to NY never really had the chance to go to the hamptons. We dropped our children at their schools in upper NY and this was just THE PERFECT experience to CHERRY our Trip. Very Private and Quiet but Great Hamptons atmosphere. The bakers house is elegant, charming, perfectly located (walking distance to main town and restaurants) and EXTREMELY Comfortable. Nobody would believe that this property is not only a land mark but hundreds of years old; it smells delicious, it is SPOTLESS clean, homy and private! It has a Great collection of books and magazines throughout the whole property and the Decor is just perfect (even original floors and doors). Also, the linens are Top of the line,a bed that makes you not want to wake up, great amenities , an AC that works not only to perfection but totally noiceless (not very common) and gardens that are simply "To dye for".... I stayed at the Gardiner Room which is a fairly sized room (kind of a junior Suite and i believe the largest in the main building) with a superb view of the pool and gardens (there are 2 outdoor pools and one indoor). Since i liked the property so much i was lucky enough to get a Peek of some other rooms : There are to please all!!!, small and cute and more spacious for people that like to hang out more in their rooms (like us). Also, In the carriage house (a separate building) they have a Beautifull suite with its own spacious balcony. There is no room service but they have a fully stocked self service bar so upon arrival of your dinning experience you can enjoy a drink in the living room or at the terrace. The mini bar at the room is Great and what ever you request they will get for you!! Brunch is also Delicious (don't miss the home made scones!) we are definitely going back in the winter so we can see all those beautiful fireplaces working!! I really felt in another world and couldn't think of a critique!!! 7 stars to this one!!!

My experience staying at the Baker House 1650 will likely never be topped by any other hotel or bed and breakfast. I had a truly remarkable vacation this summer at this more than accommodating B&B. A main feature for this B&B is their spa - it's unbeatable. If you're planning on staying in East Hampton or around Montauk I highly recommend you book a room here!

Drove in from the city on a Friday after work and even just one night at The Baker House 1650 made me never want to leave.

Beautiful home with incredible amenities and a brilliant sense of comfort. This house is better than going to a hotel and makes you feel at home in East Hampton.

Bravo, Baker House.

The Baker House 1650 in East Hampton is just an amazing bed and breakfast experience. It's an old house from 1600's with all the old world charm. If you want to have a massage or the private pool make an appointment and reserve your private time. The rooms are quite beautiful and offer a lot of charm and all the necessities. They offer delicious breakfast each morning, The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

We were greeted immediately by Karen who couldn't have been more thoughtful or welcoming
Our room the common areas were all beautiful with all the amenities one could ask for - magazines books newspapers fireplaces
Tea coffee wine snacks - perfect
Breakfast was a choice of 1/2 dozen items plus fruit and pastries
We again chatted for quite awhile with Karen who also gave us a tour of the beautiful spa area
We are looking forward to coming back again soon!

Truly charming, close walk to either Maidstone in or 1770 / living room for a bite. Very calm and the staff just blend in.
