Mill House Inn

This is simply an incredible place to stay in East Hampton...everything is wonderful. We have been staying there for years and years and every time we stay is more special than the last. The service is wonderful and the rooms are impeccable. Of course it is also a great location so close to town, but nothing compares to the people who run the hotel. Don't miss this gem!

We loved our stay at the The Mill House Inn, and are already planning our next trip. It was my spouses first time out east and I wanted to find a place that was welcoming, had the spirit of the Hamptons, and was well located so we could visit different villages. What I failed to realize when I booked was that we could also just park the car at the Inn and not move it as there was so much to see and do in East Hampton. Genius. Dawn welcomed us and made us feel right at home and it was as if we had our own country house. We loved the breakfast, the friendly staff, and the fact that the other guests seemed to be regulars really spoke to us. We are quite and love to meditate, and walk in nature, so this was heaven to us. Under Dawn's guidance we went to the local beach and surprise, saw a seal giving birth to a pup, had an amazing meal or two thanks to her suggestions and picked up food at Citarella right down the street. We had a lovely time at The Mill House Inn and our two day stay was as relaxing as a week long vacation.

A hidden gem full of charm and class in every way. We had an amazing stay and we will definately be back. Wonderful attention to detail and the food and hospitality was perfection... if i could give more stars I would.

I have traveled the world and stayed at thousands of beautiful hotels, resorts and even Palaces … the hospitality and warmth I experienced at Mill House Inn was special!
I am not given to hyperbolic statements … but this place is a treasure! No matter what you need or ask they are there to serve and are so helpful … they know the Hamptons it’s traffic , it beat beaches … it spots for sun set or sun rise! The rooms are cute and very very clean !

Great location and service! They provided beach pass with chairs and umbrella plus cooler with water and ice. made it really easy to enjoy our trip. Also is a short walk to shops. Breakfast was included and really good and very large. They were extremely accommodating.

We stayed for three nights at the Mill House Inn and it was an incredible vacation! The room was perfect for a romantic getaway. Room 7 has an amazing bathroom that makes you feel as if you’re in your own personal spa. Breakfast was also delicious and very generously portioned. We had incredible lobster rolls as well as more traditional breakfast fare. Great coffee and side dishes delivered right to your door!

Dawn took care of our every need and provided excellent recommendations for where to eat and what to do in the Hamptons. She called ahead and made sure we would be taken care of at our restaurants of choice, too! The snack bar is a very nice amenity and the Inn’s overall vibe was extremely cozy and welcoming. We even spent some time in their back garden around the koi pond despite the cold weather.

The location is very convenient; you can walk almost anywhere you might need to go, even to the beach! It was the perfect escape from the city. Thanks, Mill House! We’ll be back :)

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at Mill House Inn. Travelling with our teenage daughter, so Suite Thirty-Two was perfect for us all to have space, and the outdoor deck was a great place to catch the morning or evening sun. The staff at MHI were especially helpful with local tips on what to see and do, as well as arranging restaurant bookings and parking at the beach. Thank you - we'll be back one day. Phil W

The stay at Mill House Inn was wonderful! Dawn at the reception gave us amazing tips to explore and provided us with outstanding service. The Inn is very romantic, offering a very cosy and welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast is a la carte and the selection + quality is great. We will be coming back soon! The best service ever. Delicious snack bar (with lots of options). Delicious and very fancy breakfast. In fact, everything was fancy, clean, hospitable and just amazing. The pillows were literally the softest pillows I have ever felt.
The only minus was that the room door had a slightly larger than comfortable opening at the bottom and so because our room (11) was right outside of the dining area, we heard conversation and never felt really private. Didn't take so much away however because the hospitality was incredible.

There are no better accommodations in East Hampton than the Mill House Inn. Each of the rooms has its own personality, so it's difficult to pick a favorite. All are beautifully furnished. The Mill House is spotlessly clean everywhere. The atmosphere is completely serene, so it's easy to relax from the moment you arrive. Members of the staff are warm, friendly and accommodating. The breakfast menu is amazing--another area where it's hard to choose a favorite. Every dish is expertly prepared and delicious. The portions are so generous that I'm never able to finish. Another plus--the Mill House Inn is pet- and child-friendly, and my son always loved his visits when he was a young boy! And how about those cookies!

Mill House Inn is a charming property, ideally located just a short walk from the beautiful town of East Hampton. Upon arrival both Kenny & Dawn offer a warm welcome to ensure your stay is perfection. Nestled back along the tree line street of North Main it's beautiful landscape and views of the Windmill make for a perfect quiet escape. Sit on the front porch enjoying a iced tea while viewing locals walk by. The Mill House Inn delivers optimum privacy. Smartly designed expansive rooms, stylishly furnished, airy and feature everything you will need during your stay. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and sunken tub to relax in after a day at the beach. The Eucalyptus salts were a nice touch in the room. The bedrooms (offering different interior styles) and indoor outdoor living areas affords quiet, privacy while offering plenty of space for a family. All the luxuries are in the suites needed while having optimum privacy amongst the other guests. I would highly recommend this property for the couples discovering the island for the first time as there is no comparison having stayed at many of hotels in the Hamptons. Breakfast is served at requested appointed time directly to your door. Lobster Rolls, Blueberry Pancakes, Delicious vegetable omelette are amongst a delectable selection of choices. Coffee Hot with so many varieties around the globe. After sitting under the big blue Hampton Skies, bathed in sunlight all day long, it's a wonderful feeling to go back to Mill House Inn, feeling welcomed and relax before heading into town for a lovely dinner. Sylvia & Gary the proprietors have a special place when considering where to stay in the Hamptons.

The Mill House Inn is a Hamptons GEM! Understated elegance with a hip East Hampton vibe, this B & B delivered an exceptional experience for the perfect long weekend getaway. Fresh, delicious breakfasts (twin lobster rolls, amazing pancakes with just picked blueberries, incredible bacon with scrumptious omelettes) delivered to your room every morning, close proximity (walkable) to all shops and restaurants, clean and well appointed rooms and a warm, charming staff. Kenny (General Mgr.) and Dawn (Reception) were ultra accommodating and extremely customer service oriented with delightfully engaging personalities. DO NOT hesitate to book this wonderful B & B for your next Hamptons stay, you won't be disappointed. We can't wait to return!!!

I came for 2 nights and stayed 9! I love this place. The breakfast (especially the french toast) is amazing and the staff are so nice. They were so flexible with us coming late, extending and taking up their dining room during the day. The front covered porch, with the view of the famous windmill, was perfect for my morning coffee. Also, we will always be thankful for the staff for letting us know the secrets of the locals for when we buy a house out here. We will definitely be returning! Thank you!

This place was amazing. Rooms were very nice and really good breakfast options. The staff is top notch too. Dawn is such a nice and personable lady and helped with anything we needed. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The Mill House Inn will forever have a special place in my heart as this is where my fiancé (then boyfriend) and I stayed when he proposed on the beach in East Hampton. Upon arrival at Mill House, the staff warmly greeted us and made sure we immediately took advantage of the snack bar they have in the check-in area, comprised of delicious cookies, savory treats, iced tea, and so much more.

Our room was fantastic. It had a very cozy and relaxed ambiance. The bathroom is huge with a nice bathtub and stand up shower. I was obsessed with the lavender-scented skin, hair products and their plush bathroom robes.

The couple who runs the day-to-day operations for Mill House, J and Courtney, are such warm and friendly people who made a genuine effort to get to know us and ensure that we had the most wonderful stay. We really got to know them during our breakfasts, which were absolutely delicious!! We loved everything - the fresh fruit, lobster frittata, scrambled eggs, etc. We also enjoyed some of the best coffee we’ve ever had, thanks to J and his passion for carefully selecting coffee beans (don’t leave without trying “Baby’s coffee” from Key West) and using a unique brewing process.

Carolyn, the Resident Manager, was great; she made sure we had champagne and cheese waiting for us in our room when we returned from the post-engagement beach day. They were all in on my fiancé’s proposal plans and I am beyond grateful that I’ll always associate them and that beautiful inn with our engagement.

Overall, amazing experience and I would highly recommend staying there!

Been coming here for almost 15 years. Back when it was just Gary, Sylvia and Cory. We have seen the place expand to what it is today. We have stayed in most of the rooms, suites and even one of the cottages. Each has it's own charm. There are snacks served all day (pretzels, cookies, coffees, teas, chips and a host of others. The breakfast that is served is second to none. Fresh fruit, omelets, pancakes, French toast and will take special orders if you wish. During the day, the dining area is set up with an assortment of board games. The staff is exceptional. We always look forward to staying at the MHI. If it's for a few days or just a quick overnight getaway. You can't go wrong staying here.

Can we give 6 stars? We stayed only 1 night last week (which wasn't long enough) and had a fantastic time. We stayed in Suite 20 which was incredible and loved all the additional touches to the place, such as free cookies, drinks and dvds which were perfect for an Autumn evening. The in room breakfast was also fantastic. We'll definitely be returning!

Quite charming and unique. Walking down main street to see quaint homes built back in the 1700's. Busy place with staff ready to attend to your needs. Was here on Memorial day weekend. Fresh flowers brighten the well- kept grounds. There was even someone cleaning the white picket fence. The gardens have benches and nice areas to sit.
There is also a restaurant on the side that had a great menu.
