Wonderful experience at the shelter! I applied to be a foster, but ended up keeping the little guy. You can tell everyone that works at the shelter cares a lot about all the animals. Highly recommend adopting from here :)

Had the most wonderful experience fostering, then adopting our new puppy! She’s healthy and happy…and we are thrilled. The staff was wonderful; so helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend!

We had the absolutely best experience with Morgan County Humane Society. Theresa and the rest of the staff we're compassionate with the animals and very helpful for us humans as well! We adopted a sweet girl in Leera and even with her aggression (because she was so scared) they never treated her like a bad girl and always knew she was wonderful! I would recommend adopting from them as they will make the whole experience easier! We had to foster first as she needed to be spayed and although Leera wasn't happy about it, the staff did everything to treat her well. I couldn't be more happy and thankful for their services!

We recently lost both of our dogs and tried adopting for the first time. The Morgan County Humane Society is full of conscientious animal lovers caring for many cats and dogs to choose from. We adopted after fostering for a few weeks due to some legal technicalities, but it was all good. Patience was required for the application of the laws and benefit of the animals to insure they are well taken care of. I will adopt again! Today was our ‘Gotcha Day’ for our new family member Bama!

My family and I waited months to find the right pup. We just happened to stumble on the cutest Golden Mix one day and we fell in love. We put in an app and we were contacted almost immediately. The whole team here was so gracious and caring during our whole foster to adopt process. They even addressed a medical concern we had before we finalized our adoption. I can not adequately express how much I would recommend MCHS for anyone seriously considering adding a new member to their family.

Precious animals. Amazing friendly staff answered every question we had and didn't seem annoyed with us like some places I have been before.

I applied to adopt a dog but thought it would take a long time to find the perfect one. I was surprised when they called asking if I was willing to do an emergency foster for a dog that was having a hard time after being dropped off by her owners.
I couldn't be happier to have her. It hasn't been a week yet but we are already bonded. She is getting more playful every day. They did not mind me calling and asking questions after we were home and did all they could to give me wheat I needed to take care of her.
These are kind people who really care about what they are doing.

This shelter was the cleanest I have seen in the Indianapolis area. Staff was very helpful. I would recommend this shelter to anyone looking for a pet.

I love this place! I have adopted 2 dogs from here , each of my 2 sons have adopted a dog from here and my daughter has adopted a cat. The staff here is wonderful and you can tell how much they love each of the animals here. Animals are clean, and very well taken care of. Our fur-babies from here are the greatest and I highly recommend getting your next new addition to your family from here. As always Adopt don't shop. If you can't find what you are looking for here there are other shelters you can check out .

Nice folks clean for a pound, got our dog there 6 years ago, when we stopped in had a kitty problem and no adoptions. Pic is Hunter our dog

I'm giving the MCHS 5 stars due to the dedication of the staff and volunteers. Being a smaller town, their funds are limited. However, they still care deeply for the animals under their watch and keep the facility as clean as possible. This would be a great place to donate to.

The staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable about all there animals. I would recommend it to anyone. Great place to get an animal my kids love there new kitten.

i got my sweet baby kitty hodge podge here and she is the quirkiest little girl. 10/10 care for animals.
