Tim's BBQ & Fish

Great place with great food! Two of us split the loaded fries, which were delicious and we had a third serving to bring home. The third person in our group had the catfish dinner which they said was very fresh tasting as well as yummy! Definitely off the beaten path but an excellent experience!

Food is a little pricey, but delicious. Very small place. The owners were super nice. There are a lot of pro-gun signs all over which might weird some people out if you're not used to it, but honestly it really wasn't an issue and just blends into the background. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. Check hours as they are not open every day. Sweet beans were awesome.

This was our first time visiting. We both got the ribeye burger and fries. This was the BEST burger I’ve had in a LONG time. We will be back 100%!

Everything was delicious! We had a Delicious cheeseburger, steak, chicken fried steak, and catfish and it was ALL amazing! And the okra was the best I've ever had!

A local gem! Whether you're picking up a burger to go for lunch or stopping by with your 8 closest friends for dinner, they're always happy to serve you some of the best food in Wise County. Their loaded fries are an experience; bring a LOT of hungry people if you want to make a dent in them.

Mt wife and I was on our way to visit someone and wanted to grab a quick bite and Tim's was on the way. Let me tell you they did not disappoint, the food was packed with flavor first time I ever had BBQ that wasn't homemade that was so flavorful. If your in the area please stop in you won't be disappointed!!!.

Just moved to the area and wanted to try something local that seemed like more of a “hole in the wall” (those are always the best) and I was rite!! THIS PLACE ROCKS!!! The food was OUTSTANDING, the owner was awesome and so personable. Kinda pricey so it wouldn’t be an every week kind of thing but will most definitely be an every month or so that way we can try all the food!!

Dont sleep on those place. Totally worth the easy drive on back country roads. Yes, its out there on it own. Amazing food from great people. Will def go there again.

EDIT 3/30/21: Went back for a 2nd visit and it was just as great as the first (tho a little busier, which is good). BBQ was still fantastic, but I had to try the Ribeye steak...and I was not disappointed!

We happened to see the sign for Tim's one day while we were on a "Sunday drive" and wondered if it really existed out in this rural area. Rest assured, it does exist on a little country road and it is well worth the drive to find this family owned and operated gem. Since we moved in the area 3 yrs ago we have been looking for great BBQ and we finally found it in this neat little dive. Its clean and simple inside...concrete floors with folding tables and chairs. The beauty of that is you are not paying for ornate furniture or fine china. Instead, you get an incredible amount of truly delicious BBQ for a great price. I like that the smokehouse is adjacent to the restaurant so you aren't inundated with smoke inside the restaurant. The folks running it are attentive and friendly and would gladly sit with you and talk the afternoon away with you if they could. My wife had a lunch-size 2 meat plate and I had the same as a dinner-size. Holy smokes it was a lot of food (don't let the pics fool you, those are big plates)...I actually got tired while eating and had to take a break (and still took a bunch of meat home). We had brisket, sausage, ribs, and pulled pork. Its hard to pick a favorite because they were all fantastic. Not too heavy with smoke and cooked perfectly. The sides were good too...nothing fancy, just good standard BBQ sides. However the "Sweet Beans w/ Brisket" were exceptional. Its worth the time and effort to get there. We will definitely be back for sure.

Tim and Christina are the nicest hard working people I have ever met i can garuntee you every bit of your food is made with love! You won't find a better place to eat! I always come back when I need a perfectly cooked steak! And don't forget a scoop of banana pudding before you leave!

The good was very good. We brought our own beer. We had BBQ and chicken fried steak. All excellent! We will be back!

Amazing owners, service, and FOOD! Must try asap. Fish is perfectly cooked, wide variety of sides. Had the loaded French Fries tonight and it’s my new favorite!

Tonight we ordered the prime ribeye with okra and the loaded baked potatoe with pulled pork. We also had hushppies and theoaded fries with the brisket for an appetizer

We moved to Poolville and I've been wanting to find local places. I took my son to Tim's tonight to try it out and I'm so glad I did! It's a small family place Tim and Christina built and it's just like visiting friends even though we never met before. So nice, great food, their hospitality is wonderful, and we will definitely be back. Thank you Tim and Christina for a wonderful end to a long week.

I've seen these folks at highs and lows of their business......busy and not busy.... all times have been wonderful. You'll have a hard time finding something you DON'T like if you like southern cooking. And dang it all if they aren't the nicest folks you could meet. Their steaks are cooked EXACTLY how you ask for. Period. This is the only restaurant I'm not paying 60 bucks for a ribeye that get it right. Every...time... period. I was taken there by a girl from way down south TX who will eat shrimp there and there only, they cook it right. They work and serve in their community and actually serve there community. They love their people and we love them. And if you love yourself, get there loaded fries

Since we have been in the area this place has been the best place to eat, the staff and atmosphere was on point. I had the ribeye , slaw, okra. My husband had the sliced brisket, Cole slaw ALL of it is AWESOME! Thank you for this, it was NEEDED (the prices on steaks are market value.)

When I my son told me this was the best Bar B Q he had ever had I told him that is saying a lot. However after eating there we have to agree that it truly is the best BBQ I have ever had. Tim is an amazing cook and owner. The portion sizes that you get will not only fill you up but you will probably be taking some home with you. No matter where you live this little out the way place is something that will not disappoint.
