Cedar Creek Elementary School

Excellent teachers and support staff. The administrators possess a holistic understanding of education that benefit children much more than typical R-7 leadership. Students are viewed as individuals as opposed to mere testing data.

My daughter and I relocated back to the states from Ireland at the end of March. Kim Loegering was my first contact with the school and she was incredibly friendly and helpful. She was a great resource for information and she was so reassuring. She made the registration process so easy, too. My next contact was with Amelia’s teacher Miss Danner. She emailed us a friendly introduction and welcome note, which was such a pleasant surprise! When we finally arrived in school, we were expected and welcomed again by Kim. The music teacher Mrs. Begley walked us down to Miss Danner’s class, visiting with us the whole way. Miss Danner was waiting and in Amelia went. I am so very grateful for the high quality of teaching, kindness, patience, support and communication Amelia and I both received from Miss Danner. I am so impressed with the whole team of teachers, the counselor, nurse and nurse aid working with 5th graders and their parents. Amelia started everyday on a positive note with the nicest bus driver on bus 60. She always had a smile and a wave and the patience to wait for children moving a little slow in the morning. Amelia always walked off the bus each afternoon with a smile on her face. I do not take her happiness or her overall positive experience navigating 5th grade class dynamics and academics at Cedar Creek for granted. It is a reflection of the leadership and quality of people employed to have such a nice experience from the bus driver to the office staff to the support staff to the teachers. Thanks a million everyone!
