Taqueria El Gallo de Oro

I photographed (@seanevansphoto) some delicious food at Taqueria El Gallo de Oro. I tried the Birra Tacos, and they were very good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Second time going there and food is great!!
We've dined in twice and service was fabulous. Very attentive and quick.
Got the quesabrilla taco dinner & partner got an al pastor burrito. We also got chips and salsa

The chips were okay, needed salt. The salsa was delicious and had a little kick. The tacos were DELICIOUS crunchy cheesy juicy. The consume was great and so was the rice & beans. The burrito was PACKED with meat!!! Super tender and tasty!

Definitely enjoy this place and the food.

This squirrel 🐿 went here before a Allstate show. We had a great dinner at a great 👍😃 price. I would rather visit a true Mexican restaurant than one of the big fake chains.

Great flavors, good portions, quesabirria dinner is super good, call in advance, takes 25- 30 minutes, worth the wait!

Delicious food, fresh and made to order. Yes, the wait is a little long but worth it. Service is also nice.

Quesadillas and Quesabirrias both taste legit and ... they sound the same :) if you want the sauce(yes you want the sauce) with the Quesabirria, be sure to order the dinner! Soooo yummy... now soooo full! See y'all again soon!

Wow.. love thier foods. Made by order tortillas, sope is so yummy. The waiter is nice. I think they are understaff, waiting for food take long but worth the waiting.

I'm embarrassed to say I've ate here 4 times within 2 weeks. It took me a while to find my favorite neighborhood taco spot, (down town des plaines) but this place did not disappoint! I got the steak tacos, generous amount of meat, good flavor. I also tried the pork, also very good. Love love the sopes. Typically for me if a place has good tacos there rice and beans seem to be mediocre, however they were one of my favorite things I ate from here, very flavorful, and delicious. I don't leave reviews, however a girl loves her tacos, and these were delicious, I had to spread the word, to my fellow Mexican food lovers ❤

I had the carne asada burrito. It was really good. The locale is very simple, but clean.

Authentic preparation, great flavor, friendly service, a big step up from fast "food". Don't drive past, stop in!

Either Lunch or dinner, this Taqueria is a must stop for their tacos or burritos. Warm and welcoming staff and service. We always order to go but plenty of room for dining in. Their rice is the best around town!

Delicious! I'm from California & have been searching for good Mexican food since I moved here a year ago. I think I finally found my place. I ordered tacos & they were absolutely amazing. The chicken was moist & seasoned to perfection. They were so good, I forgot to put the salsa on them. This is a good sign, because I usually ask for extra salsa when the meat is dry. I can't wait to try more of their menu & tell friends.

This is a beautiful Mexican restaurant for your best food. They have an excellent service and the management are so awesome and welcoming. The food is so delicious and me and my girl friend had a great time here. Always ask for Ruben, his the best 🍷
