MinuteClinic at CVS

Went into Minute clinic with my nephew who just moved here. we were seen by Maboh Achiri, NP. She was amazing. She explained everything to us, did tests quickly and with great efficiency. She sent us home with suggestions for medicines and instructions to help him recover quickly. Thank you!

Absolutely the worst experience. Scheduled a Rapid PCR test however when I arrived I was told by the NP Gretchen Rangel that they only offer a rapid antigen test. I needed a PCR test for travel. Went home, I got on my computer and scheduled a PCR test appointment at another minute clinic. Tried calling that clinic to confirm that they offer a PCR test but there is no phone number for the clinic just an automated system with no one to talk to. Drove back to this clinic to ask if they could confirm with the other clinic that they offer a PCR. This is when Gretchen tells me she asked and they do offer the PCR. Ok great I think only wasted an hour no big deal, mistakes happen. I got my results and went home when I realized my name is misspelled, so I went back to get this fixed because for traveling the names have to match exactly. I was told I entered my name wrong when I scheduled my appointment, I show Gretchen my appointment with my name correct and that is when they start yelling at me and kicked me out of the clinic. So, they make me waste three hours of my time, give me wrong information, do the paperwork wrong and yell at me.

I live overseas and do not have medical insurance, making the price point a real concern for me. Anyway, I went in to see Kelly Christino at the minute clinic as I had been feeling under the weather. She mentioned a strep throat test would be an additional $35 after the consultancy fee - which after consideration I decided to accept. The test quickly came back negative, but Kelly kindly informed me she would send the tests away to the lab and let me know if they found anything else (even though the instant test was 95% accurate). Great, I thought. Two weeks later I received a $70 bill at my parents residence for the lab work!?! Essentially Kelly sent the test to the lab knowing I would be charged AND without informing me. This 10 minute visit to the minute clinic has now cost $200+. Shameful money grab, and cheaper to go to a real doctor.

This is no minute clinic! If takes longer to get an appointment than the Dr office! Waste of time & money!

Waited 2 hours to be seen, finally had to leave because I had another commitment. What a joke. "minute" clinic.
