Village Grill

We recently had the pleasure of being in tehachapi for an event we stumbled across the village grill from our own research and then from where we were staying suggested it. I have to say the food was great and the service even exceeded our expectations the best description I can get besides great food and service I felt like we were kind of a little bit in a Hallmark movie we enjoyed tehachapi and we enjoyed The village grill we highly recommend it.

We've stopped here usually for breakfast. I had the Philly sandwich, which was pretty good. My other half had a burger and fries, which he said was also good. The server was friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a good experience.

Very friendly staff, food is outstanding and you get more for your money's worth. This is the place to get a home style meal with a staff that treats you like family. I had the Chicken fried steak that was juicy on the inside and breaded to perfection on the outside. Biscuits and gravy was delicious and plentiful. You won't go hungry here.

I have eaten here at least 25 times during the last two decades and never been disappointed. The diner is clean, comfortable, and properly air-conditioned. The menu lists a classic variety of Americana. The service staff are mostly quite pleasant and they're all business when the place is hopping. The bathrooms are spotless and roomy. There is covered patio service when weather permits.

Another home run! The staff is so nice and friendly! Such a great place to stop! Wow. The food was amazing also! Fish and chips were one of the best+ they even let me substitute biscuits and gravy for my toast. Yea yea..I know it sounds gross.. but I was craving it! Check them out if you are in the area!

Great service and got my favorite salisbury steak with mashed potato with lots of gravy and yummy garlic bread.Barley soup taste good. Salisbury steak not even on the menu, they have to ask the cook happy they can cook for me.

Delicious dinner. Polite service. They make their own cornbread which was delicious with butter and honey. They make their own croutons which combined well with fresh lettuce in their Caesar salad. Good steak with plenty of mushrooms. I would have enjoyed more seasoning like a pat of herb butter. The coffee was passable, not great. The service was very good, especially compared with restaurant chains.

Had lunch today, ordered avacado mushroom cheese burger. I was impressed with fresh mushrooms and a ripe avocado. Waitress was very nice. Restaurant was very clean including restroom.
Been by a few more times, had corn beef hash and eggs and their special omelet, they were very good.

Warm friendly family atmosphere they treat you like family. You'll never have an empty cup. No matter what you drink. So much food, we share a meal. I can never finish it.

Very nice family Restaurant. Prices reasonable. Food is good. Highly Recommend. Favorite hangout for the old folks in town. Enjoy !!

Nice place to eat people are very nice and friendly. I really enjoy the fish and chips. In my opinion it is way better than the joke of a steak house in Tehachapi and $10 cheaper and comes with coleslaw and garlic bread.

We were just passing through. The people were extremely friendly, the place was clean and very well maintained. The variety of food was amazing with something for everyone especially the homemade soups! The portions were very generous. We highly recommend for a casual and comfortable cafe.

Highly recommend this place. Seemed a bit expensive but everything is too expensive these days. Large portions and the service and speed of service are spot on!

I love eating at Village Grill. The food is Delicious and the service is always friendly.

Great stop if you're passing through Tahechapi. Been here for breakfast and lunch several times.
