Mama J's on Main Pizza & More

I wanted to take my parents out for a nice dinner and have wanted to try Mama J's since it opened... The road led us to this adorably decorated little joint right across from the Sugar Factory in Nyssa. We were greeted by a very sweet young waitress and although it wasn't busy inside, I could immediately tell they had a hopping to-go order night. The young waitress brought us our menus and drinks and right away I commented on how impressive the large menu was. It took my parents and I quite a while to decide what we wanted, but I decided to go with a build your own pizza while my folks decided on fish & chips and finger steaks.
Although we waited for quite some time for our food, it was no problem because we just sat and visited and admired the constant flow of either folks picking up their food or the delivery driver coming back and forth. When we finally got our food, it was delivered by the cook himself with apologies for the delay. We let him know that it wasn't an issue and we understood how busy they were and complimented them on their vast menu.
The food presented well and was very good! I purposely got a bigger pizza than I could eat myself because I always love leftovers! My mom and dad, who don't get out much unless I take them out, wanted to come back and try different items on the menu and I agreed! We will be back!

Food was very good at a more then fair price. Nothing tasted frozen or cheap quality. Building itself is a little run down and some of the boothes are in disrepair but dont let that deter you. I had burger and asked for it very well done. They delivered happily. My husband had their version of a supreme pizza. The crust was soft and fluffy with a crisp crunchy bottom. They are definitely not stingy with the toppings unlike some chain restraunts. And they have good ranch which is inportant in a pizza place lol. Its a bit of a drive but sort of a hidden gem.

AMAZING is all I can say. My family and I have eaten here two times. The first time was very tasty but took awhile for food to come out, but not a problem because they were just getting their bearings as they had just opened. We went this last weekend again. Service was phenomenal (can’t remember the gentleman’s name), but he was helpful, knowledgeable, and very on top of everything. My husband is so happy they brought Strombolis back!! They are authentic rolled Strombolis, not folded over like a calzone and erroneously called a Stromboli. Top notch super tasty. Their pizza is always delicious. I got the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. The half portion is huge and it was seriously so stinking good. My husband, who doesn’t like any cheesesteak sandwiches, even loved it. I got mushroom and onions on it and they were cooked perfectly. The sandwich rolls come from Philadelphia so you know it’s authentic and the cheese whiz was delectable!! So happy this restaurant has come to Nyssa. Although I live in Fruitland, we will still be making the drive. 10/10 recommend. We can’t wait to try more items! I couldn’t get a picture of my sandwich because I scarfed it down.

Tonight was our first meal at Mama J’s. We had a BLT and a cheesesteak. Both were excellent. The owner took time to great us and asked about how we were being treated. The waitress was swamped but very attentive. We will definitely be back.

Delicious, real ribeye cheesesteaks. Never disappoints and the portions are generous. Worth the stop if you’re anywhere near the Idaho-Oregon border or heading up north on 95. Not far off the highway and it’s outstanding.

We have eaten here multiple times and it never dissapoints. The food is fantastic. Even with a large menu, every item we have had is excellent, which is impressive. The owner is extremely personable, and makes a point to visit with every customer before you leave. He is truly passionate about the restaurant, and it shows quickly.

It's a small town pizza place, and I have been there a couple times this year. They make an effort to serve the best pizza and assorted yummy items, and both my meals were delicious! The pizza was some of the tastiest, light crispy crust, I was truly happy with it, excellent choice I had made, lol. Go try them out for yourself and I know you will agree, best wishes all Y'all!

The food was so good! The pasta was cooked perfect . I had never had food from there before. I was pleasantly surprised and I will tell everyone, what great food we had.

Everything here is delicious! The chicken wings are enormous, and the homemade potato chips are sooooo good! Pizza's good, but I usually opt for something else, since you can get pizza almost anywhere, but where will you get such delicious sandwiches and wings?

Very delicious food!!! Had one on the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich. Best I’ve ever tasted!! Great prices too. Can’t wait to go back and try breakfast ❤

Everything about this place was amazing! The food was delicious, fresh, and was surprisingly quick! The service was outstanding! The atmosphere was incredible! Just an all out great discovery and a new family favorite! Thank you Mama J's and can't wait for the next time!

Loved the feel of the place. Went outside of normal meal hours and it was quiet. Nice workers. Good food. Fries could have been better.

Last Saturday we had dinner here with some friends. I had heard they have been very busy lately so I called ahead and reserved a table. The gentleman who took my call asked if we would like to order an appetizer to have ready for us on our arrival, which I thought was a brilliant idea but as we had never been before we held off on this offer. It has an older diner feel to it and it looks like they get a lot of take out or delivery calls which made me a little skeptical about dining in but turns out I was worried for nothing. The service and food were great. Our party of four felt comfortable and well taken care of. So glad we decided to take the little drive over to Nyssa to try Mama J's out. We will definitely be back!

Best burgers ever. I wish we would have this place in CA

This place is awesome. The food is consistently good, and our family cannot get enough! We come here once or twice a week. The cheesesteaks and pizza are our go tos!

The food was very good. Little spendy. Pay $10 for a piece of cake. Next time we go we'll do takeout

First time trying this resting. Great service, awesome selection on the menu best of all delicious food. Looking forward to trying more delicious meals. Will be back soon. So great that there is a good restaurant in Nyssa. Thanks so much

This is a wonderful place to eat! We have had lunch a few times and it was always yummy! But tonight, valentine's day, they knocked it out of the park!! The food was incredible! Monte cristo (a real one, deep fried!) And chicken marsala! Both done to perfection! I should have taken pictures, but we were hungry 😂 the kettle chips yum yum!! This is a great addition to our community!!❤❤

Oh my God I love this place and I think you would to! What food is amazing the service is awesome The waitresses are amazing people for funny and down-to-earth and I love the atmosphere.

Overall great experience and great food. They were busy which was good to see and well worth the small amount of time we waited for our food. I had the pastrami, my favorite, was not disappointed at all. My leftovers didn't make it home I finished them in the car.
