VIV Wine Bistro

Fantastic wine and food! The service here was phenomenal and the Godfather charcuterie board is a must! The included bread was some of the best we have had and paired very well with their goat cheese and a touch of honey. Variety of wines are available at fair prices and pours are very generous. Do keep in mind that there was only 1 person taking orders and serving the food, so the wait can be slightly above average. Still, this wine bar was fantastic and we highly recommend visiting if you're in Key West!

Really, really enjoyed Viv. I’m from mostly San Francisco and Manhattan, where there are several very nice French wine bars, but I live in Miami now and this is the first really nice one I’ve found in South Florida.

Loved the wine selection, the French sausage/tomato/potato dish, the mixed green salad was very inventive and I added a tasty charcuterie of Brie and Chorizo.

So much else to try. Highly recommend it.

UPDATE Aug2022: have been back half dozen more times. Still terrific. Menu has expanded to include full entrees, also delicious. Charcuterie/cheese plate is fantastic (girlfriend likes them better than even in NYC, where she lives). Julie behind bar is sooo nice and knowledgeable. Really one of my fav places in all of Florida.

UPDATE May 2023: one of the best restaurants in all of Florida. Not even kidding.

Another phenomenal charcuterie board by Julie. Other regular patrons told us the Meat Trio was delicious.

Stunning wine bar with amazing happy hour deals and delicious appetizer options.

Our experience here was incredible. We arrived for happy hour, let Julie guide us through some French wines and then explored other regions pairing with charcuterie and pork belly. Julie even fired up the billig for a red velvet dessert crepe for us that was to die for!

Service and selection is stellar! Breakfast next door at La Crêperie that morning and we returned to enjoy 5hrs at VIV ending with a bottle on the porch watching sunset. Amazing day of food and wine!

What a beautiful hidden gem this place is, away from the trash on West Duval. Julie was an absolute joy and her service, personally and charm unrivalled. The food is beautiful and the wines exceptional. 11 out of 10!!!

We love VIV! Have been going there for a couple years now for quality wines and charcuterie boards. Pop in and relax - they have indoor and outdoor seating. The portions are really big. Be sure to add the special high quality black-pig-like fresh sliced prosciutto that is freshly sliced off the bone, visible on top of the bar. It melts in your mouth and is worth every penny! The staff is so kind and friendly and the energy on Petronia Street is amazing!

A slice of France in Key West! We stumbled on this while walking around and took a chance. The wine (and beer) selection is fantatsic and such good appetizers to go with it. The owner is from France and the quality of the wine and food reflects that. We had the cheese board and it was AMAZINGLY good. Wine paired perfectly. The ambiance is cozy and intimate inside. And pet-friendly too.

The best restaurant experience I have had in many years. Great charcuterie selection at a great price.

I've been to Key West many times, and somehow missed out on Viv, but I'll be a regular during future visits. Excellent wine selection, and good food with particular awesome charcuterie boards.
It's tiny, so reservations are highly recommended.

This place is a true gem! The service was incredible—Julia made phenomenal recommendations. She even went above and beyond to bring us a wine made with grapes with our last name (she noticed it from the reservation!). The cheese board she put together based on our wine choice was spot-on, it was a magical food moment. I can't recommend Viv Wine Bistro enough.

My husband (eats non-veg) and I (vegetarian) thoroughly enjoyed our true French dinner experience at VIV. We loved everything about it. The lovely lady who served us gave us a hug on our way out! Definitely will return!

Amazing wine selection, great cheese and pate. Feels like stepping back into Montmartre in Paris. A slice of Europe hidden away in a quiet corner of Key West. They have ciders and beers as well and a selection of natural and biodynamic wines.

Great place. Was a little nervous at first not being able to pick my specific wine brand or varietal, but Julie gave us some great recommendations and nailed it! Had the Godfather charcuterie board and it was amazing. Great place to drink some good wine and have good food in a nice atmosphere. Highly recommend!

This place is awesome I learned more in 1 hr about wine than I did my whole life the prices are amazing and it’s family owned ! They take their time with each customer to make sure they are happy and their taste buds satisfied!

Wow! Sit down at the bar, tell the owner/manager what you like he'll let you try something and then pour you a glass of something you like. Don't bother to ask prices. There is a small menu. We had the bone marrow and beet soup and were pleased with both. The duck plate was recommended. We swooned! We ended with a Madeira that was delightful. Tab was more than reasonable as we were served high end quality wines and French Bistro food and had a lovely time swapping stories. We were even able to take the marrow bone home to our pup as an apology for not bringing her along. Deserving of more stars than five.

Though we’ve been to Viv Wine Bistro many times before, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the Bistro now serves dinner. I highly recommend trying it for dinner. I had filet mignon, and my wife had another beautiful plate. The desserts were tremendous and the Bordeaux is always outstanding. Give it a try.

The bartender/waitress Julia was amazing! You can’t beat the happy hour wine prices and I highly recommend you let your server create your cheese and charcuterie board!!! We will definitely be back!
