Sylvester's Burgers

For the 2 decades Ive been coming to Pismo Beach on vacations I have no clue how I had never heard of this place. Some of the best burgers, fries and shakes Ive had. A lot of burger places don’t nail the fries and shakes this spot does it all. This will definitely be a spot we will come back to. 5/5.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sylvester's Burgers, and I can confidently say that they serve the best burger in the entire state of California. If you're a true burger aficionado, this place needs to be at the top of your list.

Having served in the military, I have traveled around the world and tasted burgers from countless places. I can say without hesitation that Sylvester's Burgers is the best place to get a burger, hands down. Their culinary excellence is unmatched, and the dedication they put into each burger is evident in every bite.

One of the things I appreciate most about Sylvester's Burgers is their low-key approach. They don’t need flashy advertisements because their reputation speaks for itself. In fact, I’m glad they don’t advertise. If they did, they would put every major chain to shame. In-N-Out? It doesn’t stand a chance against the culinary excellence found at Sylvester's.

Sylvester's Burgers is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it gets. If you haven’t experienced the magic of their burgers yet, do yourself a favor and head over there. Just be prepared to be blown away. This is burger perfection at its finest.

Solid side-of-the-road shack for burgers and fries. A good alternative away from the crowds in Pismo. As others have mentioned, prices are a bit high, but not out of line with general inflation.

The onion rings are killer and if you like garlic, the garlic fries ate just the thing.

Staff was super pleasant and helpful.

Food was amazing as I had remembered from what I remembered from my first visit from over 10 yrs ago. Service was great. But like everything with time the place was in need of some TLC. THANKS FOR MAKING SUCH AMAZING FOOD. LOVE THE GARLIC FRIES AND THE CALIFORNIA BURGER!

i am beyond speechless about how amazing the burgers are here. my fiancé and i are both military and have both traveled to a good amount of places and had food from a good amount of places and none in which top this burger spot. we currently live in Orange County area and will be willing to make the 3 hour drive back here. I have a severe mushroom allergy and noticed they have a lot of mushroom items on their menu and they did absolutely amazing at accommodating to my needs and ensuring i was also able to enjoy the food with no stress of cross contamination. the customer service is amazing, the food is amazing, and overall atmosphere is amazing. i’m glad this place is a hidden gem because they would 100% out any other burger company out of business. 1000/10 recommend!!!

We were a little nervous at first as from the outside we didn't know what to expect. But yum yum everything was delicious. The basket of onion rings were awesome. The blue cheese burger delicious. The bread was toasted on both sides adding an extra crunch. Beware though... must eat with napkins as the sauce is a plenty. We ended the meal with fresh milkshakes but no pictures of those as they went tooooo fast. Stag was friendly and nice. Place was super clean!

This place was awesome! Their fries are so good. Sylvester's Sauce is bomb. The mushroom and onions fries were so good. The service was awesome. We went with a huge group, and they took such good care of us. I ordered the Hippie Burger which was pretty good. I think next time I'd get it without the vegan cream cheese and with Sylvester's Sauce on it.

This is a delicious little burger joint. There is a very laid back atmosphere. There was plenty of outdoor seating. Indoors the walls are covered in pictures of people with their free birthday burgers or people attempting the 5lb burger challenge. These burgers were fantastic and even though the garlic fries were not what I was expecting, I loved them. Burgers and sides are ordered sperately. They have a few alcoholic beverages to choose from if that's your thing.

Very nice old style hamburger restaurant. Great location. Family friendly, good prices. The food was simple but it was fresh made and delicious as we expected. Great staff, very clean and following Covid19 regulations. We were lucky to be able to eat inside this time. We love all the old photographs from former customers. I will totally recommended this place for family with kids.

I love it here! Sooooo good. Best burgers, wow. Giant amazing shakes. Salads are great because you can have a burger salad or other salad options. Perfect location and great burger stand atmosphere.

Excellent comfort food. As you can see I had the hand battered onion rings and mushrooms & they were both yummy. The onion rings were cooked just how I like them a little dark and crispy. I added a draft beer, space dust to complete my enjoyment. Very friendly and extra helpful staff. They went out of their way to accommodate our needs.

food was beyond amazing. and that was take out. i could imagine dining in. definately going to dine in next time and we cant wait. garlic fries and philly cheese were great along with the desperado burger. kids had a delicious corn dog and grilled cheese. not to mention this was about 20 mins before closing time. fantastic job at sylvesters. keep up the great work!!!

Absolutely perfect burger experience got a spicy one a Savory one two hot dogs and a kid's Burger that along with two milkshakes and a large fry cost us $58

Truly excellent burgers - fresh and delicious! When was the last time you had a 1/2 lb burger served medium rare and no grease? Fun atmosphere - literally wall papered with photos of people enjoying their “free birthday burger”.

Thoroughly good burgers. The beef is what wins here. It's very tasty. Service was very pleasant. It's cool to see all the bday pictures of patrons on the walls. We had the pancho loco and California burgers. 1/2 pound pancho was huge. Even the 1/3 lbs california burger was huge. They have a 5 pound burger challenge which after eating a 1/2 pound and going into a coma I couldny imagine someone grubbing down 5lbs . But it was delicious!

I love this place. The food and staff are great. They even gave me a discount for paying with cash. I really appreciated that. Thank you Sylvester’s Burger.

Nice friendly casual atmosphere. Excellent big, hot, and juicy burgers! Cooked perfectly medium with a slight pink center. Fries also great! Friendly and courteous service. I will return to try other menu items.

I like the hippie burger (with jalapeños). The ingredients are fresh and the prices are reasonable. They also have no problem substituting things. Only negative thing I’ve observed is that their onion rigs are heavily batteries. Doesn’t affect my vote because I hate onion rings but just an FYI

Took the family while visiting Oceano. GREAT place!!! Got a free birthday burger, root beer float. Every loved it. I will go back when in town.
