Definitely a great restaurant. When I went in for dinner, they were a little bit busy but I still got seated right away.
The menu is extensive and it is typical American diner food across breakfast, lunch and dinner.
I ordered the liver and onions and it came with three sides. It was a huge portion of food but it was high quality. The liver was cooked perfectly and was very flavorful with the sauteed onions. The baked potato with cooked perfectly, the mashed potatoes with gravy were great and the chicken noodle soup was flavorful and really good as well. And everything is at a great price.

Hidden gem- amazing food, great customer service, clean atmosphere. A friend recommended this local favorite for their large, well seasoned steaks and generous portions. She nailed it on the head. We shared their fried shrimp and split Western BBQ burger and French fries. All cooked perfectly, served fresh and hot off the grill. The service was friendly, each staff member greeted us with a smile and never once let our beverages go dry. Bring your family, there is plenty of room in their clean dining hall. There is a great ambiance and plenty of cool a/c to beat the 117 degree temps. Well done Mercer’s- quality since 1987!

Tucked away in a strip mall in Sun City, this restaurant has been around since 1987 but I had no idea. Looking for a good breakfast for birthday meal, we decided to try it since we both wanted omlettes and/or pancakes.
I had the Denver omlette with hashbrowns and toast. My husband had the all meat omlette with hashbrowns and pancakes.
Both were very good and the omlettes were huge! Hashbrowns cooked perfectly. I had to help my husband finish the pancakes as they were large and fluffy. Loved the maple syrup and butter in separate little containers .
Service was excellent and friendly.
We will definitely return and anxious to try their lunches and dinners.

Mercer's lived up to all the hype! I run a FB group here in Sun City, called Sun City Az ChitChat. And when people ask about restaurants, everybody raves about Mercers! So I decided to hold one of our monthly social events there. I had never been for a meal myself. But this little hole in the wall restaurant lived up to the billing! They have great homemade food w American and awesome seafood menu! It is all individually cooked just like you would expect at home. The Wait Staff are tremendously friendly and work their collective butts off! We had nearly 60 people in attendance and everybody absolutely raved about how good this restaurant handled everything! We will BE BACK! This is 5-Star Friends! Thanks! #StayAmazing

OMG! AMAZING! From the super friendly atmosphere! To the FAST service! An the INCREDIBLE FOOD! This place KILLS IT! What a hidden gem! I can't believe I've never been here before! It's a MUST TRY! Everything was so freakin DELICIOUS! An prices! Holy cow! A steal! The bloody Mary with bacon topped it all off! This is my NEW go to! Get ready for me being a regular! GO GO GO! TRY THIS PLACE! ( but don't make it tooooo busy so I get a table lol)

Corina is simply amazing. All the staff are absolutely the best. We live far but the drive is worth it. The staff is always friendly and works very hard. They are very consistent. The food is always great. They all deserve a raise.

My family and I chose Mercers for our monthly family brunch. My step moms mother used to go there frequently with her husband prior to him getting sick and passing. She spoke so highly of it. From the minute we entered they greeted us with a smile. There were 7 of us and we had to wait for a table which of course was fine with us. They updated us frequently. I even heard a lady come in to let the staff know why a daily patron wasn't there and he was sick in the ICU 🥺. The lady at the counter knew exactly who she was speaking about.

We got seated, and immediately were asked about drinks. Then Christopher came over. He makes you feel so invited and like "family" as do the other girls. Constant check ins, drink refills and they never once made you feel like you were annoying them with anything. Food was amazing. I had the carnivore bowl myself and it was perfect. Also had a side of sweet potato fries that were cooked to perfection. My aunt who is very particular loved her food as did the rest of the table. I am moving close to this restaurant and I am sure I will frequent it often. Thank you all for such a wonderful experience as I know dealing with humans daily can take a toll on you. You handle it with grace and a smile.

We love going to Mercer's! Everyone is friendly and the food is so good! Prices are very reasonable for my husband and us, and I love the many choices of meals, and the German chocolate cake is to die for!

Excellent everything!! The food was fantastic, and the service was even better. Had both Key Lime,and Peanut Butter pie as well. Will definitely be back.

This was my second visit. The first one was outstanding in every way. This visit wasn't as good as the first. The green chili bowl was just not as tasty After waiting for more than a few minutes we had to had to ask for coffee. The servers are always nice and were very attentive afterward.

Excellent tasting meals and you’ll need a take home box with the amount of food they serve you. You’ll make it your breakfast or lunch go to.

I love this place because of the comfort food experience. Plus they make a very good drink without the bar prices.

You get fabulous familiar comfort food here!
Service is fast and friendly.
Also, It's very clean! I say, "If the dining area is clean, you know your food prep area is too!"
The music was a little on the loud side. I liked what was playing, my generation classic rock 😉

Have been here several times and have never had anything that I didn't like. Everything is great! From the friendly staff to the great food. And they don't skimp on their portions. Haven't had their lunch yet but will soon. I see other folks having lunch while we have a late breakfast and the food that comes out of their kitchen looks awesome!

Liver and onions, exactly what I wanted. With three sides for breakfast (16.99). We also got the #3 banana nut pancakes that were so fluffy. The best pancakes we've had in the valley. Hash browns were 5 bucks on the sude, and we could have done without. Service was great. Free coffee refills.

I recently visited this wonderful restaurant based on reviews I saw on Google. Am I ever glad I tried it. A pal of mine went for dinner on this visit. We both ordered their liver and onions…which came with a choice of three sides, as all entree’s do.
Liver was perfectly prepared and the large selection of sides were awesome. Then, we each ordered a slice of their homemade pies…he ordered Apple and I tried the cherry. Both were excellent. Service was very good too. Nothing fancy but if you enjoy freshly made home style cooking it’s worth a visit.

This place was a crackup. We walked inside and we were definitely the youngest people in the place besides the staff. It was sort of like standard American comfort food. Think Denny's but higher quality. There were also several menu item that would only appeal the age group of the other patrons in the restaurant. I got a Texas Burger. It was this weird, long looking thing that looked more like a sub sandwich than a burger. It tasted pretty good! For a small upcharge, I got a loaded baked potato on the side. That's a great side! It really filled me up. I wasn't sure on the desserts but our server told us that they make them fresh in house. Can't turn that down. I definitely would have ordered Key Lime Pie but they ran out. I ordered a slice of German Chocolate Cake to share with my wife. When it came out, our server brought us 2 plates with a decent sized slice of cake in both. I thought there had been a misunderstanding on what we ordered but no. She said she overheard that we were going to share so she cut it in half and put it on two plates. That means that this slice of cake was originally HUGE! Pretty rich too. I'm glad we split it. We'd do this again.

Amazing breakfast! This little diner might not look like much, but don’t let that keep you from coming in and enjoying some delicious food! Food was full of flavor and large portions for a reasonable price. The service is alway great and staff is super friendly. Our eggs were cooked perfect and the Cowboy bacon was outstanding! They also have delicious all you can eat fish fry on Tuesday and Friday.

Amazing place for not just anyone to grab a bite but they treat the disabled with respect and wonderful service! I also almost always have my service animal with me and they greet him every time and never once denied or questioned having or allowing him in. This does not always happen in the places we have tried to go. Love this place!
