Pleasantly surprised that a busy tourist cafe would be super friendly, fairly priced and quite delicious ice cream treats!

A nice corner cafe for lunch with large windows to look into the beach walk. It's air conditioned too.

There are delicious deli sandwiches, soft drinks, coffee and ice cream to enjoy. Or you could browse around the gifts they have to offer.

The staff is really friendly and the service is quick.

I just died with some friends here and had a drink. The service is very nice. Nice place to go and Avila you can also get ice cream here and sit at the tables. Small gift shop and Candy Shop

So we thoroughly enjoyed this shop's sweet treats and beach themed signs and gift items!! The manager is a laid-back man who we found honest to interact with; it was refreshing and humorous. Sitting with ice cream in their outdoor table and chairs was a great ending to the day for our kid and us. Hubby and 9-y.o. son got a kick out of the extreme chocolate flavor Motor Oil!

As the saying goes, appreciate the little things. Our family drove 2 1/2 hours to bring my mother-in-law to the beach since she flew from an inland state. She uses a walker and enjoys the beach air and vibe so much regardless of her limited mobility. I'm currently going through an extremely tough time. Thus, a peaceful day at the beach was much needed for us all--and we found that at Avila Beach, including and especially spending time at this shop!

More people need to take a daily humble pill, become emotionally intelligent, and/or perhaps learn to be the sunshine in someone elses day rather than expect to always be on the recieving end, as you never do know what battles other people are fighting.

Everyone's a super critic aren't they--so quick to condemn a place over a single coffee, meal, or just a glance. Can't humans just live amongst humans anymore!? Maybe the glance had nothing to do with you. Maybe the latte or meal wasn't what you were expecting. Everything has to be perfection standard, apparently. This entitled world is saddening.

On a long journey north to Paso Robles, a stretch of the legs, some fresh ocean air and a delicious coffee and ice cream refreshment is just the ticket. Hula Hut has a great selection of ice cream flavors and is perfectly located right on Front Street to take your treats and go sit and enjoy.

So I got a hat from here. I've been searching and searching for the right one and low and behold it was here. Service was great always asking if we needed help. Love my hat!!

Very friendly staff and the coffee is the best we’ve had in Avila. The roast they use is something else. Check out their fresh baked cookies, muffins, and bars. Also they’ve got great decor in there sectioned by styles and it’s all set up in a very aesthetically pleasing look. Very happy we stopped by after passing this shop the last 6-7 times we’ve been in town cause we’ll continue coming here for treats!

What a fantastic place! Visiting from Coeur d’Alene Idaho! The lady that rang us up was so nice and had the biggest smile! She needs a $100 an hour raise. (Just do it).

The pineapple express smoothie was the best. Great selection of treats.

Wandered in while walking the Avila strand. Warning, you’ll fall in love with this beautiful little shop! Amazing friendly staff, ice cream, coffee, pastries all simply wonderful. Unique trinkets to remember your Avila stay. Ended up buying two shirts and some unique note cards in addition to our ice cream and coffee! Became our go-place during our whole visit to Avila.

We love love love Hula Hut. They carry a good variety of ice cream, coffee drinks, smoothies, fudge, and of course gifts. We always stop there!

Cute store with ice cream, baked goods and drinks. Good selection of apparel as well and better prices than some in the area.

We stopped in for ice cream. Wonderful homemade yummy flavors! Huge cookies, muffins, chocolates, coffee. We bought some beach home decor and gifts. Fun store with good food items!

The food and shop here are both great. I was surprised to see such a great selection of shirts, decorations, and other items mixed in with an ice cream shop and restaurant. The food was very good. The apricot/pineapple coffee cake, chicken wrap, and ice cream were all delicious. They can get slammed and food will take a while, but they work very hard and you shouldn't be in such a rush in such a beautiful location anyway. Relax, buy a shirt, and enjoy the view while you wait for some delicious grub.
