The Cottages at Sea Island

This is my second review of our visit to Sea Island, GA. Last July we spent three beautiful days at the Lodge and played their three courses. This time, however, for my wife’s birthday, we decided to stay at one of the Lodge cottages that surrounds the putting/chipping green.

We drove from Florida in the morning and played our first round of golf after lunch on the Plantation course. The condition was excellent and our round was very enjoyable. Afterwards, we registered at the Lodge and a bellhop drove us to our cottage.

As soon as we walked in, we were amazed…from a fireplace in the living room, gorgeous decor, to a master bedroom walk-in shower (the size of a small bedroom with multiple shower heads)! Next to the built in frig was a chilled bottle of champagne and a basket of goodies…it doesn’t get better than that! Wait - it does - hot cookies every night! We felt like royalty. Our cottage was absolutely stunning and luxurious - first class all the way!

The following two days we played both the Seaside and Retreat courses. Again, both courses were perfect, from the fairways to the rough. And even the white sand in the traps was inviting. Unfortunately, I did take that invitation up several time on both courses!

In summary, the Cottages was more than just an upgrade in accommodations. It provided a magical experience.
