Flo's Hot Dogs

Steamed dogs Flo's way. The special relish was delicious and the taste lingered for a while. It's still just a steamed dog nothing crazy, I usually prefer a grilled dog. But for the nostalgia and Flo's being a Maine institution it's a must stop!

We wanted to try Flo's Steamed Hot Dogs while in Maine and it did not disappoint! Flo's relish was the perfect topping for the snappy hot dog.

Flo's Loaded Dog was incredible—the best hot dog I've ever had! My only regret is that I ordered just one when I should have gotten five! It's absolutely worth stopping here for a quick lunch. Just a heads-up: it's cash only, so be sure to bring some with you.

I’m usually not a fan of steamed dogs but these were phenomenal. Definitely get the relish and onions. Just a quick little stop for a delicious snack. Biggest downside the hours open are very limited.

We’ve driven by this hot dog stand many times, but have missed the open hours each time (only open 11am -3pm). We finally made it during open hours and it was WELL worth the stop!! We added raw onions to the Flo’s House Dog and it was probably the best hot dog I’ve ever had. I’m not a fan of sweet relish, but this relish was unlike anything I have ever tasted. Definitely recommend but be warned, there is nowhere to eat your dogs so be prepared for a car snack!

Its quite a popular place, right by the road, long line. It was a fun stop, the hotdog is good. Its a cash only.

Unique hot dog stand. Very nostalgic. Hot dogs. Chips and soda. No fries or burgers. With these hot dogs who needs fries or burgers? Be sure to have your dog with Flo's relish. So good we bought a jar to take home

Love this place! My grandparents use to bring me when I was a kid and now I bring my kids here. The hot dogs are great and I love Flo's relish :)

If I could tag Portillo’s I would tell them to watch out! This was one of the best dogs I’ve had with a perfectly steamed bun and then with Mayo and that homemade relish. You gotta stop and try one even if you have stuffed yourself with all this awesome seafood around here. I might go back again tomorrow lol.

I have been a customer for over 50 years. The original proprietor, Flo, handed the reins to her daughter in law. That was her greatest business decision! Thanks to Gail this business has thrived and become part of the lore of Cape Neddick. Order the house special - steamed bun and dog, mayo, secret relish, and a touch of celery powder. Personally, I pair them with chocolate milk.

My favorite spot in southern Maine. The best! Lots of folks gets this place wrong. It’s not about the hotdog it’s about the homemade relish that they have been making for 63 years. This is why flos is so popular. 35 min wait for a hotdog or 35 min Wait for a FLOS DOG! If you’re stopping here, get the house special or the loaded house special Otherwise you’ve missed the entire experience in the reason they’ve been in business for as long as I have.. 63 years….

Order the house special and live a little! If you’re complaining because the line is long or because your “plain hot dog” isn’t worth the trip - I think maybe it’s best you stick with eating bland 7/11 hot dogs in your moms basement off Doordash…

Great hot dogs. They are steamed. Hot dogs and bun. Price $2.75 per hot dog. If you are new, please read the sign in how they obtain the order. Give them the number of hot dogs first, then they go around around for toppings. Cash only place. Got the house special with their homemade relish (made with molasses), mayo, and celery salt.

Flo's is a famous hot dog stand. They make their own special relish to adorn their snappy natural casing Frank's. I am not big on hot dogs but my mom is so I had to take her there. I think if she wouldn't have met my dad, Oscar Mayer would have been her dream man! They are open from 11-3 6 days a week and there is immediately a line that forms as soon as they open. They have very specific rules when ordering in order to make the line move smoothly. First the number of dogs followed by the house special, loaded, or you can list your individual preference after that. The house special is Mayo, Flo's sauce and celery salt. We had the loaded which consists of Flo's sauce, onions, mustard and celery salt. The hot dogs are delicious and it is an experience to be had. I definitely can see why they are popular.

well, silly to review “atmosphere” since there is none, but eating in the car is a small price to pay in exchange for the experience of a Flo Dog. Life changing. One of my favorite and yummiest traditions when staying in Ogunquit.

Best hot dogs ever. Even the famous places in areas like NY & RI don’t even hold a candle to Flo’s. I could legitimately eat like 5 of their house special dogs.

Great place, parking can be a challenge, but the reward is well worth it. If you like hot dogs, give this place a chance. It's cash only, so keep that in mind. Also, don't forget to grab a jar of that amazing relish.
