Blue Highway Diner

We passed this place for the better part of a year and just didn't make it in time for their hours. I decided to make a trip specially to try them out. We were not disappointed! The owner and our waitress were genuinely nice people. Not the kind of nice that you know isn't genuine, the kind that makes you feel like a regular even though it's your first visit! It's a small place that left a big mark for me! I will definitely be back to try lunch, as this visit was specifically to try breakfast. We had everything from pancakes, to a panwich (pancake breakfast sandwich) to a Dixie bowl! (Fried potatoes, sausage gravy topped with a beautiful little egg and cheese omelette). The coffee was also excellent and the half and half was cold and fresh in my own little pitcher. Loved everything! Thanks so much for having us.

One of the best breakfast experiences I’ve had in a while. Crab cake Benedict was amazing and the chef walked me through a tasting menu of their hot sauces to pair with the meal. Great local vibe and super friendly. Worth a weekly visit.

It's such a great spot. We love supporting small businesses! Waitress was awesome, very personable, and attentive. Food was sooo good cheeseburgers and potato salad. You can tell it was all fresh.

Wow! This place has the best breakfast around. Lots of great options on the menu, wonderful ingredients used, lots of homemade goodies. Coffee cake is the best I’ve ever had. Moist and deliciously crumbly. Our Greek omelettes were cooked to perfection with delicious toast. Wonderful selection of herbal teas and coffee. Charming, rustic diner… Spectacular Service – extremely friendly. Highly recommended!

You enter a place from another era. The breakfast was great. The owner is very nice with a great sense of humor.

We found this place by chance, passing through the road on the way to the beach 🏖, and we just loved it!!! 😉… with my family we give it 5 stars, because something we love is the family atmosphere and that's what we could feel in this simple place, they made us feel at home! 🥰, the attention is super friendly, especially from the waitress Messi, my daughters adored her and the food was spectacular 😋😋😋. I recommend it 💯 ah!!!, I forgot the coffee ☕, fresh and homemade!.

The Ruben sandwich was excellent. Pastrami had good flavor, perfectly grilled and in good proportions. The Higgy steak and cheese sandwich my husband ordered was tasty as well, but our west coast background did leave us craving some au jus. It would have been exceptional with an au jus.

The potato salad is a solid choice for your side dish. It is clearly homemade, and I will happily order it again.

Service was pleasant and attentive. Atmosphere feels like the place the locals all know to go for breakfast or morning coffee, where everyone acknowledges each other or says hello on the way in. The cooking is excellent. A restaurant worth making sure your trip takes you by.

Came from upstate NY to camp at Hammonesset and found this nice diner for breakfast. AMAZING food and really nice staff, super recommend

Small diner but big flavors! Fun and smart breakfast pairings like an Eggs Benedict Sandwich....how have I never had that?!?! My buddy got the Hotlanta and it was terrific as well. Good coffee and great and friendly service. Will head back for sure!

Wowser. What a find. Every bite was delicious. Missy is a great personality and server. One of the Chef’s came out to chat and explained the place was all family. The food is off the charts. I recommend trying everything. She had just made chocolate cupcakes that were insane. Cannot wait to come back!

A great little diner with a unique vibe. You know it’s a special place when you see the dozen or so hot sauces behind the counter, some recognizable and some rare. Eaten breakfast twice, cooked to perfection, tried at least 8 of the sauces. Going for the chili cheese dog next visit. Server was genuinely friendly both times. 3 miles off of Rte. 9. Worth the visit.

Finally was able to stop by this nice little diner. I was happily greeted and taken care of with five star hospitality. I would love to go again. The food I ordered was fantastic. Well worth it.

Feels like home! Walked in and immediately was greeted as an old friend. Service rates 110%. Now the food... exquisite! They have a small but diverse menu, offering anybody what they're looking for. If they have any cooking weakness, it's not something they offer. Everything I've eaten here so far was miraculous and beautifully prepared...felt like a 5 star restaurant plate with a home town service and smile! Great prices too!

I Found this place online and tryed a veggie omelette it was delicious, the potatoes are tasty and cooked just right and they take Apple Pay 👍🏾 5 stars for my experience and the hrs fit my 12 noon lunch schedule , def will eat here again especially being a vegetarian
