We went tonight and had a wonderful experience. We were sat immediately at a really cute whiskey barrel table near the bar with a great view of the tvs(for those that want to watch sports) and were greeted almost immediately by our server/bartender Nicole. She is attentive, knowledgeable, and personable! The food was all so unique and great! I appreciate the thought that went into the recipes, the food wasn’t just basic you can tell thought went into the recipes. Overall great environment, wonderful staff, and awesome first impression. We will be back!

Came here for a beer after I had my first ever pedicure next door! Boy that was great. But anyways the vibe here is chilling nothing out of the ordinary. Just another great bar with good food and beer. Greetings from Miami 👋

If you get the chance, try the brisket wrap, or the brisket burger and the brisket nachos!!!! Smoker is on-site, cooked on site, melt in your mouth... on-site!!!!

Cant believe I would come all the way from the BBQ Capitol of the World (North Carolina) to fall in love with the best BBQ in New Jersey!!

This is hands down the best sports bar in the area and possibly the best in all of New Jersey. The food is fantastic and the people who work there really make it a special place. It’s a bar and restaurant so don’t hesitate to stop if you want to just have lunch or dinner I take my 6 year old often and he loves the pizza. Then I enjoy the adult night out at the bar once a week and it never gets old great spot.

Oh and they’ve added an outside bar now that the warmer weather has arrived.

Ate at bar. Super friendly bar tender, very knowledgeable of dishes and beer selections. Shared the Avocado Bomb and Grand Slam Platter with my stepson. Was enough food to feed many people. The Grand Slam platter had three delicious smoke meats, chicken, brisket and pulled pork. Sides with it included Cole slaw, smoked mac n cheese and baked beans and cornbread. Lots of leftovers, plate worth sharing. Looking forward to becoming a regular.

This place got a rough start and I will admit that, but they have come a long way. Their food has improved. It has a great sports atmosphere. And the prices are very reasonable. There is no reason to look past this place anymore. Great job. I'm getting the wheels turning.

We stopped in here on an early Sunday afternoon & had a really great experience. We sat outside by the bar and the vibe was great. Ordered a burger and a steak sandwich with some beers. Both were delicious! We will definitely be back.

Brisket sandwich was excellent and a nice large portion with fries. Shrimp BLT Po Boy sandwich was also quite good and large. The Taylor ham and egg sandwich again was a large portion and enjoyed by my daughter. Nachos were also good

Met friends for dinner and Tuesday night Bingo. This was my first time at the Pine Tar, and I was pleasantly surprised. Nice atmosphere, food was really good. (I had the sandwich with burnt ends, I forget the name), and the entire restaurant joined in on the Bingo. Really a lot of fun.

Food was delicious. crusted mozzarella was very good sausage with the long hots was on point Highly recommend the coconut cream pie you won’t be disappointed

Thank you Tommy and Gina for such an amazing meal..Penne vodka was out of this world. Bacon wrap shrimp was delicious and home made Zeppoles was a perfect ending…loved the atmosphere……and our waitress was great…….

Food is absolutely amazing. We ordered the shrimp BLT, fries, pretzels and thinny thin pepperoni pizza and it was all excellent..
The waitress was friendly and very competent.
I would definitely return.

We never had a bad meal eating here, however, we decided to take out. I was pleasantly surprised that the meal was just as good taking out as it usually is while dining in. We had the Thinny thin pie and it was out of this world- crisp, cheesy, and savory!

Fabulous food, loved the pistachio martini (made by Jamie), the long hots with potatoes, sausage pinwheel, and wings!! Great atmosphere, Jamie is an incredible server and bartender! So much fun!!!

My first time going there today after living here for a while & was the BEST experience ever! Emma was the greatest server & the chef Ray even came out and talked to us!! Great vibes, GREAT food & GREAT prices for happy hour. Making it a ritual to go every Wednesday afternoon!!! 😁

Food was good, nothing to really write home about, but you won't be unsatisfied with any dish. Very nice portion sizes for the price. It's a wonderful atmosphere for a sports bar. Staff is wonderful :)

My daughter had my Bachelorette party here on a line dancing night! Absolutely loved it! Out waitress, Jamie, was the best.

Great place. If you love the Steelers you'll like it even more. Food was amazing.

Go see Andrew at the bar, grab a burger and a thinny thin pizza. Guaranteed good time! Update - still love going here, but the prices are a bit high.
