McMenamins Sand Trap Pub

The food was so yummy, we showed up a few minutes before lunch, and got a nice seat by the window which views part of a golf course. McMenamins spots are always gonna be my favorite with all the fun artwork and scavenger hunts they offer. I bought a lemon raspberry cider to enjoy on the walk, very delicious.

The clam chowder had so many onions the hub’s couldn’t get it down. Even though I like onions, it was even too much for my taste. After our honest feedback our man Antonio comped us the bowl. In a world full of a dying courtesy, he brought it home with great customer service! And the blackberry cider was really good.

Can’t say enough about the amazing food and service!!!! They never disappoint in food or beverages! Drove all the way from Spokane to here for my birthday weekend!!!! 💞🎂🍻

Beautiful spot to grab a meal, breakfast or lunch. I've had both and the ambiance is worth a thousand words.The chowder and fish and chips are great. Several items to choose from.

I got the secret garden pizza 10 inch, and I must say it was absolutely marvelous! It was literally the best pizza I’ve ever had! I thought I didn’t like mushrooms but these tasted great! The clam chowder was delicious, a lot of clams in it! French fries were tasty n salty. 5/5! Highly recommend! Delicious food and very clean inside!

Great food, great service, very good pizza. Cheese doesn’t fall off! The ranch dressing is a nightmare (to stop eating!)

Food was AMAZING!! It came out so quick I was surprised! Our server, Nicole, was friendly and attentive, highly recommend her! Great experience overall. Calm environment with a nice view of the golf course.

Awesomeness at the beach! Great food and beer and service. Service was awesome. Great beers - we had 8 between four people and they were all tasty. Ordered a variety of dishes and everyone loved everything. Great location specific food compared to other Mecmenamins.

We visited for food and drinks. I ordered the shrimp and crab roll with a cup of chowder. All was delicious. There were plenty of clams in the chowder too. I enjoyed a cocktail paloma--made with fresh squeezed grapefruit. It was wonderful and refreshing.

Ate the brisket sandwich with Cajun spiced tots. Very good. Had a flight of their craft beers. I was not disappointed.

There was a cozy romantic vibe even at noon. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Gorgeous view. We both got the three piece halibut and enjoyed the light breading with large chunks of that glorious fish. Fries tasted home-made. We're excited to done here in the summer months.

This is a great stay! We came in from PDX and a 100° + hot spell....and settled in the dynamite room...viewed a very happy wedding...a championship golf tournament and enjoyed amazing food and drink while relaxing in cooler temperatures! Life is good in Gearhart!

The specialty appetizer menu was amazing. The clam chowder and steamer clams made this one of our favorite McMenamins for food so far.

If you Departed the East Coast where ever you say the best seafood dinner on the East Coast would be served then got on your bicycle and headed west, Ohio, Missouri, Colorado haha. Finally you reached Oregon and thought maybe here they have good seafood. You rode through Portland, over the coast range, sniffing for salty air. Turned left at 101 and straggled into McMenamin's Gearheart Hotel, ordered the Halibut Fish and Chips (get the Tots, it's a Thing) pair it with a Grandma Betty's IPA, and savored every bite. Every stroke of the pedals, grueling minute, punishing miles...would have been worth it.

Amazing part of golf history amazing view excellent service and outstanding food!! The salmon tacos are a must try!

As always, excellent food! McMenamin's is always a sure bet for quality crafted food. Can't say enough good things about them and the service here!

Great food and nice place to chill and taste a sampling of beers. The service was very attentive and scenery is beautiful.

Lacey was an awesome server - food was incredible! Breakfast burrito could feed 3 people and the gravy on the biscuits was perfection! Great job all!

We came down for a girls weekend and our weekend always has to include a stop at this bar. Larime is an amazing bartender. He goes the extra mile to make sure your drink is exactly what you desire and more. His Hot Toddy is amazing. I had the coffee nudge, which was excellent. Thanks again and see you next time we are in town.

Always enjoy visiting McMenamins when we travel. Unique and fun. The green goddess salad with chicken was delicious and the view of the golf course was nice.
