Casa Cortes Family Mexican Restaurant

Craved Mexican food and this was a huge win! From our chips and salsa to our entrees, delicious! I ordered the medium combo with a shredded beef enchilada and a shredded chicken flauta and the meat was so flavorful! My husband enjoyed his Docono burrito as well and we'll be ordering the same things again! We'll be back for sure! The only thing I would change are bigger portions - I didn't have a ton of meat in my flautas and wish there was more.

The food was delicious! They didn’t have a kids menu but whipped up some chicken nuggets for my 6 year old.

Amazing Mexican restaurant that I happen to stumble across.

We just happen to be looking for a Mexican restaurant and found casa cortes family Mexican restaurant. I will say this restaurant did not disappoint.

So I had the guacamole to start followed by the combo fajitas and finished with the churros.

I am a guacamole snob and I won’t say it was the best I ever had but it still was really good.

Next was the fajitas and they did not disappoint. The portion size was large and the flavor was excellent. I was stuffed!

I however couldn’t pass up trying my favorite thing churros and they were amazing.

The service was very fast and attentive. I highly recommend if you’re in the area to give this place a try!

Outstanding establishment. The food, the service, the ambience. I had tacos al pastor & my friend had steak street tacos. Everything was authentic & delicious. It's been a minute since I had some good Mexican food, and I was satisfied. Plus, being from Long Beach, CA, I loved the Snoop statue at the bar. I highly recommend!

Great tasting food. Fast service. New server Jose did a great job. Talked with owners Ruben and Edith. Large servings with plenty of flavor. Got there early on a Saturday evening. This place fills up fast. The Molcajete de Marisco was amazing. Kathy had the large combination platter. It was great heated up for lunch today. First time here, but won't be the last. Oh, and ice cold cerveza.

Fun, colorful restaurant with warm and attentive staff. Our waitress was really friendly and helpful. The Birria tacos were some of the best I've had and came with a huge serving of rice and beans. My husband enjoyed the street tacos, especially the El pastor. The queso was decent, but not sure we'd order it again. The La crepa dessert was really yummy as well. Highly recommend.

They have mole here! Lunch took quite a while to order, receive food, and then pay. The food was very delicious though.

Hidden Gem! Took the family and was very happy with our food. I had the burrito terasco and loved it. My son had the combo platter and everything was hot and delicious. Highly recommend if you live in Carbon Valley.

We had dinner tonight for our 21st anniversary! Food was amazing!! Owner made it so special for us ❤gave us shots on the house and dessert!! Even went above and beyond and played love music ❤❤made us feel special!!! Thank you fri. The bottom of our hearts ❤❤

We tried this restaurant for the first time last night. Excellent-excellent experience-their Cadillac margarita was excellent-fresh tasting and smooth. I had a soft chile rellano and pork carnitas combo plate. Their green chile is mild so not so spicy you can’t eat or taste the food. I also asked for a side of their tomatillo sauce and it too was exceptional. It was an excellent addition to my chile rellano. For dessert we had abuelitas churros and another excellent and nicely presented dish.
This is one of those rare little restaurants that you often miss on side of road. I highly recommend this restaurant and Rubin, the owner is extremely nice and friendly and has a good business sense and fantastic food options! It is now our go to Mexican restaurant!! Don’t miss out!!

Everyone was really friendly when we came in, we were sat right away. They were very swift with service but the food is to die for. I mean my god they had some of the best birria tacos and chicken mole. To say the least we are very satisfied and we have found a new date night spot!

We eat at Casa Cortes at least twice a week. Ruben, Edith and staff do a great job! Always ready to please.
I love the peach margarita that Edith makes special for me.
They have a new fish filet salad that top chefs would praise.

There a times in a person’s life where they find a secret gem of a restaurant that you want to tell everybody about yet also know that IF you tell everybody this place will become so popular that getting a seat will become impossible to get.

Casa Cortes is such a place!

Food = AWESOME!!!
Service = AMAZING!!!
Atmosphere = HOMEY AND INVITING!!!
Drinks = SPOT ON!!!
Value for the Money = Crazy reasonable for what you get!!!

Just the fact that we were greeted at the door by the owner (Rubin - you ROCK!) and promptly seated with awesome service - just amazing!!

If you want a special secret, definitely try the tomatillo salsa! Not overly spicy and it served warm?!?! Wow!

My wife and I had the Cadillac margarita with Don Julio, but next time we are TOTALLY taking Rubin’s advice and going to try the Cortez Margarita with Suavecito Tequila.

Oh! Don’t forget to also get Abuelita’s Churros for dessert!!!!

The experience overall was amazing. The food was some of the best Mexican food I have had. They were fast and good are food quickly. I definitely suggest going here for good food.

We recently moved to Frederick and are trying to find good restaurants, especially Mexican. From South Texas, lived in California, New Mexico and Arizona have experienced a lot of regional flavors. We looked up Casa Cortes and tried it tonight. It was great! I ordered Tacos al Pastor. It was good, a bit different than other regions like Arizona. Not as much pineapple a bit more spicy. The beans were, in my opinion, were the perfect combination of puree with whole beans. The Guacamole was perfect.
Not a lot of tomato or onion, perfect consistency. The rice was good. My husband had the skirt steak and shrimp. Great flavor on the skirt steak. We ordered Abuelitas Churros for desert. We were treated to a stylist and tasty masterpiece. Sweet Crema filled churros with cinnamon, fresh strawberries, a scoop of vanilla ice cream with Strawberry Pocky (a Japanese treat) and chocolate and crema for dipping. (See photo.) The owners and staff were friendly and great.

P.S. To those who complain about take out not being right temperature, its simply not possible for food to be its best unless eaten at restaurant served fresh! AND, people please check your take out order before you leave, then it can be corrected on the spot!

Great, authentic food, super-friendly staff all around, especially the Cortes family. Really a great experience. Best Mexican food in town these days. We'll be back .

Absolutely recommend Casa Cortes our family of 6 finally went last night. I couldn’t be more pleased. Service & staff was excellent! The food we all had different plates ALL DELICIOUS!! I had Birria tacos & they were AMAZING! Highly recommend we will be returning.

Had lunch recently and it was superb. Reĺlanos, my test for traditional food, were the best around. Generous portions and service was really good.

Delicious Mexican food with friendly staff to boot. I only found it a little weird that there are no prices on the menu - but the food was well worth it. The staff is very courteous and genuine - and I look forward to going back. They have a nice selection of items and combinations.

The place is a little hard to find as it isn't right off 52 and is behind the strip mall.

My coworkers and I had lunch here yesterday and it was amazing! Great service and delicious food. Highly recommend!
