I had an incredible experience at this classic American diner! Our server, Carol, provided outstanding service. We enjoyed the pancakes and cinnamon French toast, which were both delicious, along with perfectly cooked eggs, crispy bacon, and tasty sausage links. The diner exudes a wonderful 60's and 70's atmosphere, complete with a jukebox playing all the hits. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a nostalgic dining experience! Breakfast for 2 was $20!

Don't let the location or appearance keep you away. Service was fast and friendly and food was hot and delicious. Liver and onions were delicious and the roast beef sandwich one of the best we've ever had in a restaurant. We will be going back for breakfast and to try other sandwiches and dinners. A diamond in the rough for sure.

Stopped here with friends while traveling to Chicago from Canada. Great little family diner. Food came hot and fresh. I had an omelet and my wife had oat meal. Friendly and attentive service. I would definitely return if I'm passing through Flint again.

This was our first experience dining at West Side Diner. My family and I were meeting a couple of friends for lunch. Service was amazing, the food was delicious, and not to mention affordable prices!

Coming from Lansing and I'd gladly drive 45 minutes out of my way and bring the rest of the family! ❤

Got the burger special that included a milkshake or malt. The food was good, hot, and fresh. The chocolate malt, served in the stainless steel mixing cup, was delicious. We ordered a coney dog and split it as an appetizer. Also, very good. The atmosphere was a classic, 50s diner. A great spot for a delicious burger and fries!

I have eaten here twice. I had a burger the first time, and it was great. A real fresh ground smashed beef burger. The fries are the good quality quarter inch cuts, and taste like good fresh oil was used. Ranch dressing on the side is generous and tastes homemade. Got the gyro combo today with a Greek salad that was really good. Fresh and crisp lettuce and all that is good on a Greek salad. The atmosphere is really sweet, like a 50s diner with lots of wall art and memorabilia. It is clean in there, too. Napkins and condiments on every table.

We eat here 3-4 times a month for dinner/lunch. Fish and chips are top notch, I would suggest well done if you like your fish a little crispy. Also the burgers are perfect. And the absolute BEST beef gravy in this state,

My family frequents this place because it is our absolute favorite! We enjoy everything about it. If you have kids, definitely stop in for the cool classic car kids meals! They are so neat!

Total gem of a diner. I got the fish and chips with a cup of chicken dumpling soup and my husband got the 1/3 lb burger with fries and a shake (for $10!). My soup was AMAZING and I’ve never seriously used this phrase before but it was literally just like my mom used to make. Fish was good, fries were crispy. My husband would not shut up about how amazing the milkshake was and he’s a bit of an ice cream connoisseur. His burger was delicious and as it says on the menu, all their patties are made daily and never frozen. The restaurant itself has a very authentic 1950s feel to it and even though we went late on a Sunday evening, it was still fairly busy and full of a bunch of older folks. Booth, floor, everything was clean and the service was quick and attentive. We 100% will be coming back, probably many more times in the future.

EDIT: went back 5 days later just for a soup and it was again fantastic. Love this place. 💕

EDIT #2: took my kids and my in-laws, and they all loved it, too. Everyone got the $10 combo and my father in law was the only one who could finish the food and the malt shake. Soup was once again amazing. 👌🏼

The server I had was very nice very pleasant very beautiful and attractive I will be back and I would love to have her as my server again but I did not get her name I am so sorry but you are amazing I will be back if she does see this tell her I was the guy that tip her the $20

I LOVE Westside! The food is amazing and always great service. My new favorite is the hot roast beef sandwich w/gravy and mashed potatoes... oh my! (Trying the turkey next!) Their fish-n-chips are another favorite of ours, and you can't beat their burger that they grind fresh daily. Want a real treat? Order a homemade milkshake! (They never tell me their ice cream machine is broken!) My only problem with this place is deciding WHAT to order lol. With inflation at an all new high, it was cheaper for us to eat there as opposed to a "fast food" drive thru for sub-par food. In fact, my last trip to McD's, cost more, and there's no comparison in the food. Give them a try! You won't be disappointed!
