Best tcg experience in the area, hands down. Amazing people and amazing cards! 10/10 recommend every time.

More like Grand and Great games! They have good pricing on singles and sealed product for TCG and a good amount of accessories too (sleeves, boxes, play mats, etc). Owners are friendly and welcoming as is their typical player base. Good spot if you are looking for some trading card game action in the Carbondale area.

Pretty cool people to talk Pokemon with. I come here regularly to check in for new cards and booster packs. I always get caught up in a fun conversation about different cards and lore and it's always great to learn more than you didn't know and pass information about things to others they didn't know. Great atmosphere and a really fun and constantly changing collection. Definitely recommend to people to check out.

Honestly the only reliable and reasonably priced collectible store in the area. CP, A2Z, and everywhere else (pawn shops like si pawn) all over price their product by several dollars. Imagine charging 7 dollars for a reverse hollow uncommon from SVI base set. Imagine charging 500 dollars for a used 3ds that's just sitting in a case unwrapped. Imagine charging 50 dollars for a gardevoir ex. Yes all of that I've seen at these other shops. At GnG, you don't have to worry about these things. They're honest people.

I went into this store while I was waiting on food yesterday, I had never been here before and it was amazing! the atmosphere was awesome and the selection was great! The worker at the counter with the beard and hair in a bun was very friendly, never pushy and seemed like he knew what he was talking about. I haven't played magic the gathering or Pokémon in a while, but I think I will be coming back soon for sure!

Best card shop in town. I don't go anywhere else but this shop. They are very helpful, don't gate keep any questions I have and are just genuinely great people. A+ business with an A+ atmosphere for everyone.

Despite the small size of the physical store, GnG has pretty large and welcoming community. After a recent free draft event (an extreme oddity), I found myself extremely welcomed by both the employees and regulars. I’ve also enjoyed the new shift in placing products as non-card items are now more visible and available for purchase.
While not necessarily a fixable problem, the size of the shop itself can be an issue during more populated events, such as card game or Super Smash Bros. Tournaments. And walking past several people all staring intently at the cards in front of them is quite intimidating.
Beyond that, while most of the valuable cards are on display it is always hard to tell what exactly is in the store’s inventory. Their TCGPlayer online store does help, as well as their employees ability to check their systems, but the large amount of bulk cards in the back are begging to be sorted through. It can be hard to tell if there is a copy of that random uncommon you need for your deck and being told to “check the back” seems like an arduous task.
As an update from the previous iteration of the review, the store has been trying to create more events. Double Prize Pack Friday Night Magic, two days a week designated as mostly for Yu-Gi-Oh play, Dungeons and Dragons on Saturday Nights, and “Commander League” Sundays are all excellent highlights of such efforts. Drawing in a crowd has continued to prove difficult, but I believe this is one of the best places in town to play. (I hope to see you there!)
Grab and Go Games is a great place with a great community of players always looking for more people. If you're interested in Magic the Gathering, the Pokémon TCG, or Yu-Gi-Oh, you’ll almost always find someone to chat with there.

I shop here every week with my partner. Always treated kindly by the owner Paul and the attendants are nice to their customers (shoutout to Paul, Madison, Elise, Roland, Ben, and Jacob) they have patience when I'm shopping for gifts for my partner because I'm no expert in card games.

I'm writing this review because I truly believe this is one of the better card stores in town, and I have never been treated poorly here. The owner is very careful about the safety and health of the customers and employees by having hand sanitizing stations at every table and having a strict mask rule inside the shop. There is a person going on this review page, making new accounts, and writing poor reviews because they have time to do that I guess lol because they were banned from this establishment for admitting to writing poor reviews for no good reason against the store. Everyone knows who this person is and who they are affiliated with.

I love the Carbondale area for its unique shops & community. Whenever I swing through town, this is on my list of stops both to pick up new cards & to hang out since there’s always someone around to play. Friendly (& incredibly helpful) staff & amazing vibes here — + I don’t feel gouged on prices like you do at other places. So glad to have this supportive community.

This place is really chill and homey, very friendly people. I personally come for the smash tournaments, and am a very hardcore introvert, they don’t hesitate to make you feel welcomed. And just everyone is just really nice and awesome.

First time there and went as it was close to campus. I'm not a big gamer anymore but had been searching out Digimon Cards for nostalgia and only wanted to grab a few commons to reminiscence about using them with my D-Arc. I even ended up purchasing more than I intended for the artwork.

Employee was very helpful and ready to answer questions even though he was also filling online orders. Great multi-tasker.

And, though I don't play any games currently or see my self "needing" to get more Digimon, I recommend these guys.

So, shout out to the employee with the face tattoo. Great guy. He was constantly working and still super friendly. Sorry I didn't get a name.

Great atmosphere with a great energy. Definitely my favorite card shop in the area, the prices are unbeatable and their card deals are beyond reasonable. I wouldn't think to go anywhere else for cards.

The owner will treat you like family, I have purchased from him when Force of Will was hyped at release and even though I'm from California, his shipping is always spot on. I can't wait to visit Illinois to stop by at his shop to buy booster boxes from this trusted store. I wonder if you do preorders online?

Thanks for the business!

Have continued to shop at this store since it launched. It is very recommendable, has good product as well as a staff that will go out of their way to assist you in every way possible, from giving newcomers proper recommendations to going out of their way to find the product your specifically searching for and making sure you receive that product promptly as well as in good condition. Has been a good time, every time. 5 stars from me!

Almost everyone here is rad, they're incredibly friendly and don't seem to even have strict rules or management they focus on having fun and openly sharing all of their varied interests. Such an uplifting environment to be in.
