I have lived in this city my whole life which is 54 years and this is the first year I've known about this store. Because I don't live all that close I can't get out there as often as I'd like but this was my second trip out there and they have some stuff that other Asian stores don't have that I have been looking for for 20 years and only wish I would have known about these guys because they've had it for that long. You will not go wrong if you go to this store.

My family and I went in there on a lark and found tons of items that we are excited to try! Not only that the proprietor made us feel completely welcome and was incredibly friendly and I know we will be back. They have Kewpie mayonnaise which is the best and tons of new and fun things to try along with old favorites. There’s a little bit of everything it’s very carefully thought out to meet needs if you have specific ones as well as curiosity and exploration. Many thanks and we will come back.

Around the pandemic I started really focusing on cooking. A lot of my favorite Asian restaurants have left the Toledo area and I can't help but get a craving for good authentic Chinese, Thai, or even Korean food. On a whim I searched google for Asian groceries and found this place. It was in a mini mall around a lot of road construction but I'm glad I didn't let that dissuade me.

First, the proprietor that is always there is just a delight! She's kind and thoughtful and helps you with recipes. I could walk in there and say the name of a recipe and she would walk me around the store pointing at every bottle and noodle and sauce I might need. She'll also give you some quick basics on how to prepare it.

It's small but jam packed with everything you need to create an amazing dish. Make sure you don't leave without some Laoganma spicy chili crisp and try the frozen aisle for dumplings and unique treats. There's a great little snack food area too and canned fun drinks. I make a point to grab something different I haven't tried every time I visit. This store is worth a trip (even if you don't have a recipe in mind) to find something remarkable and surprising to try.

The store looks small on the outside, but they have a really nice and wide selection! I was able to find some authentic Japanese brands of candy and crackers, as well as what I was really craving when I went - natto! Definitely worth checking out, and the shop owner will be super sweet when you stop by.

Been in here a couple times and the lady (owner?) that usually works in there is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She offered a lot of advice on making sushi the first time we went and some Chinese dishes the second time. Huge selection if a bit cramped. Prices are about the same as the other markets in the area.

The perfect one-stop shop! My partner is passionate about learning how to cook Thai food, and has been practicing very hard. This is how we came by the Asian Grocery and African Grocery. The owner is so incredibly kind. She brought us a second basket when ours was close to filling up. She always asks what we’re making and gives us superb advice on ingredients! And she recommends great snacks too!;) The wide diversity in products and excellent customer service have made this place a staple for our grocery shopping. Could not recommend more!

I've been going for a while now but always love visiting the store. The space always feels light and happy and the owner always greets you with a smiling face and remembers us every time we go. She's always cooking something in the back and it makes the store smell amazing. She loves helping you find new foods and recipes to try. I never regret going and it always becomes the highlight of my day.

Asian Grocery is THE BEST place in town. Not only do they have an amazing selection, but their prices are fair, too. But the best part is how the owner goes out of her way to make sure that you are getting the ingredients you want based on the dishes you want to create. She is a wealth of knowledge and is so generous with her time and expertise. I would drive out of my way to visit this place, simply because I know that I will be taken care of. She also remembered my grandmother who used to be a frequent patron, which I thought was so kind and thoughtful.

I first visited this store 2 years ago and yesterday I went back. I definitely like that it's a lot more organized now compared to before. Nice owner as well. Great variety of selections to choose from. The only thing to watch out for is expired products. I understand that Toledo is not an area with high traffic shoppers for Asian products, but that is why 2 years ago I found this out about the expired products. Other than that i like this store's selection for Asian products I would look for.

The best market in Toledo hands down! And Hong is super sweet and amazing and helpful. They have a nice variety to pick from. I come here all the time for all my favorite Japanese snacks and foods. This market has so much more than just Asian products as well. 10/10 highly highly recommend

Excellent place. The lady took the time to bring me a hand basket and by what I was already holding she quickly understood what I was going to cook. She even suggested a different product that was more appropriate for my recipe. This place goes on my favorites now. Will be back often.

Great little find! Super easy to get to coming from rural NW Ohio. Its not easy to get authentic quality products like she carries at the big box stores I have access to! She was super friendly and helpful!

Wonderful and friendly. Lots of variety! Glad I went and I'll be going back regularly. The shelves are busy but not too hard to find what you are looking for. Also asking for clarification was easy.
