they recommended a charter boat for my family and I. We fished all day with Captain Sean O'Connor, the owner of four leaf charters and had an excellent time. he went above and beyond what we expected! His boat was immaculate and by the end he felt like family. He was patient and knowledgeable and I could tell he loved what he does. I would highly recommend him for your next fishing excursion.

Nice bait shop in Sanibel with friendly service. They are very quick to answer any question you may have and give guidance on recommendations for bait, fishing spots and what's currently biting. They worked very well with 11 year old boy who loves to fish.

I have been using The Bait Box for several years. The staff are friendly and helpful. They have a good selection of bait and gear for local fishing. Prices are reasonable. Great location.

An island must see. The folks there are always very helpful and knowledgeable about all things fishing related in this very well stocked store. If they don't have it it's because you don't need it. Not pushy at all and will only sell you what you need or want including a very nice selection of outerwear, fishing related gear, and awesome t-shirts. A little something for everyone, but if you want to know where the fish are and how to catch em this is the place for you. Stop in often, I do.

Sorry about the one star. Didn't mean to do that! My experience was very nice, employee was helpful. I just needed a 3 day license and was told how to get one. I was sold the right bait as was recommended. I caught a bunch. Thanks!

I went there everyday of my vacation. I had a great time. I had never fished saltwater. They were very helpful. It was my first stop on the island and my last stop before leaving. I caught fish everyday with their help. They taught my Grandson and I to use a casting net for our own bait. They will be my first stop if I get to come back to Sanibel next year. Ron, Bob, Shawn, Calvin all do a great job.

I have been a customer for 22 years at the Bait Box. Always the place to go to get live bait, tackle, good advice, and friendly service. I probably average 2 dozen shrimp a day from the bait box when I am in town, and they catch me fish! What more do you want?

very helpful and extremely patient. they set my husband and i up with everything we needed for our first fishing trip as well as just where to go to make the most of our time. we had a blast and will most certainly be back!

My grandson fished every day so he made several trips here. Most everyone was nice and helpful. They usually had what we wanted. I highly recommend this place.

The store looked good, they had all the essentials. The guy was friendly and had some good advise. They were generous with the bait and the quality was good!

Ran into a little situation after leaving the shop on my bike. Had just bought a pen battle 2. Ended up braking the handle. Dragged my sorry butt back in and the boys at the bait box fixed me right up. Without a doubt not their problem, but they made me whole. That’s what a bait shop should be about. They are doing it right down at the bait box.

It's a time tested fact you will catch more fish if you buy your shrimp here. The quintessential Sanibel island bait and tackle shop - everything you need, nothing you don't. While it may be a bit more expensive than a big box retailer - be a patriot and support your local fishing businesses!

Everything a person needs for a good day of fishing. We were able to rent some poles, grab some extra hooks, buy a bait bucket and some live shrimp and head down to the pier for some great fishing. On the first day we caught limit on Spanish mackerel. Day 2 we latched onto a few Sheepshead at the pier then went to blind pass in the evening. Fished off the bridge and caught a few more Sheepshead. Morning of day 3 headed back over to that bridge and got some really nice Sheepshead.

If you need bait or advice about fishing on the island of Sanibel , this is the shop to visit. The bait box always has everything I need to cast a few lines on the surf. The staff is very knowledgeable about what to catch and when to catch. If u need a rig hooked up, they pretty much do it for you. !!
