What an incredible day! Bill was absolutely amazing and his care and depth of knowledge is unbelievable. He was incredibly patient and made our experience so memorable! We're so pleased with our new Maton guitar! IMPORTANT NOTE is that Artisan is an appointment only business, and a boutique business so be sure to have something set up in advance. It's worth it!!

I first learned of Maton guitars while attending the Tommy Emmanuel Guitar Camp in Nashville TN. After considerable research I was refered to Artisan Guitars by other guitarists at the camp as THE place to purchase my new Maton guitar. Prior to the visit I called Artisan and spoke with Bill. He was extremely helpful and thorough. I scheduled an appointment and traveled from Florida to meet him and make the purchase. He spent 2 hours with me, set up my new guitar perfectly, and was so adament about making sure I was happy. It was amazing! Highly recommend

I bought a Maton EBG808C from Bill at Artisan Guitars in Franklin TN. I have been playing guitar for more than 25 years and have owned dozens of guitars, but this buying experience was the best and most unique one yet. Bill welcomed me into his studio, and his home, and he took the time to teach me about the history of Maton guitars and answered all the questions I had. The guitar I bought is the best acoustic guitar I have ever played. I had never even seen a Maton in person before but I knew I wanted one. Bill made the process very easy and enjoyable. He shipped the guitar to me in a day’s time and it showed up in perfect condition. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that it sounds as good in my living room as it did in the studio. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a high-end acoustic guitar. You will not be disappointed.

Recently purchased a Fender Custom Shop Strat at Artisan. Had a great experience and Jesse was great at helping me along with my purchase as well as guitar nerding with me.

What an awesome experience with Artisan Guitars. They are open by appointment. When I arrived the guitar I had called about was on a stand by a stool. They told me about the instrument I had come to see then put it in my hands. In perfect tune. The tone was beautiful. They then set it up to my liking (lower bridge saddle, a simple swap out, they had spares) and she was ready to go. A true concierge service and I bought the guitar I wanted for a fair price. Awesome experience, great staff and a beautiful shop.
5 Stars only because I cannot give 10. I will be back when next in Nashville.

With all the guitar slingers and celebs in Nashville they see all the time I was treated with the best customer service I've ever had. I drove in from Memphis and my guitar (Messiah) was tuned and waiting on me. I'm clearly an amateur but felt so welcomed in this place. I was offered coffee and Bill answered the many questions I had about Matons and so much more. I may have been needlessly intimidated at first but they quickly put me at ease in their shop. And no I did NOT play Stairway to Heaven!

Also, the people with whom I spoke were straightforward, knowledgeable, and friendly. I couldn't ask for a better experience and lucky to have Jesse as my salesperson.

One of the finest guitar shops in the country. Having worked for Gibson I really appreciated my experience at this store. Greated by Eric and had a great discussion with the owner Bill. Had a chance to play many of their stock top quality instruments from the best builders in the world. A fabulous store for any guitarist. They take them down off the hooks tune the up they even adjusted the action to my liking so I could get a feel for the guitar. A great shopping experience. Check this place out!

I've purchased six guitars through Artisan -- including a Huss & Dalton Custom CM that involved quite a bit of three-way communication to help me discover the "art of the possible", and to spec the perfect guitar custom built for me. I can't say enough good things about Bill and Ellie, and their staff. Artisan is THE BEST music store I've ever dealt with in over 50 years of playing, and buying, guitars.

Artisan Guitars is a wonderful guitar store run by people that are knowledgeable, hardworking and caring. They worked with me for over an hour trying to identify a weird guitar model this morning as part of a possible trade-in. They were thorough, transparent and kind during the process. I will also echo the sentiment in someone else's review that they were very generous with their time. Their selection of guitars is excellent and unique. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a great guitar.

I’ve rarely purchased a guitar that I haven’t played. Anyway, something in the first email I received from Artisan drew me to their website. After a few visits I made contact with Bill. From the first exchange
I felt totally at ease. Over time, communicating with Ellie and Jesse cemented my confidence that I chose the right guitar shop.
I decided to sign a consignment deal with them to sell my Martin. Everything, everything involved with this transaction, even the lender they use, was friendly and informative. My guitar sold quickly and i’m loving my new Maton Tommy Emmanuel.

Amazing experience. Easily made an appt. They walked me through how the guitars are made. Superb customer service experience. Didn't feel pushed to buy it. Got the SRS808 and a BlackWolf StompBox. Both are beautifully made and sound amazing. Would 100% recommend for an amateur or professional.

Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They were extremely easy to work with, have a great inventory, and will spend as much time as you need them to in order to find the right guitar for you. I just purchased a Santa Cruz guitar that is incredible. Down the line when I want to add to the collection this will be the first store I visit.

Extremely happy with my recent experience with Artisan Guitars. I located a National NRP-B Series guitar on their website and had a trip planned through Tennessee to pick it up. Bill was fantastic to work with over email and allowed me to place a fully non-refundable hold on it. Knowing I was traveling through on vacation, he even provided me with recommended places to visit and eat while in Franklin!

I was overly impressed with the shop when I arrived - an absolutely fantastic guitar shop with a very helpful and very friendly staff. Was able to try out the guitar and ended up buying it and have been extremely happy with it.
