Global Star Market

I got the Jerk Chicken plate and it was great. I didn't shop at the store part but it was well organized and clean. The owner I assume was actually cleaning his equipment which is a great sign. They only serve Jamaican food now in tye restaurant portion which all looked great. It was actually cooked by a Jamaican man lol. The other places I've tried in Murfreesboro were not and you could tell.

I was getting a haircut at Nexgen when I noticed a something new had opened. Went to check it out and it is an African & Caribbean Grocery called Global Star Market that opened last week. I met the owner Abraham who is from Africa and has lived in Murfreesboro for 10 years now. He took some time to tell me about the grocery, the different foods they are offering, and how certain products are used…he was such a pleasure to talk to and learn from. It is always interesting to see how global food companies market different products and use interesting marketing terms…like Heinz calling a dressing “zingy” LOL. Go visit with Abraham, there are a lot of interesting products you could use in your own kitchen!

Best place to stock up your favorite African food and supplies. This is my go to spot to buy my must have Nigerian 🇳🇬😘food. Clean and nicely organized store. And they serve hot meals to go 😋. Tell Abraham Patricia sent you 💚😀

I love this African store. The place is neat and clean. Every product on the shelf has a price tag and well organized. They sell in bulk too. I’m happy to have African store close to my house.

In this market, you can find a wide variety of African cuisine, along with delicious Caribbean dishes. Abraham and his team consistently deliver exceptional customer service, always going the extra mile to address any concerns. This market has become my top choice for all my African essentials, and I'm ecstatic to have discovered it here in Murfreesboro.

Amazing place! Amazing products & Food Menu! Amazing staff! - Always smiling & very helpful.. I come to visit every now and then to get some organic toothpaste, African black soap, and a few herbs to make some teas. They have some great tinctures for detoxing the body as well!

I visited this store about a week ago and was really impressed. I’m so glad I found this store. Our family just moved to the Franklin area from the east coast and I’m happy that I found an African market with all my favorites and excellent customer service. The store is very clean and very well stocked with all the essentials. The owner is really helpful and immediately upon entering the store I felt welcome. They also have a great selection of Caribbean products in addition to the African items. This shop will definitely be my go to for all my ingredients for tasty Ghanaian dishes.

This place is amazing. My husband, Adam and I love trying new things, but never have tried African cuisine before. We were truly missing out. Abraham’s freshly cooked food is amazing! The peanut butter soup is not usually on the menu, but when it is, try it! It is so delicious with the fufu. Everything is so flavorful. I wish I could give this place 50 stars.

I and my family enjoyed shopping African grocery at global star because of the good customer service we received everytime we go there. The owner is humble, friendly and honest with his goods. Also, some of his prices are cheaper compare to the other stores.

Very friendly proprietor of the establishment. Assorted quality various african food products. For a quick snack, try their delicious beef and chicken meat pies. Jamaican kitchen coming soon inside as well

Oh my so so glad we finally have a fully stocked African/International Market in Murfreesboro, all the goodies you miss from 🇬🇭 🇳🇪 🇹🇬 🇨🇮 🇪🇬 🇲🇽 and all around the world. Your one stop shop for International foods and something new to try if you are adventurous!!!

It’s nice to finally have an African store in Murfreesboro! Abraham was very pleasant and helpful. He took feedback as far as items that I might like to see on the shelves and we even discussed the price of Nido. He Took the time to listen to the customer I was. That’s service! Thank you.

I found the Jamaican curry I needed for a recipe I wanted to try. Bought a couple of extra seasonings too. I will definitely visit the store again.

Delicious. Delicious. The curry goat is a classic but the egusi and fufu were good for my soul.
