Harbor Freight Tools

We really like the Athens store. It's clean and well-lit and not in a questionable part of town as many HFT stores tend to be. But, I have noticed that this particular store seems to run out of stock on promotional items consistently and unusually fast. Can't tell if this is an issue with corporate stocking levels (they don't send this store enough of these items) or if there's a cartel of locals who swoop in and grab these items to resell... Either way, I don't go to the Athens store if I'm specifically going for a particular sale item or promotion because it almost always ends up being a wasted trip. Hopefully the store will get a handle on this issue sooner rather than later. Other than that, it's a great store with friendly, helpful employees who actually make themselves available to answer questions or help locate items.

Overall, HFT has been a blessing and a curse for me. The tools are very affordable and they generally hold up to heavy use. I worked as a heavy truck mechanic for several years and used quite a few of the original Pittsburgh branded HFT tools, including impact sockets. I broke maybe two or three of the cheaper pry bars but everything else held up to daily use in a big shop. Form, fit and finish have improved since that time, so even though I pretty much own every tool I need, I always manage to find something to buy - even if it's consumables like sandpaper or reciprocating saw blades, tarps, etc. I do not, however, buy the batteries. Those just don't last and are not worth the savings.

Great deals on tools! Maybe not the highest quality tools but I have bought many tools here that I have had no problems with. It’s easy to get in and out quickly when you need something in a hurry. I like getting email receipts and emailed sales flyers.

I was working out of town in Decatur Alabama at the Racking horse breeders and exhibitors Championship show, in which Chris Zahnd & I'm McGregor there second world grand championship in a row, when I stop in the local harbor freight and became a member of the inside track club for $30 a year you get great coupons on many things and on some purchases you get free items ranging it all sorts of prices. A good valuable stop so glad I made it

The level of service & friendliness of the staff was exceptional.

Great store and very friendly workers. This store had exactly what I was looking for and they also have very good prices on everything I looked at. You need to at least give yourself a good solid 30 minutes or more to look at all the great deals they have. While your there you need to sign up for the emails and catalogs it will send you 20% off sometimes along with their deals and even coupons for free stuff you can get with a purchase.

The cashier was super sweet and not only used the coupon we had but the second purchase we made, the coupon that printed out from our first purchase, she use the coupon on our second purchase so we saved on it too! We appreciated that so much!! That was very sweet of her!

This is a very nice Harbor Freight store. It's neat and well organized. It seems bigger than some I've been in, definitely bigger than the Huntsville AL store. I've been shopping at HF for years and I'm running out of things to buy. This store seemed to have quite a few items not available at smaller stores. I think every single employee I walked by greeted me and asked if I was finding everything OK. I overheard a manager jumping on the stocking team over their radios about keeping items neat when stocking and not dumping things in bins. Her dedication showes in how nicely presented everything is in the store. Bathroom was easily accessible, clean, and well stocked also. AA+

Harbor freight rules!! Their brands are well made and usually just as good as DeWalt or any of the other expensive brands offered elsewhere. The employees are very nice and knowledgeable. We've been so happy with the many things purchased here and will definitely continue to be customers. Oh! And the tent sales and parking lot sales are great too! Stop by and see for yourself!

I had a big project in my yard this weekend, and I came to Harbor Freight. Initially, I had some trouble because I got some of the wrong tools, but Tonya and Benjamin were very helpful in guiding me in the right direction and helping make suggestions. The store was well stocked and the prices very reasonable. I would come back!

I've bought many items from Harbor Freight and haven't been disappointed in any way. I know the quality isn't the best but for home use works great. Their return policy is awesome too. I bought a generator with the two year extended warranty, about year and half into it it started leaking gas. Got my warranty papers out, took it back they said go get you another one, they replaced it no questions no hassle. That was cool, all they required was all the gas was out of it which was no problem all of had leaked out.

Like all Harbor Freight stores I have been in the staff is very friendly and helpful. Store is well stocked and process are clearly marked on each item. Prices are excellent. Well worth a trip.

Best staff of any harbor freight. Decaturs harbor freight is awesome. Best prices. As a mechanic buying tools is expensive. Most of theirs is lifetime warranty. If one breaks they replace it on the spot. Excellent service and prices. Download their app and save 20% on any one item and always get your free tool or accessory as well. I love Harbor Freight! Cheap tools that get the job done with many having lifetime warranties. They have the expensive tools as well as cheap tools. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location.
