J & J Country Store

This is a convenience store on hwy 380 half way between Denton and Decatur where the locals in the "Stony" area get gas and gossip. Want to stop for clean restrooms for your dainty little children, please keep going down the road to Buc-ees in Denton! This is where to meet your neighbors in the area. The friendly owner is from Syria decades ago and has raised his family here. He's friends with everybody who is anybody around here. We've spent hours discussing religion, politics, and you name it for nearly 20 years. For a few bucks park your old jalopy you have for sale out front by hwy 380. Allows my brother to park his big truck out back overnight for free, on the other hand we actually buy fuel and I get these great little colorful Mexican candies on the counter . . .

Friendly and non imposing assistance/ I am a physically disabled female that is independent/ I have never had impositions on the outside of this convenience store/ fair prices especially on sundays and if you legitimately purchase items

Extremely nice people and amazing food! They don't have a huge menu but the food is truly awesome. Tacos, burritos, Tortas, hamburgers....... it's all great! Don't let the looks of the place fool you. It's a mom-and-pop joint but those places always have the best food. Everybody knows that.....

I come here only for snacks and for the delicious food. Two ladies cook Mexican food in the kitchen and the food is amazing for lunch and breakfast. You should give it a try.

Dangerous place. Do not go. Owner is very rude and threatening.

They call this a truckstop? You can stop and pay $10 for parking with no restrooms.
I would not buy any food from that place, the whole store has a bad smell to it.

I stopped here on a road trip with my husband and three little girls ages 3, 5, and 1 because the kids wanted some ice cream. We walked in and proceeded to the restroom while my husband started to shop. The man at the front confronted my husband and accused him of sneaking in the back door (???) and using the restroom without asking and then demanded we leave. Needless to say, this place is AWFUL! I will not be back!

Owner of the place told me you have to ask to use the restroom cause it is not a gas station and that it was his house. Strongly suggest to not go to this place. Restroom was disgusting and so was store. Guy is middle eastern and hates Americans.

Stopped here to get some drinks and use the restroom with two ten-year-old old boys. Was very rudely informed that there is no restroom at this truck stop.
