Quick fill with modern pumps and top tier BP gasoline. Prices are the same as any other top tier dispensary. Convenience store is stocked with cold beverages, snacks and other amenities. The attendant on our visit was friendly and informative. Huge lot with plenty of terminals and parking

I live in Missouri, and was visiting Waterloo WI on 06/09/2023 when I stopped at the Waterloo WI BP Station and purchased gas from pump #8. There was one other vehicle on the lot getting gas when I pulled up. This place was the opposite of busy. But, it looked clean. I drove around the lot a bit to due to the fact that several pumps were out of order before selecting pump #8. I pressed the “green,” lowest octane grade three separate times prior to starting the pump. It didn’t act like it was clicking in correctly, but gas started pumping so I assumed the green had indeed clicked in after I pressed it (three times). When the price went over $40.00, I knew something was wrong. When the receipt printed, I had been charged for “gold” at $4.399 per gallon. I went inside the store. Two young men were the only customers inside. They left, and I showed the receipt to the cashier, an elderly male, who immediately started yelling at me say, “If you got gold you punched gold!” I told him that, in fact, I had pressed green three times. He was extremely angry that I had brought this to his attention. I asked if he could check the cameras, that I know they have cameras at the pumps. This would show him what happened. He yelled again, “If you press gold you get gold!” He was basically leaned over the counter and in my face at that point. I asked if there was a manager I could speak with? The man said, “This place is owned by Indians — Indians — you’ll get nowhere!” That didn’t answer my question about the “manager.” His demeanor was becoming a little threatening at this point. So, I left. The elderly man working that Friday evening was obviously ready to attack when I mentioned the gas choice discrepancy leading me to think he probably already knew the pump was out of order, that I likely wasn’t the first customer to complain about the issue, that what we we’re really dealing with, here, was a faulty pump — and a clerk programmed for rage. Gotta tell ya, if BP Gold is really as awesome as the inflated price suggests, it was not reflected in my gas mileage. This ran consistent with the mileage I get purchasing lower octane formulas for a lot less money! I actually think I received the lower octane green formula, but was charged for the higher octane gold at pump #8. But for now, I guess we’ll just let the mystery be?
