FANTASTIC!!! What great place and nicest staff to assist you and tell you about what they have and how they make it.They even took the time to let me try products and explain the differences. We could smell the smoke from them smoking product a half mile away. The best Hungarian sausage I have ever had! I have not tried all that we purchased but I will make this a go to spot for purchasing there products.

Not sure what is better, the steaks or the service. This is a family owned business and it shows in the pride they take in all aspects of the business. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality! Best in the area!

Excellent grilling selection. Great mom & pop (or in this case... Sam, Vinny, & Nikki) butcher & deli shop. Old school feel. Love the smell of fresh smoked sausage when you walk in.

I have been a regular customer for many years. They have outstanding products-4 generations of my family are particularly addicted to the Hungarian Summer Sausage, the many varieties of brats, many smoked meat items, and hand cut to order chops and steaks. There is not a holiday celebration at my home that does not feature something from The House of Home Made Sausage. Sam, Nikki and Vinny are always so helpful and a real pleasure to deal with. They greet you by name and make you feel like a valued customer. I just picked up my order for the holidays, and cannot wait to share it with my guests.

Love their smoked summer sausage. My co-workers and I would order from these folks a few times a year when we would get a hankering for the Hungarian Summer Sausage. We were so so bummed when they stopped shipping since we are in Colorado. Whenever I hear that someone I know is going to WI I beg them to stop by and pick up a few logs for me. They are so delicious.

Terrific fourth generation meat market. They have an excellent selection of fresh meat and sausage products. The smell of the smoked meats is mouth watering.

I recently made my first ever stop at House of Home Made Sausage. WOW!

It is much more than the name implies. Tons of wonderful sounding and looking sausage, but also some of the finest looking meats I've ever seen. Everything looked like it came straight out of a magazine photo shoot. For example, a big hunk of Porterhouse from which I assume they would cut steaks to your specifications.

But even more important as far as I'm concerned ... the people! If the man and woman working on 10/26/19 were not the owners they fooled me, because they sure acted like they were. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, answered all my questions (and some I didn't even think to ask). They made me feel as if I was most important thing that happened to them that day.

Lots of businesses offer great products and present them beautifully, but so very few offer genuinely great service; the surprisingly good service you can't fake, but comes from the heart.

I've been going to this place since I was a child and never 1 time did I have a bad experience. Everything they produce is of top quality but my favorites are the smoked pork chops, Chorizo, and hot pepper sticks/hungarian summer sausage. And they obviously have a good beef supplier because their steaks are of the cleanest, freshest quality steaks I've ever had-consistantly every time. Thanks for keeping the lights on all these years.

We have always been loyal customers because of the authentic and delicious Hungarian sausage amongst other great meats. Yesterday they were closed and we went to Karl’s for the first time. The Hungarian sausage, while not bad, was nowhere near as good as ones from the House of Homemade Sausage. So where did I go to today….you guest it. The one and only House of Homemade Sausage. Now to drop off the ones from Karl’s at work for other people to eat. P.S. the family that owns House of Homemade Sausage are wonderful and very friendly. See you all soon.

Love this place. Simple 1 counter with high quality meat products and sausage/bratwurst that can’t be beat. Friendly service and small operation is the icing on the cake. Highly recommend buying sausage and meat from this small business!

Fantastic smoked sausage especially the Hungarian style. The brats and other meat choices are excellent as well. If you go here expecting to pay chain grocery store prices then you may think they are a little pricey. If you understand that you are getting something different for yourself and others to enjoy, you'll find the selection is great and you will want to come back for more.

Travel there about every 4 weeks. small parking lot.
If you love the smell of smoked meats just open the door and step in. I haven't had anything there that I did not like. Landjagers sold in pairs Lots of beef cut to your thickness. Saturdays are busy closes at 1:00pm owners are awesome. Germantown right off Mequon Road.

Excellent meats here, the amazing aroma from the parking lot does all the selling they need to do.

Friendly staff, and a nice family business. Extremely competitive pricing with top quality meats. There’s no excuse why you shouldn’t buy your meats here.

They’re not 24 hours, 7 Days a week. It’s not a big deal to plan your meals out ahead and buy their meat in advance. They just want to treat their employees well, and it certainly shows through on their products.

Would love to keep this place a secret but I will be nice and share....excellent ! Quality meat selection and choice of home made Hungarians, Italian and Polish sausage to name a few. Just visited week of 12.15.22. New counter layout along with new refrigeration units.

Friendly, knowledgable staff, great selection. Came in right when they opened and they were already busy. Cooking out this afternoon details to come....
Everything was very good, the Hungarians we're not as spicy as we would have liked but still delicious and flavorful. Brats cooked perfectly. The hamburgers we had purchased needed to be packed a little more before the threw them on the grill(we did let them warm up which could have had listened them up), but there isnt a single doubt that they are better than from your grocery store butcher.

I grew up making my own meat and still do at times with my friends. The sausages and specialty meats are of the highest quality. For those that enjoy smoked meats this is the place for you. The prices are not cheap the meats are high quality, those wanting something for nothing will be disappointed. Everyone that I gave a piece of thier meat to has enjoyed it as it is a deer camp staple now. The meat counter is not huge but the choices are many, old world influences tasted in the recipes.

The Hungarian Summer Sausage is the best summer sausage I've ever had. It's somehow even better with venison.
Great fresh brats--my favorites are jalapeno cheddar and mushroom & swiss. I haven't had better bacon.
Excellent steaks cut to order. But here's the kicker--just the nicest people working there. You just want them to do well.
And the smells. They should start selling a fragrance for women. Parfum de saucisse.

Staff is always friendly and happy to answer questions. They are well informed on their products and never rush you with your order. Our favorites include smoked pork chops, chorizo, breakfast porkies, Canadian bacon, salami, summer sausage, polish sausage, sticks. Can't wait for our Easter ham!

This business has been patronized by my parents for years. Now it it has carried on through my sister and I. You cannot get better, more consistent quality and taste. These folks know their stuff and I dearly hope they will stay around for even more years to come!
