The Mad Dog Cafe makes excellent sandwiches and more, and I thoroughly enjoyed The Avalanche. The few bites I had of The Wall were quite tasty - so much so that I almost wish that I had gotten that sandwich instead (next time). Very comfortable atmosphere, and the staff are quite friendly, very helpful, and skilled.

I had a great Roast beef sandwich with Gluten free bread. Varied selection of gourmet sandwiches in the middle of nowhere.

We went for lotto tickets. Line went fast, and the food looked and smelled amazing! Next time, I'm getting a sandwich!

Great place to buy lotto tickets. Well stocked store, a bit pricey on some items, they offer some prepared food.

Absolutely wonderful place! Great people working there and delicious food.
My Favorite so far is their Juniper Breakfast Bagel.
There is so much that they offer here, I’m so happy to have this place in our little community.

Food and coffee were great. Shop was so cute with lots of little things to buy as souvenirs. Wifi was a plus to check in along my drive.

A friendly, clean, place that is popular amongst locals. The breakfast burritos are delicious. A really good small business. It also appears to be the place that everyone buys their lotto tickets.

We've been stopping here for the past 25 years, and summer or winter, I've never been disappointed. I love the warmth of the staff and the sandwiches are delicious.

Grab some chips, a sammie, a drink, and stretch your legs along part of the historic Pony Express route. You won't regret it.

We went to get lottery tickets only to find they are carrying almost a complete line of Stonewall Kitchen sauces, jams. etc. No need to mail order.

Stumbled upon Mad Dog Cafe on a long road trip - desperate for caffeine and restroom facilities we were pleasantly surprised by a large and delicious food menu - soups, deli sandwiches, ice cream to name a few. Friendly employees, a gem on the 88.

Really friendly staff. They let me stay warm for a while after my car broke down and I was waiting for a ride. I only had a bagel with cream cheese but it was above average & the bagel was super soft. The young deli attendant was professional and courteous. Nice store in an old building and a great location for travelers.

Great lunch, coffee, ice cream spot. Especially the lavender latte. Great for getting gifts for friends if you're on vacation. Fun to go here after climbing in Woodfords canyon. Great people here.

An amazing store, with amazing and friendly employees. I have been in the area since 1976. I always go back to this store. One day I will purchase the winning lottery ticket from them. Yeah right lol!

Very nice people. I’m from Tennessee and this was a taste of country and sweet hospitality that I’m use to back home. Old screen doors with fresh air country store and deli is what you are looking for? This is your place.

We had two sandwiches from Mad dog Café today. Mine was ham, black forest ham, and nice and thick and my friend had the turkey. Both were delicious. And if you’d like chocolate chip cookies they were soft and almost doughy, and melted in your mouth.

Great little general store. A variety of standard and gourmet items. Hot and cold sandwiches made to order. Cold beer & wine. You can eat inside or out.
Plus POWERBALL tickets!

I had no idea where the heck this was, so thanks Google for telling me where I was! I did a group ride and this was one of our stops. What a neat little place! I grabbed hot coco to warm up. They had friendly staff and a lot of cool things, many looked to be local foods and such. If you are in the area it is a must for a quick stop! Check them out!

New owners - very nice people, and they really seem to like cyclists. Great deli turkey sandwiches, plus new menu with fancier things like panini. Awesome blackberry muffins, peach pie, and great coffee, too.
