The Bee Store

This was my first time visiting the Bee Store. I was making a gift for a friend & wanted to stick to the “bee happy” or “ queen bee” theme for the gift. I was able to find exactly what I had viewed on their online store. I knew I loved the teas, body scrubs, body lotions, lip balms and honey stirrers for tea. I also found a cute bee mug and spoon to go with what I already had in mind. I REALLY like their packaging on their products. I’m all about presentation and they do not lack in this area. Everything is laid out in the store in a logical way to make it easy to find what you’re looking for. I also got to see the honey bees and ask a few questions to the owner about them. I like to support local small businesses, as I owned my own for many years so I know how important it is. I will be back, for myself next time.

Great place to purchase your bee supplies. From mite treatment to wood products to jackets, I was able to get what I needed. The employees were knowledgeable and very helpful. (This review is based on past experience. I believe there is new ownership and hope that the great experience at the Bee Store continues.)

Love this place! The perfect boutique shop to find fun and unique gifts for family members that are hard to buy for. The soap they sell is amazing as is their skin care products!

Really great curation of honey, mead, soaps, novelty bee themed clothing and gifts. Also a huge section for actual bee keeping tools and garb which is really awesome. Knowledgeable staff. All around good store if you're in the market for bee related things. Oh and theres like an actual bee hive in the store which is kind of incredible to see up close.

I love my SweetSophie Adult Vapor Rub, Muscle & Joint cream and lip balms. Great moisture and vapor relief for nose and lips, and muscle relief after a few hours of yardwork. The best kept secret in Woodbridge VA, truly a hidden jewel of a gift shop. Besides having a huge variety of Mead (HONEY WINE, YUM!!!) They have handmade jams, soaps, lotions, sugar scrubs and lip balms! The store has a lot of jewelry, tee shirts, hats, kids and baby items, scarves and even men"s silk ties all relating to bees. Seems every time I go in they have something new too. They have all the supplies a beekeeper might need including beekeeping classes and the coolest observation hive inside. Great opportunity to show kids honeybees up close.

Fun store! It's got your beekeeping equipment but also fun be themed stuff. Decent book selection.

This store is magical. The owner is very helpful and knowledgeable about bees and local resources to help you start and maintain a hive. They have a hive in the store, any equipment needed, books, t shorts, hats honey and Meade.

First visit to this store and what a wonderful experience. The kind, helpful, and very knowledgeable Lady working in the store was awesome. She offered us the opportunity to attend some training that we could use. Explained and answered all our questions and made some great suggestions. It was like visiting a family members business because we were treated like friends or family. As we have additional needs for our Bees, we will definitely return to The Bee Store. I would not hesitate to recommend them. Beautiful store with so many different and terrific products. Plus it smells so good in there.

Absolutely amazing store! They have an amazing selection of beekeeper supplies and a knowledgeable staff to assist you. There is also plenty for the non-beekeepers! Mead, candles, honey, lotions, soaps, and so much more. Love the Sweet Sophia line of body care products, an fantastic locally owned small business. The hive (safely behind glass) display is fascinating to watch.

This has to be the BEST bee supply store I have been to in all my years of living. I beekeep with my grandfather and I am originally from Tennessee. In East Tennessee so many bee businesses have went under so we have always had to drive pretty far and normally the shops are pretty basic. My grandparents are also not very pro *buy from the internet*. Now that I am living here in Virginia, I told my grandparents I would go check out this shop before my drive to Tennessee. I am so glad that I did! It has everything we needed supply wise, so organized and clean! PLUS things for my bee keepers *wants* like an awesome bee Hawaiian button up and some beautiful jewelry. So many unique items and gifts. The associate helping me was very kind in helping me find things, she let me take my time looking, and even helped me load the hive bodies in my car. Will definitely be back!

What a hidden gem this store is. First, off I really never go behind Tackets Mill.. apparently I should of as I've been missing out. There are a lot of cute little stores behind Tacketts Mill Square.. did anybody ever know this? I didn't...so today I went to an appointment and on my way to the car I saw this cute little store appropriately called to the Bee Store.
Not only is the idea of saving bees heavy on my mind because that is a pressing issue right now, I was intrigued by what could possibly be in the store and WOW was I in for a surprise.
The owner of the store was an extremely nice and helpful young lady who is also a beekeeper. The Store is decorated with Bee items and has a multitude of choices that display bees on them like dish towels and pens, cards and pins and magnets that are handmade, there is beer and syrup. honey and tea..there's really everything that you can possibly think of with bees on it socks and key chains everything and very exquisitely done I might add. Some cute and trendy T shirts for everyone and gift ideas. Especially now with fall soon approaching or bitrhdays. In addition to this the store has its very own apiary . It really is incredible to see how the bees make honey and how fascinating it is for bees to come in-and-out of to make honey it was truly amazing. The owner took the time to explain to me how the bees make honey and who the Queen Bee was. I was absolutely delighted with everything. I can't wait to go back to buy so many other items. It is a definite must see in the Woodbridge area.

This is a lovely local business with the friendliest and informed staff. They have everything you could need from bee garden needs to toiletries and honey based treats. Very well stocked and new items frequently. Highly recommend stopping in and trying some their products.

I made a pledge to myself to purchase as many holiday gifts as possible from local businesses this year. The Bee Store was the perfect spot to find some unique gifts!

I placed an order online during their Black Friday special for several Sweet Sophia Honey Jams and when I went to pick them up, I found lip balms and lip balm holder key chains to check a few more recipients off my list. The jam flavors and lip balm flavors offered were plentiful and there's really something for everyone.

Looking forward to stopping in again soon to get a closer look at everything the Bee Store has to offer. Great addition to Tackett's Mill and Woodbridge shopping!

Staff is so kind, friendly and helpful. The space is tidy and will organized! A lot of useful AND cute items for sale. And don't forget the local honey! This is our first year keeping bees and we are very excited to have such a great store close to home.

What a find. We need more unique boutique's like this in an area that is boringly corporate and sameness. Wonderful Bee related items. The honey is terrific and I did check it was from local bees. Some very clever curating of Bee and insect related products. Check out the aprons -delightful - but my wife is just too small for everything. Getting together with neighbors to see the interest in a shared hive now I know where to get supplies and equipment. A fun store indeed. Love Bees!

This store is our go-to for buying honey (It's all the buzz. The bee's knees. Sorry, I couldn't help it - LOL). Very friendly and helpful staff. It is really cool that they have a live hive inside the store and they they sell beekeeping supplies and other various products made from honey and beeswax such as soaps, candles and bee-themed novelty gifts. They also sell Mead wine made from local and specialty honey-wine vendors.

Really cute gift shop. Knowledgable staff, taught me about the Russian bees they have there. Cute gifts, honey, and honey mead! Enjoyed the chat.

This is probably the coolest find ever in Northern Virginia!

They have all the beekeeping supplies any Northern Virginia beekeeper could possibly want.

Not only that, you can get local honey there and they have a bunch of gift items and handmade things that all deal with bees!

The owner is especially nice and knowledgeable when it comes to beekeeping and they even host classes there.

The coolest thing there was probably the observation hive they are getting ready to put bees in. It is an actual bee hive you can look in on and see the bees doing their thing!

Great spot. Great customer service and even greater honey!
