Half Price Books

This Half Price Books feels a lot larger than other HPB locations in the NW suburbs. We always find something to bring home with us and can spend upwards of an hour here going up and down every shelf and aisle. Sometimes if you look hard enough you'll find some great deals. The "collectible" section is in the center of the store (instead of when you first walk in) and is always packed with a lot of interesting looking materials. There's tons of parking outside and the shopping center is pretty easy to get in and out of.

What an amazing book store!! So many fun books, a huge range of genres, plus fun items, and a very large section of beautiful and very affordably priced blank journals. Do not pass up this store <3

Very welcoming environment and feast for the eyes. Love shopping there. There's something for everyone.

Love it! Great store, a very calm and relaxing atmosphere inside. Clean and organized very well. The employees are always doing something (in a good way!). It would be great if they had an area where we can listen to records before purchasing them - I think it would add to the atmosphere and make it more enjoyable!

Especially because I wanted to purchase an AC/DC record that was labeled as having a scratch on it (of course on the best song in that album), I wanted to listen to see how bad it was, but the gentleman said there were no record players to listen to it on- so I didn't buy it unfortunately.

This place is better than the library. It's a goldmine for book lovers. I now check here first for what I need, before ordering from Amazon. Wish I had done this years ago.

It was my first time visiting Half Price Books. I loved walking in and seeing so many books, movies, CDs and much more. The staff was friendly and helpful and the energy in the store felt great. I found what I was looking for, which had to do with photography. I also saw books about Buddhism which I enjoy reading and learning about. The prices are very affordable. I am old school so to hold a book in my hand what's the greatest feeling. I will for sure go back and I will recommend this bookstore to all those who love to read. Five stars!

Great book store with lots of used books. Plenty of cds and music selection available as well.

The kind of place you can get lost in. That's the kind of bookstore this is. A welcoming place where you can walk in with food (smaller items) and pets, and browse through a nice collection of books, movies, DVDs, CDs and many other cool items that I didn't even have the time to get to, because they have so much. And the prices are so reasonable, it'd be hard to leave without buying something. I'd definitely recommend visiting to get lost in that good book, with some of the few places to sit and read or find something you didn't know you were looking for.

Wonderful selection here, and a very large store in a beautiful area. Floored by this HPB; easily the best in Illinois.

This half-price book seems to be a very big half price bookstore, their staff is very friendly also if they're not able to answer your questions they are more than willing to ask someone else who maybe more knowledgeable in whatever questions you may have, not only do they have books of course they have movies DVDs anime they do have a very nice extensive manga section they even have a back wall that is full of clearance books and movies which is pretty awesome You sometimes find some good stuff for example they have game of thrones the complete series or seasons. Overall this store is actually organized clean and neat and you can find things that you're looking for relatively easy.

You get exactly what you expect. Great books at an amazing value.

I loved the selection of books and CDs. It was fun to browse the comics and games too. I spent a couple hours here and didn't feel like I saw everything. The staff was friendly, too.

Lots of books new and used, Great choices of DVD's. Staff helpful and friendly. However, donate your books to your library. Give very little money.

COMIC READERS PLEASE READ: Bloomingdale doesn't put stickers directly on their comics and even bag and board their $.50 comics.

This is the only Half Price Books I genuinely like. I'll check out the collectible comic boxes at other stores but that's it. Incredibly nice staff as well.

Definitely a gem in the suburbs! Some new and some used books, movies and music to purchase at "Half Price"! Got some good reads for good deals already. Highly recommended for those on a budget looking to indulge in some good ol'fashion entertainment! Plus, they've got some collectors' items worth taking a look at if it's part of your M.O.

This location is fantastic! I have been to more than a few HPB locations and this one was one of the best. The store is physically large and their stock matches the footprint of the store. Tons of neat gaming things and other collectibles. The staff is fantastic, super kind and fun to chat with.

I spend too much money there. CDs, DVDs and books. Sometimes Laser Discs, 8-Track tapes and audio cassettes.

They have a load of rare finds there. My youngest son and I go often. My whole childhood comes flooding back. My son is 8 years old. I'm teaching him of all of the vintage games that came out when was younger than him.
And as for the books.... if they don't have it , they can get it. The prices are pretty good too.
