I love the convenience of a local hardware shop with knowledgeable staff and quality products. I might pay a couple bucks more than larger chains but it is well worth it for the convenience, customer service, and great selection of specialty items not found elsewhere especially in exact quantities. I highly recommend.

So I drive a tiny car and I pull up to the Gilroy’s and there is an older employee outside. I get out my car and he asked me what he could help me with and I told him I needed to 60 inch kitty pools for my ducks. He knew right away that the pools aren’t going to fit in my car or if we tried that they were going to fly out. He was nice enough an offer to drive them to my house I live five minutes away from the store and even though he did not have to offer he did it anyways. I tried to give him some gas money and he told me no thank you that he only lived a couple miles away as well.
For me it comes down to he went out of his way to help a customer (outside of business hours) when he didn’t have to! By far one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had this guy deserves a raise!

Gil-roys is always well stocked. The employees are knowledgeable and extremely helpful every time I go in. The Swartz Creek location has a Stihl showroom and all of their locations have a ton of Yeti products.

Clean well organized and knowledgeable staff. Some might be a little to helpful. The prices of items are pretty comparable to the big home centers. Save a trip to the big box stores and try them out first.

Very nice and helpful employees that always help me find things for my projects and repairs around the house. They have about anything you would ever need. I buy bolts, screws, nails, special tools, plumbing, electrical supplies and deck stain just to name a few.

very helpful, needed a large amount of hand sanitizer for my place of business, not only did they have it in stock, but they had 3 different sizes we were able to get case pricing on.

The owner is a Great guy who loves the Lord and conducts all his business in a kind and curtious manner. He has been in the retail ,hardware field for 2 decades that I know off. I wonder if there is anything he doesn't know ?

Great service, always available to help if you have a question or need assistance. But they also let you shop. (Sometimes you like to wander around and look at stuff.)

I love this store. The people are friendly and helpful. If they do not have it, they will look it up and get it for you. The Manager is the most helpful if you have a problem finding anything ever they will find it for you. ++++
