Alcove Thrift Shop

Some of these reviews seem to be from when Alcove was at their former location but I am writing this review since they moved to Risley Square in Galloway. I am an AVID thrifter, perhaps to a fault. This is by far my favorite in the area! Though it’s small, it’s so easy to sift through items. I have found everything from a folding lap tray to a beautiful pair of heels for a wedding to a Halloween decorative tray. The staff are mostly volunteers and they are so lovely and helpful. They use CLOVER app so you get $5 off every $50 spent. Love Alcove! And their mission!

Fantastic staff and always something new to pick up! Great Cause as well….my children would not be the successful adults they are now without the Alcove after their father passed away when they were 8 and 9 years old. I owe them so much.

Decent selection. I got a beautiful poncho and dog training item. Additional COVID precaution includes providing plastic gloves for those browsing - much appreciated.

I loved this place and they had some really nice things. They only downside is they do not take credit cards and I never carry cash. So I always end up at another thrift store.

Seemed super pricey for a thrift store in the area.

I comply with the state as to wearing a mask, but this does not allow individuals to set their own rules in place exceeding what is mandatory. as i walked in i was told it is mandatory to wear gloves in their store that was provided. I said no thank you. so therefor I was was than harassed with nasty and sarcastic treatment ! insistent on wearing plastic gloves ! this is not a state ordnance nor will I fall into the fear of having to do so. never going back ! or donating anything again to them

Pricey, musty smell, not much variety..dusty/ dirty.
You will get better buys at TJ Max
