American Eagle & Aerie Store

American Eagle has a new storefront in Barracks Road, complete with a new adjoining Aerie store. The new space is wonderful and offers a much nicer shopping experience. Employees in both stores were so nice! We were able to get some great deals. The stores are so clean and organized, even after the holiday rush. We will definitely be back.

Such an awesome customer experience! Not only were Hailey, Greg, and Kendal extremely personable; they went ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure I found some great fits. They asked all the right questions to make sure they understood my style so they could make suggestions that I ended up loving. It was refreshing to see how they worked together to make sure not only myself, but everyone in the store was being taken care of! Love this location!

Worked with Zoe on a Saturday of crazy holiday shopping. She was so helpful getting all my AE rewards to work together. This store is well stocked, clean, and organized and whatever they don't have they are super happy and helpful in ordering it for you! Would shop here any time and thank you Zoe for the help and patience!

I want to start by saying I was not aware until recently that American Eagle had plus size clothing. I have not been in an American Eagle since I was a teenager. I took a shot at it and went to AE at barracks rd. I was a bit apprehensive walking in, and wanted to walk back out the minute I stepped inside because of my own insecurities. I am battling with my body right now, and am very critical of my self and my weight. I was greeted by someone, and I told her I was looking for jeans. She asked Zoe to help me. She was a real delight in this moment for me. She took me around the store explaining the different fits and sizes.. even having to go up 1 size than I initially had thought, I was still pleased. I found 3 pairs of perfect pants while in Zoe’s hands and had I had more time… I probably would have bought much more. For me this experience is more than the awesome sale that she made…. Its personal for me. She took time with me, and made me feel good in my skin. I hate clothes shopping, I hate trying stuff on and Zoe made it a much better experience for me than I’m used to. That girl needs a raise! In addition if you are a size 14-18 or even larger and struggle to find good jeans … RUN to AE and find ZOE!!!

Nediea was so friendly and welcoming as soon as I entered the store! I’ve been dreading going to buy new clothes since I’ve put on a bit of weight during the pandemic this year, but Nediea made me feel very comfortable and confident in the clothes I tried on! Chels was also very kind and helpful! They both deserve a raise! Such pleasant employees, I’ll definitely be back!! 😍

The ladies working there were so friendly and helpful. Kendall and Lorena were so nice and helped me in the fitting room and checkout. So glad they’re at Barracks now. The fitting rooms were also really nice and clean, love this new location!

What can I say....these are the only underwear my son's will wear!

I had a great experience here. Hayley and all of the other girls working were super friendly and very thorough with helping me find what I was looking for. Would highly recommend.

I love it! It doesn't carry anything for men in this though.

Dudes beware - THERE ARE NO MENS CLOTHES HERE. Ridiculous. There's virtually nowhere to shop for decent men's clothes in Charlottesville aside from stuff like 'Bunkleby and Mallow Old Man Preppy Clothes'. And Walmart.

I'm giving three stars because the staff was nice enough at least, and sympathetic to the fact that there's no men's section.

I was just going for a quick peek and Danielle at the door held me up and even asked me what my purpose was at the store. Sorry if I’m not necessarily going to buy anything, but I definitely will not after that unnecessary encounter. Talk about putting off customers.

The staff are not very courteous. They also have no mens clothing at all. When we walked in we were never greeted or spoken to, even though there were 5 or more employees working. I had gotten two feet away from one employee looking at the jeans and not one time did anyone ask if we needed help. Then when we were waiting at the counter a woman walked up and was just standing at the register and I literally had to ask if she was ready for me. It was a very unwelcoming experience. I also had to let the cashier know she rang up my items wrong and it deducted over 40 dollars off my total.
