Curmudgeon Book Store

Just a very interesting and unique bookstore. Has a lot of rare finds if you take the time to search. Has a robust collection of comics, vinyl records, DVD, toys etc. Great experience just wandering the isles and looking at the displays, we love getting our books from here. Also a great area inside the mall, right outside the bookstore that you can just sit to read or work on the computer. Very peaceful and relaxing.

This place is a “destination bookstore.” I go out of my way to come here when traveling from Baltimore. This place might not (and likely won’t) have all the titles on your list. However, you’re guaranteed to find many great surprises here. This place is like a Barnes & Noble with super-low prices. I’ve also found the staff to be helpful when needed. Also, the 1980’s throwback mall that looks like it’s straight out of Stranger Things is an added bonus!

Independent book store. Lots of unusual things so you can always find something different. Everything that is used is in good condition, but they also have lots of new things.

I love this place. A great selection of books, mostly used. They also have vinyl records, CDs, and other things. I have never found a used bookstore with such a large selection of graphic novels and comics. The prices are very reasonable. I'll be coming here regularly.

Calling children of the ‘80’s and ‘90’s! Relive the fun with Pokemon cards and calendars, Beanie Babies, and tons of books for all ages. Cozy space has inviting displays and relaxed atmophere for browsing.

Very affordable new and used books. Also has a nice children's toy selection and greeting cards. Very kind service.

It may LOOK like a big-box bookstore, but this is a pure family-run operation so if you want to support local, add this shop to your list! Amazing book selection (it's hard to distinguish the used books from the new!), hundreds of LPs, CDs, and DVDs, and lots of gifts. It truly is a one-stop shop. My son left with an Alexander Hamilton puzzle. He was thrilled! So much to see at great prices! Definitely give them a try!

It is a beautiful bookstore. We were blessed with live performances and local authors can possibly have the opportunity to sell their books in the store! Met the owner and he mingled with the audience. Lots of books and toys and gadgets! A true reader's delight!

If you haven't been by Marley Station Mall recently this book store will give you a reason to do so. They have everything from comic books to the classics. Toys, games, gifts in addition to DVD's and LP vinyl. I know you can shop online, but there is a wonder to this place that can't be denied. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

So far so good. I've only gone in a couple of times and each time, I wasn't able to stay as long as I'd have liked. I like browsing their old (used) records.

I love this store. There is a great selection of new and used books. They have manga, graphic novels, LP's and CD's as well.

The staff are generally nice and most are helpful and informative. I have had friendly interactions with staff and other customers.

They also buy used books if they're in good condition but the buyer is only in on Sunday.

Wish I'd taken pictures. I plan on going back. They are located inside Marley Station. A BOOK LOVER'S DREAM! Every genre you can think of and even old VHS & albums & stuff in the back. I didn't have enough time in there; was about to see a movie soon but I can't wait to go back and pick some books & things out. They've got cards, stuffed animals, t-shirts, all types of stuff for everyone of any age from young to old. But caution: It's a bit overwhelming (in a good way) because there is so much cool sh*! Anyway. Do Go! 👍✌

Found this place by accident. Amazing store! They had good live music and the prices are very reasonable. What a hidden treasure! Good job!

Great selection of books. Great staff. Nicely organized and displayed.

WAY larger than the last location next door. Increased selection too.
Only thing they need now is picnic tables for those of us who could spend all day browsing (and often nearly have).

Great little spot, owner was very kind and helpful. For a smaller store I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of used books and all reasonably priced, including hardback books. Lots of things to touch and see for grabby kids that can see the toy store across the way!
