Blue Pelican Gallery Gifts & Yarn

I really enjoyed shopping at this gift shop. It was a joy to explore and see all of the unique and local gifts. My favorite finds were the two in the pictures. One was a pendant with sand from Hatteras Island and plastic that has been recovered from the ocean. The other contains sands from all seven continents. I got them as gifts and I'm sure the recipients will love them.

I never miss a visit to Blue Pelican when we go to OBX. I love the handmade items for sale, the atmosphere, the folks....and the fur babies! The yarn is wonderful....wish I did that sort of needlework. Pretty awesome place!

Lovely art gallery and yarn store with both knitting and crocheting supplies. It's in a house with a nice parking lot not difficult to find in Hatteras. There are a lot of artists work on display in many types of media including clay, wood, glass and textiles. Was surprised by the good choice of yarns and threads available as well adds knitting and crocheting tools. You are welcome to wear a mask but it's not required. A very nice stop once we saw the Cape Hatteras lighthouse! Well worth a stop!

Yarn!!!! Oh my goodness it was great to find this yarn store on our vacay in Hatteras. I even found driftwood needles.

First of all, the gallery has a yellow lab shop dog. That's usually a good indication that the owner is cool. Second of all, the selection of locally made art was an eclectic mix of fine to funky. I highly recommend you stop here if you're in the OBX area. I'll definitely stop in again.

The man running the place is one of the most congenial people I’ve met this year and my daughter was able to pet her first dog, the owner’s Labrador, Mabel - whose calm demeanor was a reflection of the friendly atmosphere in the store. A nice change of pace from all the frantic traveling. Highly recommend.
The contributions from local artists were great and my wife was enthralled by the selection that was available.

I wanted a picture for my bathroom with a little rustic quality and I found it here! I love this picture because it is unique, hand done, signed, and beautiful! So many other unique gifts here too! If you are looking for something special while you are visiting the Outer Banks, go here you won't be disappointed!

Wonderful shop stocked with amazing and unusual yarns, patterns and LOTS more; helpful staff and a gathering of knitters/crocheters, as well as tutors/helpers to offer advice.......

Interesting local art, fair pricing, lots of unsual local jewlery and big yarn selection. A must stop.

We felt so welcomed by the fine folks at Blue Pelican. There is a wide selection of unique gifts, decor, jewelry and crafts. We enjoyed meeting Mabel and Sadie—best dogs ever! We also had a great time chatting with the store owners.

If you’re looking for something other than the typical beach souvenir found in the chain tourist spots then visit Blue Pelican. Lots of well-curated, locally-made pottery and jewelry, as well as yarn and unique embroidery and knitting kits.

This unique shop has a variety of interesting gift items from artisan jewelry to spices to beautiful yarn. One of the best parts is being greeted by Mabel and her sister Sadie! I will absolutely return to Blue Pelican on my next visit to Hatteras.

Love this gallery/shop. Lots of great local arts, perfect for gifts OR home decor. The yarn selection is also amazing. I especially love the knitting and crochet kits they've put together with good yarn, patterns, and needles. The jewelry and other handmade items are beautiful. The place is also so gorgeous and local. Just where I want to look and shop!

Lynn was very friendly and helpful. They have a diverse assortment and everything is very fairly priced. Beautiful pieces and souvenirs.

This is a place worth visiting if you are looking for a gift for someone and the merchandise ranges in price, so there is something for everyone! Plan on spending more than 10 minutes in this place... so much to see! Very friendly staff, welcoming environment, and it exceeded expectations.

Beautiful and varied selection of gifts, yarn, jewelry and more! We loved looking around this shop, purchasing some soft yarn, and saying hi to the friendly dogs. Definitely worth a visit to this shop!
