New Balance

Upon entering we were greeted by the staff. The staff was very friendly and very helpful with our needs. They had a good selection of shoes along with apparel. The store was very organized and clean. Cody, one of the employees went up and above when helping us. Wife bought a pair of shoes and a cap. Definitely will return to this location.

This New Balance store is located in a shopping area in the Hilltop section of Virginia Beach near the corner of Republic Rd. and First Colonial Rd. There is ample parking in the area, but they do not have any restrooms at this store, so make sure to do your business before visiting if you need to. My visit here was on October 6, 2021.

I was in the market at the time for a new pair of shoes to use at the recreation center, as I do tend to use the elliptical and some other things frequently there. I wanted something that would be a great fit for that.

After entering the store, there were two people working there at the time, so it was just a few minutes before the worker was able to come over to me, after finishing with another client in the store. Once one of them were done, they came over. I can't remember her name, but she was great to work with. She asked me what type of shoes I wanted and then went from there. We went over a few different kinds, and finally found one that fit me well. She first did a sizing and then went from there. In this case, the only difference in sizing for me was a wide (E) version instead of a regular (D) version. The E version did fit much better than the regular version.

Overall, this was a great experience and I did end up purchasing the shoes that she suggested, including the E size after trying them on and walking with them on in the store first. The fit was perfect, and it wasn't popping up in the back while walking and such too. This was a great experience overall and one of the best experiences I have had at any shoe store. I've never had anyone go to that detail to make sure the shoes were a perfect fit for me. I will totally come back here in the future when I need another pair in the future. If you are currently in the market for shoes, you definitely need to give this New Balance location a chance to serve you. Yo won't be disappointed.

After a foot injury, my doctor told me to buy New Balance sneakers. I haven't worn sneakers in thirty years. I got the wrong ones. They have a guarantee. I took them up on it and tried on virtually every style in my size. Found a pair that is much more comfortable. What I found amazing was that the young man who worked there was extremely knowledgeable and ever so nice. They took my first pair back and will donate them. Someone will get a free pair of gently used shoes. I'll be back in six months for a new pair.

I’ve been purchasing shoes from them for the last 2-3 years for work. Never have had a problem except during the lockdown when supply chain issues affected their inventory. But the staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating.

I had a wonderful experience at this store compared to other shoes stores. Astrid was so nice and helped me find the perfect pair of shoes even though I was running her back and forth from the back to check sizes. Definitely come here for great service and very high quality shoes!

After departing from my old pair of shoes (4 years - Nike) I've been searching for weeks at different stores trying to find the perfect pair of shoes for my feet (close to flat). After listening to my issues Nick gave me a few options and explained them all in clear detail. The very first pair he handed me were perfect. From the moment I walked in to me leaving with my shoes it only took about 15 minutes. Thank you very much Nick!

Nick is the best shoe salesperson I have ever had the pleasure to meet! I have extremely flat feet and no arches so shoe shopping has always been difficult and I havent gotten sound advice on proper shoes in about 12 years. Immediately after walking into the store, Nick spotted exactly what my issue was and recommended several shoes with the best support. He was very accommodating and was sure not to push any particular product on me, instead recommending I go with what felt best to me. He even called a different business to see if they had a particular shoe I liked in stock. I ended up choosing one of Nick's recommendations and it has suited me much better than any previous shoes. I highly recommend a visit to this New Balance if you want the best and healthiest shoe for you.

Not a huge selection of shoes, but after searching for over 2 months for a pair of running shoes, I found a pair I really liked. And, they were on sale.
Salesman was a little standoff ish at first, but warmed up once I asked for a particular shoe.
Would recommend this place. Will be back....

Staff was amazing. Im currently in M880’s and the rep gave me multiple options. That included NB online, switching to other brands that Ive run in, and another local running store if they didn’t have the color of shoe I liked currently in the store.

Talk about NO PRESSURE!! I like those options, but I like your concern for my comfort over a sale better!!

For that, I’ll buy here with you again and again!

I haven't had such a great experience at a store in such a long time since being in Virginia. Nick went above and beyond to assist a mom and child. My child is awkward and well so am I, Nick is personable and more than accommodating. And honest! Great experience, I will be back. My kid loves his shoes. Guess I'm switching from Nikes now.

Great staff at this store. Knowledgeable and friendly. Found the exact shoe I wanted and special ordered the new color. I was called right away when they came in. Location wise it is tucked back a bit in hilltop but definitely worth the stop.

To the salesperson I spoke with on the phone 4/17/2021 - thank you for your help although I didn’t go into the store. I was on a quest to find wide shoes for boys. We had been to several rack room shoes, dsw, and the entire Norfolk premium outlets. I was tired. I called to ask if they had wide shoes for boys. He checked the shelves. The man said they didn’t have any in stock currently but he gave me the product numbers to check out online. This was more help than I received face to face at any of the stores mentioned above.

Beth was FABULOUS! She asked specific questions about the shoes I was looking for, measured me and explained the subtle differences between shoe models. I got shoes that fit better than any I have had in 10 years!! She even re-laced them so that I had NO SQUEEZE in trhe center (which is always a problem for my 'tall' feet).
I will definitely come back to the store for her expertise and friendliness. Beth needs recognition for her excellent customer service!! I was in and out in no time!

Very kind staff. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. Employees gave me space and time to browse the inventory before asking if I needed help. It is nice to not feel rushed or pressured. The lady helping me was very knowledgeable about the shoes they offer and their pronation type. When she went to look for my size she brought out multiple style shoes not just one for me to try. Will defiantly go back.

Staff was extremely helpful! Ed helped my husband try on shoe after shoe to find something that worked the best. He was knowledgeable and friendly and found something that was perfect. My husband had a knee injury and having the correct kind of shoe had made all the difference, thanks to Ed!

Thank you Joe! I brought my mom in today for a pair of shoes that would fit over her knee, ankle, foot orthotic (kafo). Joe was so patient,helpful, understanding and attentive to our needs. We went through boxes and boxes of different sizes and styles until we finally found the right size and shoe. He never slowed or tried to persuade us that none would fit. On top of all the running back and forth to the stock room, he managed to get us a discount which was extremely helpful when you have to buy 6 pairs! (We needed two different shoe sizes for each pair. Again hats off to Joe and New Balance. I will recommend this store to everyone I know and don't know!

great place! i came in because my old shoes i wear everyday were wore out and very uncomfortable. the gentleman working fixed me right up with the next model up from the pair i was wearing. I was talking to him about getting blisters on my toes no matter what and he suggested the mostiure wicking cotton free socks. I purchased a six pack of the socks with my shoes, came home and put my workout shoes on with the socks and did 45 minutes on treadmill. no blisters or irritation! :) great service everyone should check out this place.

The staff here are always very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. It's always a pleasure getting new shoes. There's never a rush, and never any pressure. If you haven't tried them yet, it's worth the trip.

In a time when the younger generation does bare minimum at their jobs this New Balance store is doing above and beyond the call of duty and I'm very impressed.GREAT JOB GUYS IM OROUD OF YOU.

Very knowledgeable, Great customer service, was greeted when we first walked in...I only went in to find myself some good supportive working shoes and came out buying my husband two pair of sneakers as well lol. I will be back to this location to get some more shoes....not such a big selection of sneakers but overall it had what I needed so that’s all that matters to me
