Goodwill of Greater Washington Retail Store

Deceptively big, and extremely well organized! So many clothes, HomeGoods, and furniture to choose from. I was specifically looking for patio furniture and didn’t find what I needed but had a good time walking around and looking at all the inventory.

The donation line is always long and slow. Wish people would unload faster especially when there's a line. Some employees are nice and some should stay home instead if going to work.

I haven't been here in a long time. I stopped by to find some books and so happy that I did. First of all, the employees there are so helpful and polite. I got lucky and found 2 books, one of which I was looking for. Hardcover books are $2.59, what a great deal!! This store is very well organized and even with a lot of stuff, it still looks spacious. It is a significant improvement from my last visit many years ago. They have lots of clothes, and they look clean from looking as I was walking passed them. I didn't shop for anything but books. They accept donations which are dropped off in the back of the building, and the drop off dates and time is posted outside the drop off area. They also take credit cards which is super convenient. I will start returning more often to look for books.

Huge location. Very organized with a large inventory. We found several excellent deals. A lambskin leather jacket for about $15 and a brand-name rolling computer bag that would normally cost hundreds of dollars for a mere $10. I'd been looking for one for months and hadn't found anything I wanted to afford. This suited me perfectly.

It was not busy. Excellent location. Eady to park. I've been bringing donations to this location for about 15 years but never went in. Now I know better.

Nice place to just check things out. Hard working people. Lots of people with limited budget shop. Very nice about accepting donations and they always say thank you. Some comments on this store is unfair. It is a good will store, not sure if some think they are going to Macys or some fancy shop. Economy is not great, we should support the store so others with limited budget who want to live with honer and respect can have more choices. Thank you Goodwill for providing choice and a place to come on Sunday afternoon.

Very friendly staff and wide selection! Items are constantly being stocked on the floor as you shop. Sometimes the checkout line gets long, but everyone is trying their best.

These people are generally nice, kind and helpful. Such a shame Goodwill so often gets overlooked.

Been here again recently and witnessed how quick and professional the staff members were; someone had a (medical) emergency and in no time the ambulance was on site. The two staff members were making sure the person was safe and comfortable - all the meantime the store was operating as normal, assuring all of us things are under control.

The employees here are very nice. I've found some great bargains on things here. I found a cozy winter coat for this year. An Adidas down jacket from the early 2000s. It's so warm! The store is well organized. Sometimes the music is played too loudly here though and sometimes it is just way too crowded with shoppers.

Clean, well organized. Person checking in and out number of people. Hand sanitizer available at door. 6 foot markers outside and at checkout. Directional signs on ground inside. We felt very safe here. Drop off donations were outside around back.

I loved this thrift store!! I found so many things!! Although I didn’t find what any sweatshirts (which was what I was looking for) I did find some SUPER comfy sweatpants in the guys section. I’m so exited to go back! I didn’t have much time to look through the shoes because there were a lot of people in that area so when I go back I will be sure to check them out!!

This is the best stocked Goodwill in the area. There are always very nice furniture, clothing and shoes to choose from. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The recent reorganization of the store makes it easy to browse and move your cart around.

Clean, organized, friendly staff. Had a good experience at this location. Also, I’ve dropped off donations before and they are very quick, you just drive around back and they help you unload.

I went into goodwill looking for some specific items for a function for the weekend. I found a lady working, and she helped me as best as she could. The employees were fantastic, and I am definitely going back!

Great store, always finding that little 'something', good prices, of course, but good selection and wonderful service, I can't say enough about the friendly staff!!! Always ready to help or carry something for me!!!

A solid Goodwill experience. I went to donate and walked around the store a bit.
The donation center is around back and easily accessible. Parking can be an issue depending on the time of day.

This a great store - the people who work in the store are knowledgable, helpful and friendly ..... despite the overwhelming amount of work they must do to keep the shelves and racks stocked. I absolutley love this store.

Picked out some furniture here, staff was exceptionally helpful in helping me get it loaded into my rental truck. Will certainly go back here if I'm in the area again.
