Valbona Pass

We visited recently during our Theth to Valbone hike. Absolutely stunning place and breathtaking views. 100% worth the effort, despite hiking in mid 30°C heat. Lots of water sources on the way. Unforgettable experience.

Super intense hike. 2-3 hours climbing with extreme slope. But for those who enjoy hiking they will enjoy it. Views throughout the hike uptil the very top are breathtaking. View from top is totally worth it. There is a cafeteria at around 2/3 of the way. Very cool prices and drinks.

Very nice hike. Make sure you bring some extra food and water for the sweet dogs on the top of the mountain!!! There is no food and water for them there

great hike not difficult but strenuous as it is quite steep, make sure to come up another couple minutes above the pass sign for even more rewarding views

Really nice trail from Valbone to Theth. Almost 6hrs of hiking up the Mountain from
Valbone and down to Theth.
Good for beginners of you are able to hike for 6hours with a backpack.

Valbona Pass is one of the best trail points in the world. It is located in the middle of the Valbonë-Theth trail.

Freaking amazing place! One of the greatest things I've done in Albania. Be aware to take appropriate clothes, food & water during the climbing/descending:)

Un lugar idílico, vistas increíbles. La ruta dependiendo de dónde te alojes entre 15-20 km de distancia. Desde theth a valbona tienes unos 1000m de subida y 850m de bajada. Hay varios puntos donde puedes pararte a descansar, comer e incluso dos “bares” para tomar algo. Es una ruta de intensidad moderada pero sin pasos arriesgado, muy bien indicada en todo momento.

Schöne, sehr abwechslungsreiche Wanderung über ca. 1000 Höhenmeter mit teilweise längeren steilen Abschnitten. Unsere Gehzeit vom Tal in Theth (Brücke) bis zum Gipfel Betrug gute 2,5 Stunden inkl.kleiner Trinkpausen. Bei Angst vor Hunden sollten sie die Strecke meiden: uns begleiteten einige Hunde vom Tal hinauf und oben am Gipfel versammelten sich mehrere.
Hinweise: unbedingt den markierten Weg nehmen, beginnend vom Nordwesten Theths beim Ortsteil Gjelaj. Die auf Google Maps angezeigte alternative Route „Logu i Kishes“ im Südosten von Theth Richtung Nanrreth ist nicht beschildert. Es gibt zwar teilweise Wegmarkierungen, die aber irgendwann aufhören bzw. durchgestrichen sind und nicht zum Gipfel führen! Werde den Fehler ohnehin demnächst bei Google melden.

Impresionantes vistas. A un poco menos de mitad de camino entre teth y valbona. Desde teth se tarda unas 2 horas a buen ritmo y sin parar. Hay un refugio unos 40 minutos antes de llegar donde poder tomar algo caliente o frío. A la derecha, antes de cruzar el paso hay una subida donde se accede a varios miradores sobre las peñas

Trasa dosyć trudna, po drodze piękny las bukowy. Widoki po drodze przepiękne. Przy lipcowym upale trasa z Theth zajęła nam - całkowitym amatorom, 4 godziny w jedną stronę. Było warto, polecam!

Horské sedlo s nádherným a rozsáhlým výhledem do dvou různých údolí. Cesta do sedla nám s dětmi 6 a 8 let trvala cca 4 hodiny, zpět do Thethu 3 hodiny. Dá se pokračovat do Valbone a lodí se vrátit zpět.
