We did a night hike tour with Jan

All booked over WhatsApp conversation. Very helpful, not the easiest place to find (deep in the rainforest) but the instructions were clear and straightforward, so got there without any trouble.

Greeted on time and hike began. We were shown multitude of creatures including 4/5 different types of snakes, spiders, frogs, scorpions, centipedes, millipedes, crickets, grasshoppers, freshwater fish and crayfish to name a few!

The hike was approximately 3.5 hours, but this can be flexibly longer or shorter as it’s very relaxed.

We got to handle a snake and a few frogs.

This was one of the highlights of our 2 weeks in Costa Rica and we are both SO glad we booked it!

Jan so hospitable, he took us up to his house for a drink and a pancake his wife had made whilst we waited for a heavy downpour to settle downs before we set off again!

True jungle..... we spent here two nights and I can absolutely recommend this place. In the night you can hear animals, , observe stars and to be swallowed by nature. If you like animals, you have to try night walk with John.
You are sleeping in the jungle without windows, but you are feeling here really safety. I will not forget this place long time.

When looking at the pictures of that place i was pretty sure that I’d enjoy staying there.
When I arrived after the muddy 20 min hike I was blown away!
What a truly special place in the middle of the jungle without any people passing by that could interrupt that state you get in once you’ve come down and realised you’ve just found paradise.
The only visitors might be parrots, toucans, aras, monkeys, frogs etc. which you can watch with a telescope right from the terrace.

This is a “back to the roots” experience with the right amount of luxury: relaxing hammocks, beautiful outside shower, kitchen basics (with great knives) and a comfortable bed with a solid mosquito net.

This house has no windows.
We totally loved that detail. It’s different to what we were used to. You might feel more exposed to nature than usual, but this is what this house is about. Sleeping in and waking up to the sounds of animals.
Disconnecting from society and soaking in that green, lush environment you’re surrounded by.

This place is heaven on earth. I spent a couple of nights in the midst of this pristine life bursting jungle. The forrest noises were just wonderful. I liked in particular the howler monkies waking me up in the mornings. I spottet green macaws, different kinds of monkies, dart frogs, snakes and lots of other birds and animals.
The host, Jan and his lovely family, were so kind and I enjoyed the guided night hikes. We even found a bushmaster snake! Can't wait to go back!! ♧

Fantastic place, really in the jungle away from everyone else. Very clean and safe. The hike there is a bit difficult but so worth it. The hosts are very helpful and they love the jungle so much, it’s hard not to get dragged in!

Beautiful setting, secluded with copious wildlife. Jan took us on a night tour and was an exceptional guide. Everything we hoped for and more.

Excelent accomodation! Amazing view. In the middle of junge. True wild jungle experience!

Wer die Ruhe sucht und Tiere liebt ist hier genau richtig.
Die Unterlunft ist ein Highlight abseits von jedem Trubel.

Die Anreise mit dem Auto ist vorteilhaft.
Die Anreise per Bus geht auch ist diesem Fall allerdings mit einem längeren Fußweg verbunden, ggf. mit dem Besitzer sprechen.

Die Anfahrt gestaltet sich einfach dank der guten Beschreibung. Von der Hauptstraße rund, zack durch den Dschungel und man ist da.

Auf dem Parkplatz wechselt man Schuhe gegen Stiefel.
Jetzt sollte man überlegen was man wirklich braucht.

Der Aufstieg, 300 Stufen, die es in sich haben den Berg hinauf!
Der Lohn, eine Hütte am Berg umgeben von Dschungel!
Der Blick reicht bis zum Ozean, an drei Seiten offen ermöglicht eine Wahnsinns Aussicht.
Ein Paradies für Fotografen und Ruhesuchende.
Der Besitzer steht mit Rat und Tat zur Verfügung.

Die angebotene Nachtwanderung sollte man mitnehmen, es gibt nicht nur Tagsüber sondern auch besonders Nachts viel zu entdecken.

Der Park Manzanillo liegt direkt um die Ecke.
Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sollte man unterwegs bei der Anreise wahrnehmen.

Es gibt eine klasse Aussendusche!
Für Trinkwasser ist gesorgt!
Durch den offenen Baustil ist man Tieren direkt in Kontakt kann Affen und Vögel wunderbar beobachten!
5 Schritte weiter und man ist im Dschungel.

Minimum 3 Nächte sollte man bleiben.
Wer Party sucht und Angst vor Spinnen hat ist hier völlig Falsch!!

Wir haben hier unfassbar viel Besuch von Tucanen, Geieren, Papageien groß und klein, Aras, verschiedener Affen, Fröschen, Kolibries...
Abends auch Mücken und sonstige Insekten, also Spray mitnehmen. Es gibt hier auch kleine abbrennbare Spiralen, das ging gut. Das Haus ist ringsherum offen, somit hatten wir das Gefühl mitten in der Natur zu sein. Toller Blick. Ein sehr schöner Ort.
Nur mit Auto und Gummistiefel (für den letzten Aufstieg) zu erreichen.
Die Küche ist gut funktional ausgestattet. WLAN ist top.
Die Vermietenden sind super nett.

Nejde hodnotit jako běžné ubytování. Jedná se o chatu v džungli, pro skalní příznivce přírody. Po krátké cestě od pláže v Manzanillo se nachystejte na cca 300 schodů. Schody jsou vytvořeny z prken zasažených do terénu.
V chatě se může ubytovat "až 6 lidí. Výhled je skvostný! Ráno kolem létají papoušci, tukani a mnoho dalších ptáků. Při troše štěstí spatříte opice, lenochoda, či jiná zvířata.
Doporučuji milovníkům klidu, přírody a samoty.
It cannot be evaluated as ordinary accommodation. This is a cottage in the jungle, for rock fans of nature. After a short drive from the beach in Manzanillo, get ready for about 300 steps. The stairs are made of planks hit the ground.
The cottage can accommodate "up to 6 people. The view is magnificent! Parrots, toucans and many other birds fly around in the morning. With a little luck you will see monkeys, sloths or other animals.
I recommend to lovers of peace, nature and solitude.

Navštíveno již po třetí, fantastický zážitek, naprosté splynutí s přírodou, brašně výhledy a možnost pozorování zvířat. Hostitelé maximálně vstřícní. Vždy se budu ráda vracet. Manzanillo je jedinečné místo, srdeční záležitost.

Nádherné ubytování přímo v džungli,pozorování opic, papoušků,tukanů přímo z postele . Nádherná rána,kdy slyšíte dunět vlny oceánu a zpěv ptáků

To ráno a všechny jeho zvuky musíte sami zažít. Večer si zajděte s Honzou do džungle a máte fotek a zážitků na rok dopředu...
