Sarita Café

The best ice in town. If you want home made delicious ice cream, you have to swing by. We had a small cup (around 2 scoops) for 1800 colones with some kind of cookies ice cream with a crumbled waffle cookie mixed in. This has been by far the best sweet thing we had in town.

The best breakfast we had in La Fortuna! The owner is incredibly kind. If you’re a fan of sweet coffee, try the iced caramel macchiato. The crepe and typical breakfast were also delicious!

This cafe is just lovely! We had an Airbnb nearby and came here almost every day. The chicken quesadilla and chicken sandwich are amazing, the smoothies and the pancakes as well! Everything we tried from the menu was great!

The wifi is super fast too, we actually worked from there for a few hours on our last day in La Fortuna. The owner is very nice and friendly! Can’t wait to come back!

Our favorite spot in La Fortuna. Felt so lucky to have found this hidden gem.. we drove half an hour from our hotel twice, just to eat their delicious wraps, sandwiches, homemade ice cream, cake and coffee... simple ingredients, but so yummy- everything we tried, we loved. The owner(s) are very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a local, non-tourist trap, kinda spot to eat.

This cafe is wonderful and the owner Sara is such a lovely person, we ended up chatting for like an hour. I loved that this cafe was close to the center (5ish min walk), but far enough away to enjoy a calm quiet place to focus on some work, away from the traffic noises and the more touristy spots. The coffee was really good and they offer oat milk!

Absolutely recommend! We stopped in for a sweet crepe and were so pleased- we got the banana crepe and it was delicious! Also, the owner was lovely and very welcoming.

We accidentally interrupted Sara’s lunch but she still opened the café and served us the most amazing milkshake and sandwiches. Really tasty and fresh!

The most incredible breakfast that I have ever had!!! Sarita was so so kind and accommodating. This will be a staple for me every time that we travel to la fortuna. So many coffee options including cold brew and macchiatos. We will be back again and again. Thank you so much!

We had lunch here and absolutely loved it! They make the ice cream in house--the passion fruit was delicious as was the blackberry smoothie! The sandwiches and coffee were pretty good. The owners are very hospitable and kind, we would absolutely go back!

The food and drinks were so tasty, all made fresh. The ice cream was even better, try the chocolate. She was very friendly and atmosphere very comfortable. Food was so good we ended up eating there twice.

I highly recommend this cafe! Since 3 days I come here every day and can stay for hours...the food is fresh, delicious and really made with love. The decorations on the plates are fabulous! My favourite dish...waffle with fresh fruits and home made coconut ice cream ! You will never eat waffles anywhere else anymore, they are just PERFECT!!

This place is amazing! We took coffee and homemade ice cream and I tell you the passion fruit ice cream is a must to try! The lady that served us is very nice. You have to try this place, you won't be disappointed;)

Great little find! Kids loved the crepes and ice cream. Parents loved the coffee. They also have oat and almond milk. Adorable library upstairs.

A great local spot to grab a bite to eat at a fair price. Everything tasted so good had to come back another day. Must try their home made ice cream.
