Be Live Collection Cayo Santa María

This hotel is new, it opened in October so forgot reviews before that! We had such an incredible time in this hotel. We stayed there for 3 days a week ago and we had the pleasure to meet one of the managers: Eduardo, I believe he was called, from Brazil. He told us the history of the hotel, about the tornado from two years ago and even some Cuban history and the history about the Be Live Collection hotels. Also all the staff was extremely nice and super available to help us out with everything. In this hotel you have 3 free bars:one in the pool, one at the beach and the 24hour bar. You have 3 free restaurants: gourmet, Italian and traditional Cuban food that are available for dinner with reservation. Also its available a buffet restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are a lots of fun activities during day and evening that you can join in for free: activities near the beach and even evening shows. I had the best piña colada in Cuba, in this hotel! Also, some days there are coconuts being given to you. It's so cute! And, almost forgot, there is a pizzas place on the beach. Totally recommend it when you get hungry during the afternoon. You also have see activities like boat travels and snorkeling and some more. Also, cheap price for all we had!!!!!! Enjoyed it so much!

It was our first experience of all inclusive vacation and we absolutely enjoyed it!
Starting from the beginning - travel agent answered on all our questions very detailed and promptly. Upon arrival we were taken care of by the local agent and were brought to the hotel. Same on the way back - very good coordination and organization.
We were traveling with our daughter of 10 years old, got a room with three beds, where we just moved two beds together, so there you go: king size bed)) Room is nice and clean, we had a girl who cleaned it daily. Now... we did leave her tips (nut bar from Costco and stuff like toothbrush, stick deodorant, little shampoo from Dollarama... pretty cheap for us) - room was perfectly clean! She even organized our shoes...
In general - stuff is very friendly, not bugging you unless you look at them, so they know you need something. Also, we did leave tips to our favourite waitress and waiters, they were really nice.
Food is really good. Please do not expect pizza to be good there or burgers to be served! It's Cuba..... they are not used to this food, they only make it to satisfy Canadian customers))). Rice is amazing! Try it! The guy making rice with pork and chicken on open fire is amazing. His food was sooo good.
Fruits, veggies, salad, meat - everything was awesome.
Minus for someone maybe - no orange juice in the way we are used here in Canada..., but there is a lot of freshly done pineapple juice. We loved it.
Coffee in the lobby is awesome!
Beach and ocean is super good - white sand, warm water. It's a dream))
It's tricky a bit to change beach towels, because the guy who issues them doesn't seem to be on his place every day, but was only a challenge for us on the first day, when we left our towels on the beach. Then we just kept them overnight until the next day and just exchange it on our way to the beach, when someone was there. To all fairness - i think out of our 7 days there, we saw towel guy 5 times...
Will agree with some of the reviews: limited supply, like bar on the beach might not have pina colada for you, but it will be available at another bar besides the pool)))
When you go, pack a big thermos mug))), It can be filled with good stuff at any bar lol)))
Overall, great experience, will definitely go again and will recommend to friends.

Very nice beach, quite inside transportation, different services are available for different ages in a family, food was Ok, just be at the restaurant on time to get your favorite food. Friendly staff , helpful and on time tour guide and service (Hola Sun).Rooms are pretty Old but close to your expectation in Cuba. Nice nightly entertainment. Beautiful and clean pools, Just avoid the sand flees which make your trip uncomfortable.

One of the best cozy experience in my life. We were a bit off season (October) and there was almost nobody at the resort. Food was not the best but still great nonetheless.

5 Sterne für Kubaverhältnisse! (nach deutschen Standard 3) Waren nach 6 Tagen Rundreise für 9 Tage Badeurlaub dort, Zimmer großzügig, sauber, Klimaanlage funktionierte Einwandfrei, Reinigung erfolgte immer top. Minibar war kostenlos und täglich! mit Cola, Bier, Wasser aufgefüllt. Über kleinere Fehler ( Schiebetürverschluss etwas ausgegrackelt, unsaubere Fliesenarbeiten) kann man hinweg sehen, ist halt Kuba! Die Hotelanlage ist großzügig, mehrere Poolanlagen mit Bars - haben wir aber nur von weiten gesehen - Personal sehr freundlich (mit Trinkgeldern noch freundlicher..) Strand sehr gut, feiner Sand an Land und "Kilometerweit" ins Wasser hinein. Wenn man Ruhe wollte, ist man vom Hauptstrand links oder rechts ein paar Meter gelaufen und hatte dort auch Liegen und Schirme. Man nimmt dann am Besten Thermobecher für Getränke mit... Das Beste waren die Cocktails an der Lobbybar! Abends gab es kleinere "Programme" für Interessierte. Alle Hotels auf Cayo Santa Maria sind weit ab. Heißt, Unternehmungen sind dann mit Kosten und viel Zeit verbunden.

Zusammenfassung: Man darf nicht vergessen, Kuba ist durch das immer noch bestehende EMBARGO stark betroffen!!! Das macht sich natürlich in allen Bereichen bemerkbar. Man darf also nicht (für uns) normalen Standard in der Versorgung erwarten!!! Deshalb auch 5 Sterne für kubanische Verhältnisse von uns. Es kann sein, dass es mal keine Eier gibt, das ein oder andere alkoholfreie Getränk mal nicht verfügbar ist, das Buffet entsprechend der Möglichkeiten ausgestattet ist. Wir sind immer satt geworden, haben aber auch Abstriche gemacht... Die Kubaner sind sehr "Musikverliebt"! Diese begleitet beim Essen, am Pool oder in der Lobby... Der Anteil an russischen Gästen hielt sich glücklicherweise bei uns im Rahmen, ließ sich aber auch nicht vermeiden.

Der in den letzten Jahren befürchtete "Amerakanisierungsprozess" wird in Kuba nicht eintreten, schon erst recht nicht mit Trump. Wir befürchten eher, dass in den nächsten Jahren der innere Frieden leiden wird durch die steigenden sozialen und wirtschaftlichen Probleme. Wer nach Kuba möchte, sollte dies bald tun. Havanna sollte auch ein muss sein, da Altstadt und natürlich die Oldtimer absolut sehenswert sind. Die Kubaner sind sehr freundlich und absolut hilfsbereit. Wir fühlten uns zu jeder Zeit an jedem Ort sehr sicher und wohl!
Durch die Rundreise und Aufenthalte in mehreren Hotels konnten wir uns ein sehr gutes Bild machen, wir sind 49 und 50 Jahre alt.

Un lugar espléndido. Excelentes instalación y personal muy agradable. Playas limpias y muchas atracciones para pasar unas vacaciones inolvidables, Espectaculos, Discoteca... Cuenta con 7 Restaurantes con una amplia oferta de alimentos bien elaborados para todos los gustos. Las habitaciones limpias y amplias con resfrigerador, Tv, secador.

He tenido una experiencia inolvidable,margistral,muy acojedora con mi familia,atencione de los trabajador maravillosa,el el elenco de baile junto al show de animadores perfecto,los cocineros de los restaurants a la carta y el buffet exepcionales,en fin mis proximal vacaciones alli volvere,pies todo te hacen sentir familia hasta los Camaro de habitacion,de parte de Yandrei Santos ,Dania Perez y familia

Jedzenie przeciętne. Na szczęście w ośrodku znajduje się snack bar. Obsługa bardzo miła, a plaża jak na Malediwach. Ogólnie bardzo polecamy.

Maravilloso lugar, instalaciones y actividades en donde no te lo ofrecen en ningún lugar de manera agradecida. Venir a Cuba y llegar a este paraiso...super mis expectativas !!
