Playa Costa Verde

In my opinion it is a great hotel, with excellent service, magnificent staff, with a good heart that make you feel at home. Beautiful, comfortable and cozy rooms. Lovely beach and good sun. For me, one of the best places to visit in Cuba.

I had the pleasure of spending 1 month at this amazing resort 😍 ❤. Just got back yesterday. I chose a smaller capacity (+/-390 rooms) hotel with an amazing staff that looks after everyone with the utmost of care and appreciation.
There was no lack of food/desert choices. Simply a great feast to suit everyone's taste buds. I had a fabulous time. The beach and the reserve were absolutely incredible.

This resort was amazing with plenty of good food and activities.
Staff are all very friendly and work hard to make sure that each one has a good time.
Spatially I enjoy food. A lot of local fruits and vegetable with is organic/pesticide free. Everyday variety of sea food such as different kind of fish, shrimp, calamari, octopus, and others. It was Lobster dinner for everybody on Friday. All meals prepared delicious by professionals sheaf from Dominican republic.
I highly recommended this resort.

Staff is amazing, that’s why I always come back, variety of food and drinks, restaurants À la Carte are excellent, rooms are clean and the maids do a great job, beach is beautiful, pool is very clean. I would highly recommend this resort.

I myself was one that after our last adventure to Cuba had enough. However this resort and staff has changed mind, for the money spent this place was well worth the money and almost a hidden gem in a sense. We met lots of guest that had been here several times (one couples 6th) and say that before all craziness this was an even better place. Everyone was so happy and helpful. The food was above the Cuban standard and the à la carte were nice, my family enjoyed the Cuban and Japanese. The buffet considering supply issues was great with a good selection and that chocolate ice cream..... The only negatives overall I'd say is the supply of certain things such as wines and liquors, buffet main dishes being lack of a variety and selection in the snack bar it's either ham and cheese or ham and cheese after the first few orders get the choice. Keep in mind that these are not necessarily in the control of the resort. And the rooms were about what you'd expect from a 20+ year old resort the doors beat up and washrooms a little out dated. Bring a travel plug and some extra soaps and toiletries.
Would I go here again? Yes and I believe this place is a great value for your dollar. If your are traveling to anywhere in the Caribbean keep in mind that every little bit you can spare will help as most of these places have been hit by lack of tourism and supply issues for two years.

Loved my week at this resort. Food was good and it is impressive how the chefs are able to make numerous different meals with limited ingredients. Cuban and Japanese restaurants were also great. Stunning beach, clean hotel and wonderful service. I highly recommend bringing bug spray (sand mosquitoes are very present). Will definitely be returning!

I went on Agost in this wonderfull paradise with my family. We enjoyed all services, the beach is the clear with white sand. The food and drinks perfect, variety of drinks, the buffet has good food. The rooms very confortable, always clean. The animation activities very fun. I recommend this place for another peolple. Be sure I will back.

Hola from Kitchener, Ontario, Canada! We visited this great place in March 2023 for 1 week. Thank you so much Yanis Doval for staying late to receive my family! You are the best amiga! From top to bottom if this resort... the service is very friendly. The staff are very polite. We did not want for anything foodwise! The buffet was great! Pasta and omelette stations everyday were great! I got feeling that management was almost apologetic to tell me of shortages! I went there with open mind. I know all the hard times Cuba goes through because of the embargo so it didn’t phase me at all. Bread was great! Lots of butter, mayo, vinegars, jams, ketchup etc. May want to bring your own table salt and pepper as their shakers are not the best due to humidity issues. They specialize in pork dishes/cutlets/tenderloins/bacon/lunch meats etc. The day after Cuban Day (they roast a full pig near the pool) is the day you want to look for pork slices marinated in God's sauce on the buffet! Tender and melt in your mouth heaven! Make sure you try the Cuban meals. Simple. Not spicey. But quite good! Especially the bread/buns for making Cubanos! I am not a coffee drinker but I had a few sips of my husband's cappuccino one day.....wow!!!!! It is very strong and good! Hugh recommend for lobby bar morning hot drinks! Had lobster and steak stuffed peppers at vip Italian restaurant. Verrrry good! The room was nice and very clean and the cleaning personnel is very professional. Thank you very much Yanara Parra I hope you enjoy the adult/children’s clothing/toiletries/treats we left for you! And thank you again Yanis for the welcome gifts on the bed! The pool is large and you can always find a lounger. The tiles are old and are starting to peel up but very clean otherwise. The long beach is gorgeous with soft white sand (powder-like) and turquoise blue water. What’s not to love? Bring water shoes for the rocks/reefs and snorkel gear to see the colourful fishies! The Entertainment team do a great job. It’s all the little extra things this staff and hotel do that gives it such charm. The gardeners love every little treat you can spare and have the most amazing smiles waiting to offer you! Same for the life guards at the pool and the staff at the pool hut! I shared chocolates with them all and gave a pool floatie to the entertainment team member who thanked us profusely on behalf of its new owner....his little nephew. The grounds are very clean and the gardens are very well kept, beautiful to behold and be around such lush environment. Even during dry season without rains it was gorgeous. I loved the big windows and the scenery. the a la carte restaurants, the waiters will go above and beyond for you. I loved the Snack Bar and the people in it, my daughter loved the pool table under the nice canopy roof. There are activities round the clock and you'll never be bored. Mailin Cernada at the Kids Club is amazing and speaks many languages! She held a birthday party and invited kids to it at the pool. We went and made a 6 year old's year! She adored our gifts and was in shock with gratitude. Alexa we will never forget your mini party! The resort is very compact, you can walk everywhere! I loved walking over the bridge and little lagoons to get to the beach and seeing all beautiful birds! I felt safe at night walking alone. My family and I extend our thanks and gratitude to some of the nicest people we met on our recent trip there: Yanis Doval (enough cant be said for this young professional she spent so much time with my family and iIand we really got to know and appreciate her), Alejandro (congratulations on your new baby boy!) At front desk area: Laritza Montero, Adrien, Orlando (sell him your Canadian bills for his loonies/twoonies on your way home), at the buffet: Jennis and Luzmila Barnuevo (Lucy), Lisa at both the Italian VIP and Japanese, Jesús Concepción Rodríguez at the pool bar, and all of the amazing staff at the front desk and lobby bar. I've been many times to Cuba, and when I bought this trip I did not have high expectations. But i was pleasently surprised on arrival. Not much negative things I can say , especially for the price I've paid. Anyway the place is cozy , food is really eatable and the most important for me the rooms did not have the musky smell like all the other places I've visited in Cuba

Excelent hotel, I have been at this resort so many times and I have to say that I am always pleased with the place. Rooms need to be updated but they are always clean. Food at the buffet restauarant is great even for the season and the circunstances of the country. On the bars you can have lot of choices of drinks and mainly the nice Piña Coladas. Activities at the pool so funny and the entertainment team is great. Me and my friends will be back soon at this place cause I love it every time more.Nice work PCV

First of all the front desk staff were great. Juan, the front desk manager, was amazing and took care of our group of 4. Food was good plenty to choose from. If you're looking for food that is similar to Mexico or Jamaica, then pay the 3k+ per person and get better food and options. There were some shortages, but the resort did a great job with what they had and tried to change up every day. Omar at the pool Cabana bar was fantastic. He provided great service and made good drinks, mostly cuban Rum. Like others say rooms are dated but worked fine for all of us, I'm not spending much time in my room, I'm in Cuba. The beach was fantastic, and snorkeling was amazing. There's a lot of fish right in front and to the right of the dive center dock. There were a lot of rude people treating the workers poorly, 1 person was complaining because they yolk of their egg broke when it was being cooked, or others trying to jump ahead in line because they don't want to wait. These workers are trying to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. Being disrespectful towards them does not help others after you, nor will it help you when you are back at the station next time. Remember when revieing these ratings that the people providing negative reviews could be these rude people. There is an amazing coffee bar throughout the resort with the best cappacionos. Overall, it was a fantastic visit, and we all can't wait to return only next time for 2 weeks. I spoke to a lot of workers about tips, keep Canadian or American dollars for tips to not change to Cuban money. The banks there will not take loonies or toonies, so you can change bigger bills with cleaning staff or bars. Try not to put a crease in your bills or give bills that are written on or torn. Their banks will not take those bills.

My family and me spend a Magic time is this nice Resort, where the staff is very kind, specially Enrique the sales manager is the best one!! The food with nice flavor. My family is very happy and we hope to back soon!!

It´s a small hotel which makes everything accessible and very close. The beach is beautiful and the resort cleanliness is impeccable. The staff are very friendly and professional. My family and I especially thank Yanis from the commercial area for helping us with our request. We are sure to return for Christmas!! We can't wait to return. Thanks to the PCV family.

Wow, where to start! I travelled solo in mid-December 2022, and had exactly the relaxing, nourishing vacation that I had wanted- and more!

I found the staff to be incredible - so friendly, genuine, generous, and helpful. Big shout out to (among others!) Samara in housekeeping who took such good care of me, Jesus at the pool bar who had us all laughing all day, and the lovely ladies at the breakfast and lunch buffets. I didn't catch their names, by bad, something like Zownie and her colleague. It was my first time there, but I could see the relationships they had built with returning guests, and they truly went above and beyond.

The resort itself was fabulous - the grounds and gardens are stunning, and it's so cool to see them cut down the coconuts for drinks! The beach is gorgeous - idyllic. I took a snorkel and water shoes, and would recommend both to be able to swim out a little and hang out in the water. The water is super clear and warm, and lots of fish and things to see!

I loved the pool- huge and beautiful, and clean, with a great bar. I sometimes found the music a little loud lol, but there was lots of fun or chill time to be had. I participated in Aqua Gymnastics daily and it was sooooo much fun, I looked forward to it each morning!

I am not a picky eater, and I found the food to be great. Lots of variety, I particularly loved the Cuban food stations. Lots made to order if desired, and the a la cartes were nice- I loved the Japanese. The snack bar was also a great spot for pizza and sandwiches in a low key setting, and we had SO much fun watching the World Cup final there.

As a woman traveling solo, I felt super safe, and was lucky to have other awesome guests who were staying there when I did- lovely friendly people, everyone I met had such positive energy.

I can't wait to return- I cannot describe how lovely the vibe was. Thank you for everything, Playa Costa Verde! Hope to see you again soon :)- update, have booked a return trip in March. Hasta luego!

Loved the hotel , rooms are good and it s beaches are bar none. The staff was great , at swim up bar , lobby bar , maid , and overall management. Small problem first day with air , fixed before we came back from lunch.

I truly enjoyed the buffet , always fantastic omelets , and fresh pancakes , my fav , lol As far as shortages went I really only noticed the pop , no orange(my hangover cure .lol) and no clear pop , 7 up , lime , whatever you call it.

Tons of french fries , everyday , unusual for me anyways , A la Cartes were good , smaller portions , enjoyed lunch at the Trattorio near the bear garden 3 times , real good fish and pork.

Lobby bar was fun in the evening , live entertaiment most nights , high end cart after 9pm, I m just a beer guy lol. I did not have a problem finding can beer , as much as I want at the 24 hr Beer Garden , draft most other places , room always had cans.

Went into the city , brought 1st timers , they had a blast , no idea you could walk the streets and enjoy the locals amongst them , don t know if ya don t try, glad they tried.

Most pleasant stay. The staff and Guest Service were all charming, smiling and very cooperative. Although the food was not always varied, I found my fill. Very hot weather, only sunny and humid so lots of sunscreen and aloe vera to soothe sunburns. The beach and the sea are beautiful and the white sand is soft for the feet. You will not be disappointed (corals, snorkeling, etc.). Good entertainment for the kids too. For the price I paid, I was very satisfied overall. Internet, however, deficient on some occasions.
