Hotel Brisas Guardalavaca

I discovered Brisas this year (2022) and made three visits throughout the year. Have made many visits to Cuba and stayed in many different hotels in various locations across the island. Brisas was by far the most satisfying and enjoyable.
Location and facilities were perfect. Beautiful beach. Great variety of amenities, Quiet Areas,Oceanside Trails, Prompt Response by Staff to any requests for assistance. Buffet always had something to satisfy and loved the special restaurants, especially the Cuban and Seafood Restaurants with their ocean views. Some excellent entertainment in the evenings. Most impressed by the staff - a real willingness to be of assistance in every way possible.
Brisas is know my Cuban destination of preference and will be returning whenever possible. Thank you to all who made my vacations so enjoyable.

Beautiful place like paradise. Very large resort with two types of residence. Rooms and villas. Five restaurants, five bars and buffet. Very clean and decent rooms. The beach is not that great compared to other places in Cuba. Foods are plentiful and decent. Keep in mind it's Cuba and not many private companies and no GMO products. Whatever you eat is healthy other than sugary drinks and foods. They have boats and bicycle that you can reserve for free if you have all inclusive package. All you do it tip hard working poor Cubans. There's club house for games and chess. The resort is located in forest and you have both beach and forest atmosphere. What a beautiful setting. The entertainment was fantastic every day. Accommodations and the staff are great. It's an older resort but spotless and very clean.

A beautiful resort right on the beach. Minimal walking to get around this well laid out hotel. Service and staff amazing. Go, you will be so pleased.

My heart will forever be with Brisas. What amazing atmosphere, people from all around the world gather and become friends. Everyone is friendly. No snobs.. please be kind. Cuba is going through tough times. They do the best with what they have. 10 stars!!!! I love you Brisas

I would come again beaches were amazing and pools great as was the staff. Only issue was getting water. There was no place to purchace so we had to hope they gave u a bottle daily. I wound up going.to the bar and filling up.my empty containers. Didnt go to town as the stores Hotel had age but was clean and well kept. We stayed in a villa 5204 was good condition. Had 1 queen and double.bed. had great veiw of the beach and ocean. Property was large but only half was open and only 1 restaurants was open the others were closed. Had two pools open but they where vclean and good condition. Food was as expected every one knows you don't come here for food.The beer was fine but no Havana club rum.

Loved this holiday. Stayed here for 10 days. Pool was clean and the swim up bar was great. Sunbeds around the pool can get taken up quite quickly. The beach had plenty though. Clean beach and a few water activities. Personally I struggled to find food I liked in the restaurant in the evenings Breakfast was my favourite meal. Lunchtime I had food from the poolside snack bar which was cooked fresh to order. Chips, omelette, burgers etc. I would go back again. We were a group of 4 adults in our late 30's and we went in june.

Hotel is nice, the staff is great, very nice people. no complaints about the rooms. The food is okay. The water at the beach is beautiful and clear. Our family had a blast at this location. Very family oriented. Would definitely go back.

Very well maintained Resort ! Delicious food and drinks ! Very kind staff. Clean Rooms. Beautiful beach ! Taxi´s by car or by horse (long/short distances). Nice pool with pool bar, Whirlpool. You can even sleep at the beach (I did). Very safe !

This resort has the charm of yesterday- a trait that is uniquely Cuban. The staff is fantastic! The food in the main dining hall can be a bit odd, but there is plenty of it and you will have no problem finding plenty to eat. The smaller restaurants scattered throughout the resort grounds offer excellent food, the International Restaurant in particular. The beach is gorgeous.

Second time here, will definitely come back. Always plenty of food. Entertainment staff great. Pool bar staff amazing.

Felt like a home from home. Amazing beach and wonderfully friendly people. Hotel was exceptionally clean and although the food was sometimes a bit weird and wonderful, we never went hungry. Plenty of things to see and do in the surrounding areas and a ride in an old american car is a must. The staff at Brisas are amazing and should be commended for the fantastic job they do. We hope to return as soon as we can.

From start to finish this was one of the best holidays I've ever had. The weather the people and the country in general was amazing. The hotel was really well maintained and very clean and was always being maintained in one way or another while we were there. Food i found fine never struggled to find something to sink my teeth into, you may struggle with smaller children but the snack bar will come in handy for this. Would go back tomorrow if I could.

We have been here 9 times - planning our 10th return in November. We stay in the Villas usually but in low season we are going to try the main building (our friends got a room last time and it was nice). The staff are great and helpful, it helps if you you try to learn some Spanish (especially if you are picky or high maintenance) as sometimes there is a language barrier in certain situations. We have never had issues with theft. We do purchase a safe to keep our passports and extra cash but it is not because we fear the staff will take it (we have accidentally left safe wide open and returned to a clean room and ALL of our stuff - including all the money- being where we left it) it is just precaution. Majority of guests are friendly (we are visiting German friends we met here in spring) and the atmosphere is a lot of fun. If you are looking for a late night party place I would not suggest here but there are beach parties down at the public beach (10 min away) on the weekend that are a lot of fun and go into the wee hours of the morning. The food is decent (you get what you pay for if you want high end dining pay $2800 a week for Jamaica) we have never felt there was nothing to eat. I am vegetarian and love the pizza from the snack bar - my husband LOVES the burgers. I highly recommend this place!!!

Amazing week relaxing with friends and family. It was our second trip to Las Brisas and won't be the last. Service and staff dedication are paramount. Food was good without been excellent due to the well known difficulties that Cuba experiences but there was food for everyone and for every taste.

Great place, lovely friendly, helpful staff. Accommodation a bit tired but renovation programme is ongoing. Wonderful food and drink, free use of water craft. Had a great two week holiday there in May 2018. Catch the tourist train or a take a walk along some of the hidden tracks to get a feel of the real Cuba.

Got married here in April 2014. Fantastic resort with excellent beach. Staff very friendly and helpful and food choice good from 6 restaurants. Stayed in Villa area which was quitter than the main hotel area. 24hr snack bar served pizza after midnight!!

Absolutely by far best holiday ever ! We got married out here and it was absolutely perfect and amazing value for money! Such lovely thoughtful staff! Clean! Amazing food choices ! Drinks were fab and so much entertainment and things to do! Beautiful beach 😊

Very nice place , very nice staff and food . If you like drinks be careful because they give generous amount of alcohol. Beautiful beach good entertainment. Hotel is a bit dated but they start refurbish when we was leaving.
