Do you want to get away from the riffraff? Well, here's a nice place to go if you want to swim and enjoy the beach. Expect to mandatorily pay at least 1500 per person. The food is great. Parking is no problem. I'd go again.

Very good place to go with your family. Food is pretty good and prices are attractive. Highly recommend this place, especially if you want to go to the beach without the worries of where to leave your car at, or what would you eat or if you need to pick your own beach table or chairs. This place has it all covered for you 😉

Great service and staff! Highly recommend coming here and enjoying their daybeds on the sand or shore. Their food and wine selection is great. Nothing like sitting on a daybed, enjoying a nice bottle of wine, and plate of ceviche. Can't recommend this place enough.

Hands down the best pizza spot in the area. It's been a while since I've been excited about eating pizza, but this was not just another pizza pie for a few reasons.

First, this was one of the cleanest and thoughtfully designed places, not just it Dominican Republic, but I have no hesitation saying it's one of the cleanest anywhere food is served in the world, having worked in the food service industry, if someone took that much attention to detail in the design of the store I can only imagine what the food is like, which to be honest is what attracted me into the resturant in the first place.

Second, after tasting the deep dish pizza I felt it more like an experience tasting the Wisconsin cheese perfectly melted, over tasty pizza sauce that complemented the cheese just right, with a flaky crunchy bottom pizza crust the supported each slice and just crunchy enough to break with the bite, and the soft middle of the pan pizza brings the whole flavor and experience of eating this deep dish pie served here.

Lastly, they don't just serve pizza. We also ate a perfectly seasoned Cunk and Shrimp dish. Wish is had taken picture, but it looked and tasted so good it did not last long on the plate.

In conclusion, whether it's for a family trip, group trip, date night, visiting Santa Domingo and looking for a day trip, or visiting for a day and decide to stay in the area for a few days because the beach is so calm and relaxing as I did, this spot will not let you down and is definitely worth the travel whatever your reason.

I extend my sincerest gratitude to this establishment during our visit and it's a pleasure to see an establishment take so much pride in the their employee experience combined with the customer experience, thoughtful layout which translates into quality food to be enjoyed.

Very quiet place with reasonable prices.. I love it.. I went twice.. a friend referred it to me..the beach is right there without vendors that drive you crazy like Boca Chica.. it is just 10 minutes away .. the food was very good

I recently returned from a vacation in the original resort area of the Dominican Republic, Juan Dolio. Should you visit there and get tired of “Hotel Food”, I found the perfect solution. There is a beautiful new and very modern open air two story restaurant on the beach in Old Town Juan Dolio named Playa Del Sol. This place has it all. Great location on the beach with a niche for a romantic dinner overlooking the turquoise ocean or a bar that caters to Americans (complete with big screen TV’s to watch your favorite hometown team in the USA).

I went there to get some American comfort food and fell in love with the “Original Chicago-Style Deep Dish Pizza”. It is fabulous and gives Pizzeria Uno on Wabash Street in Chicago a run for its money. With a friendly staff that spoke several languages, including English, it proved to be a home away from home.

The atmosphere and food were so enticing that I returned for another visit with my friends to sample the local Dominican cuisine. We had a variety of Caribbean dishes that included a delicious whole fish, tender chicken with fresh vegetables with rice together with some homemade glazing sauces that were to die for. I myself had a lobster that was grilled at my request. It came with a garlic butter dipping sauce that was magnificent.

On the second visit there were apparently some celebrity baseball players from the Dominican Pro League dinning at the restaurant that evening. The Chef made an appearance at their table in his all white suit complete with the traditional tall hat and for a moment you felt as though you were on the French Riviera. Fortunately, the prices at Playa Del Sol are a small fraction of those found in Cannes or Saint-Tropez.

I am stingy at giving out five star ratings because there are so many fabulous restaurants when traveling the world but you do not normally find a gem of this quality in the Caribbean! Excellent cuisine on the beach in a pristine and friendly environment for extremely reasonable prices. I am all in. Bon Appétit!

Great place to be relaxed and quite

Went on a weekend and found it really peaceful, clean and with a good service. Booking a spot would be reccomended before going.
