Reserva Nacional Parque Del Este Bayahibe

Was $5.00 USD (250 pesos) per person (kids don’t pay). Took about 40 min to get to the cave. It was deeper than we thought. We wished we had brought our headlamps instead of just our phones. Wear tennis shoes/sneakers. Lovely aqua blue/green water. A lot of pretty fish if you snorkel or paddle board (careful with the coral/rock near the entrance to the beach).

This is the Parque Nacional Park del Este (East National Park) main entrance. There is free parking along the wall in front of Cadaques Caribe Resort & Villa. It's about a 10-15 minute (1000 m) easy walk via dirt road to the Ranger Station at the ocean.

Beautiful, large park. Took a long walk along coastline and only saw boats going by missing such beauty on their way to Saona Island. Took the trail into Cueva de Puenta and explored the large cave completely by ourselves! We felt like Indiana Jones!

Amazing beach. Had a blast on the catamaran.
