An oasis in the mountains. The kindness and friendliness of the staff is unequaled. The location is beautiful with the mountains surrounding the ensconced resort. The cabins were spacious with large wonderful showers. The hot springs were just the thing to help relax after a week of adventure in the Galapagos. Our server, waiter, busboy, and bartender Dennis, was a shining star. Always eager to help to the point of bringing a small pot of coffee with a cup and sugar on a tray to our daughters room when she was feeling unwell. All we asked for was a cup to go. This is an example of the above and beyond hospitality he showed us. Alejandra at the front desk was a true gem. Helpful and caring with all our needs. The only drawbacks are a lack of microwaves and small refrigerators in the rooms. This is offset a bit by the delicious dishes prepared by the on-site restaurant. The spa itself was enjoyable for massages and prices are beyond reasonable. Overall a wonderful experience that will last a lifetime.

This resort is nestled in an absolutely spectacular location in the mountains of Equador. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. We did miss having a refrigerator in the room. The hot springs are located right outside your room! So convenient and relaxing. The restaurant has a varied menu everything we ate was delicious and beautifully presented. Our server Dennis was so sweet and accommodating, every one of the staff there were so friendly. The spa was great and the prices were very reasonable. The grounds are filled with beautiful plants and flowers. They have a hike there with spectacular views of the country and river. We saw cows, llamas, rabbits and someone saw a fox! The only issue we had was that outside of the resort itself there were a few delicious local restaurants but nothing else, no town, no shipping, but if you are looking for a relaxing time in beautiful surroundings, this is the place for you!

A little taste of paradise. Amazing place to relax after a long trip before you leave the country. Only an hour away from Quito. Recommend getting the chocolate wrap at the spa. Take advantage of the pools around the rooms as much as possible. Really nice place.

The facility is modern and beautiful. The entrance fee (2024 approx $23) gives you access to the facility. We didn't lodge but used the hot springs and the ice-cold dipping pool although there is also a warm but not hot pool.

Steam rises out of the pools since the location is at a very high altitude and thus quite chilly. The pools feature hot water running from many individual faucets. The pool interiors are ceramic but surrounded by stonework.

You get a spacious wooden locker, the hot spring pools and well equipped private bathroom showers with shampoo, conditioner and bodywash dispensers. Private dressing areas and a counter area with blow dryers allow you to avoid the chill of wet hair. Polished granite counters, beautiful ceramic and interior glass walls showing gorgeous plants and many thoughtful details make the experience delightful.

A waiting area offers the warmth of a wood stove, comfortable seating and a tray of herbal teas, including coca tea for altitude sickness.

The staff is obsequious as well as professional. Fresh towels and bags for wet clothing are offered. There is a full menu of spa services including a comprehensive array of different massages for additional fees.
There is a basic but pricey restaurant on the premises. (a water bottle was over $3)

Termas Papallacta was a unique hotel experience and a must to visit!

My friends and I booked an extensive hiking/backpacking trip in Ecuador and stayed here 2 nights to unwind and we were so happy we did.

The hotel has pools outside your hotel door you can hop into and unwind as well as access to their little water park with even more bigger pools.

The restaurant was okay it was very delicious and the breakfast is free during your stay but the dinner was a bit over priced in comparison to other hotels but overall a great dining experience.

We loved our server Fernando!

Overall great stay and the views are incredible as well.

If you’re a hiking please consider visiting the national park that’s less than 3 minutes away. It’s a beautiful hike worth visiting!

WOW, the most amazing stop on our itinerary !! The room was comfortable and had what was needed. The setting is like a botanical garden, the plants are beautiful and I saw many hummingbirds. The spa and thermal pools were wonderful, the staff attentive and well trained. Finally, the restaurant serves delicious meals. If you're within 100 miles of this place stop for a couple nights !!!!

I was totally not sure what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised! Though the weather was in the 50s, the water in the pools was nice and warm! Our cabin was cute and the fireplace was a nice touch!
Had a really nice bamboo massage at the spa.

Beautiful and comfortable. Food is good but almost double the cost of comparable restaurants. No idea why Google shows this as a 3 star facility. It should be "5".

We arrived one day earlier than planned, and we did not regret! A beautiful place with your own (almost) personal hot springs right outside the door. Spacious rooms with nice bathrooms. People at front desk were extremely helpful. Awesome hikes in the national park.

Feedback to restaurant: When we had dinner the last night, the service was extremely slow. There was only one other table occupied in the restaurant and a lot of staff working. Despite this, we were not able to order dessert or drinks, so we just left.

We had an absolute blast coming here. The hot springs were amazing. Very relaxing and calm environment. The restaurant had good food and lots of options so even eating there a few times was no issues. The customer service was absolute phenomenal everyone was wonderful. The main staff spoke both English and Spanish so we had no trouble getting around or asking questions. I would definitely recommend making this a couple day trip out of Quito if you have the time and it is well worth it to stay the night. The beds were super comfy and the shower was great too. They even have access to some really cool hiking/walking trails that are gorgeous. 10/10 all around our favorite part of our trip to Ecuador.

Relaxing time,
We arrived at Palallacta the weather was cooler from Quito. Jennifer the front desk agent was very helpful when she checked us in and explained what we can do though out the stay. The Hot spa was so relaxing we spent hours in the Hot water. Our server Orlando was amazing and helped us Order our breakfast, lunch, and dinner and lots of coffees lol big thanks to Orlando. The trip was worth it and it definitely recommends for family couples and all kind.

Simply amazing! The spit is perfect for this incredible spa where the service is the best. Massages are very good although a little expensive but they are worth it. Is a must if you are in Quito and want a dayoff of the city! Chill place to relax and have a calm day.
