Checkpoint Cayambe Coca Ecological Reserve

Wonderful paramo park with easy walking trails, numerous lagunas and cascades, and excellent opportunities for bird-watching. A genuine “get-away-from-it-all” place. Highly recommended.

Peaceful place to take a rest from city. It is about 14km for walking. Take care about the weather and equipment you bring!

Very nice place for a hike after visiting the Cascade.

First time visiting. I was there this weekend. A nice drive and scenery up to the campsite. Nice off-road for 4x4 vehicles. From the campsite it's 2.5 km hike to the refuge. Beautiful like all the mountains in Ecuador!

This is the entrance for the Milagrosa waterfall and several lakes in the area. Helpfull people

Incredibly wild and windblown place. Beautiful! You'll have the place to yourself. Elfin forest and Paramo, great highlands birds.

A beautiful and quiet place to be close to nature. In the surroundings you can find many small lakes. A great hiking area.

Excelente lugar para hacer caminata y disfrutar de las muy bonitas vistas que nos ofrece un lugar tan natural como este, puedes encontrar de todo en este lugar desde plantas lindas hasta lagunas donde puedes pescar

Espectacular, un paraíso natural ideal para realizar caminatas para conocer varias lagunas y cascadas (la Cascada Milagrosa es impresionante). Hay varias rutas con varios niveles de dificultad, a veces los caminos pueden llenarse de lodo por las lluvias. Es muy recomendable para ir a disfrutar de la naturaleza, siempre con algo de abrigo y dependiendo del día con ropa impermeable.

Un lugar extraordinario en muchos aspectos, con belleza exuberante y paisajes asombrosos. Ideal para una caminata en familia o solitaria. Fue increíble divisar la variedad de plantas que había y como es el páramo en su estado más puro.

Fantastisch mooie plek. Wat een rust, wat een stilte, heerlijk! Met de taxi ernaartoe en we werden meteen goed ontvangen door de park ranger, hij legde ons goed en duidelijk uit hoe en waar de route was. Al was dit niet helemaal nodig want het pas is zeer duidelijk en gemakkelijk te vinden. Zelfs met de regen en mist de hele dag was het een ontzettend fijne wandeling, goed te doen in een aantal uur.
